Roger and out
Advantages: Useful littles devices
Disadvantages: none as of yet
...I'm a gadget freak, it's taken me a while to realise but yep that would definitely be the category to place me in, and as such I just like to try the odd little gadget that really isn't that much use to me but does cause me to have a little bit of fun.
Such an item is the Binatone Latitude which I purchased for £12.99, batteries not included, but acquired quite cheaply from my favourite Poundland. Three AAA batteries are required for each unit and they are easily installed after the removal of the rather large securing screw which holds the backing plate to the main unit. Thereupon the orientation and placement is as per the neat diagram on the inner face of the unit. The replacing of the back cover makes the units once again waterproof, not that I even remotely intend to be submerged for long enough to verify...

Binatone e800 - the budget handset
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Lack of enhanced functions
...Introduction
At work, we still live in the dark ages where wired telephones are very much the norm. In our office however, we have dedicated support PC's which we constantly need to move to from our own PC's. As it was getting silly with trailing wires all over the office floor, the boss decided to buy us a new hands free phone kit. The kit he went for was the Binatone E800 twin set. I think this was probably the cheapest he could find but nonetheless we were still grateful as it was an unexpected gesture from him.
In the box
The box itself was very small, containing just the 2 handsets, 2 small bases, a power lead and the instruction manual. Being IT guys, we completely ignored the manual and attempted to set the phones up the way we thought.
Setup
Before we could use the handsets, they needed to be...

Binatone MA760
Advantages: answerphone, hands free
Disadvantages: its small-ness may be a problem for some
... BINATONE MA760
THE PHONE
I got this phone about a year ago- from a car-boot! It cost me a fiver, However if this one breaks i'll definately replace it from Argos, where they are priced at around 22 pounds - which is a fab price considering they feature an answering machine.
The phone is black and silver in colour at the front and plain black at the back, The charger dock is also black and silver, with two lights on the front. The green one is to tell you that the phone is on the dock- although there is a loud beep that also tells you its connected on the cradle correctly. The red light is telling you that the phone is being charged or if the light is off, its telling you that its fully charged.
The keys are soft and made from rubber, making it an easy phone to use when dialling.
Its a cordless, Digital...

Binatone is Back
Advantages: Wall Mountable
Disadvantages: No Display
...have to write in. Bad thing is that this cannot be removed then put back in.
***What would make it Better***
There are alot of ways to make this better like the following:
1)LCD Display
2)Answer Machine
3) Caller Display Module.
and a million others probably.
This handset is a cheap one and i only paid £4.99 for it. My father always said dont pay cheap because you will only get the basics to get you up and running. I wish i had taken his advice. I wouldn't even give this to my 10 year old sister to play with. It is Very Fisher-Price. You buy cheap you get Rubbish.
***Reception***
The Binatone Trend offers good reception in most area's.
***Internet***
The bad this about this is that you cannot link this handset up to the internet. I am going out tomorrow to by that new Amstrad e-mailer phone. That is brilliant....

Binatone MD1500
Advantages: small, call ID, battery life.
Disadvantages: nothing much.
...This Binatone MD1500 cordless homephone is a very useful phone, really handy small size and with plenty of useful features. I have two different cordless phones in my house, the other is a BT F70 big bulky handset. The Binatone is by far the better phone in my opinion, other than the fact that this phone disconnects my internet when in use but that is just my connection problems...
It is a nice small phone which is comfortable to hold, well designed. Looks pretty sitting in the corner of the room too. It has an inbuilt loudspeaker which is useful for long phonecalls when your arm aches from holding it too long. The control button for the loudspeaker is the red button above the green call button. This is sometimes a bit annoying as it looks like a end call button like on a mobile phone so don't get confused.
Another useful feature...

BINATONE PEGASYS 1200!!
Advantages: small,lightwieght,cheap
Disadvantages: feels and looks quite cheap
...Our BT quartet 1100(what is it with these names!) had been
making irritating wailing electronic weird noises whilst on the
phone to someone and mum couldn't take it anymore.
mum brought the BINATONE PEGASYS 1200, when it got home
i was asked to set it up and decided i could help her then help
myself by writing a review on it.
it came in a small box and was clear it was cheap from the
packaging and the fact it had £14.99 sticker on it. i got it out and
fixed the battery into the back of the phone then for once decided
to read the manual! (as there was no quick start guide) it said
charge for 15 hours before use!(looking at the guide now i cant
find where it said this but I'm sure it did) so i out it on charge
and left it till the next day.
buttons: the phone and base have a variety of buttons like many...

Binatone Vantage 4210
Advantages: see my first review of the telephone
Disadvantages: see my first review of the telephone
...Although you can no longer buy the Bonatone Vantage 4210 you can track down used handsets and base units from places like eBay and Amazon. I have had my 4210 for over 18 months and it still looks, feels and performs like it did the day my purchase arrived. Even if it died and refused to work ever again, 18 months use for £30 is nothing to turn your nose up about. The thing is, I can't see my 4210 ever starting to look outdated and if it gives me a further 6 months of hassle free performance I may well break out into song as I really didn't expect much prior to buying it. I think Binatone, I think of the first cordless telephones that looked awful and tacky.
What sets the 4210 aside from its nasty predesessor is the fact that it is near on identical to a Siemens cell phone I owned about 3 years ago and still brings back memories...

A Binatone That's ET To Use
Advantages: Stylish With A Good Array Of Features
Disadvantages: Hard To Find If You Want One
...In the electric department of Asda my eye was caught by a price tag, above which was an answer phone. I quickly studied the tag just to confirm it related to the phone, and it did. They only wanted £4.99 and that seemed too good a bargain to miss so in the trolley it went. At the check out the price came up wrong (£17.99 if I remember correctly) so I pointed out the ticket price. Away went a supervisor who adjusted the price, in my favour, and home I went. The moral is, if you think you're getting a bargain, check your receipt!
What Is It?
It is the Binatone System 500, a corded analog telephone with digital answering machine. It comes in a box with pictures portraying the phone. Inside are the handset, base unit, extending coiled cord, AC adapter and telephone lead. All these components are individually wrapped in clear...

Has To Be The Best Phone Binatone Have Made!
Advantages: Looks Cool - It is like having the use of 2 phones - Base Speakerphone
Disadvantages: No Speakerphone on the Handset itself
...Recently, my cordless telephone broke down, leaving me know option but to replace it. However, I was not going to run out and buy the first phone I saw, Oh No! so I decided to use my standin phone for a short time, until I found the phone that most appealed to me; which I must add didn't take very long. I went into Argos to to buy something, when I came accross one of their offer flyers. I took the flyer home, and had a good look through it, and that was when I came accross the Binatone Vantage 4210 telephone. It looked fantastic, and I just hoped that the quality of the phone would be a good as its looks. Anyway I decided to purchase it at a very reasonable price of £34.95.
I took home the phone and on looking at the workmanship of the phone, it looked great. It has a comfortable feel in the hand, and looks really modern too...
