The use of Bio Oil on Keloid Scar Tissue

.... Indeed the product claims to improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin, aging skin and dehydrated skin through the active ingredient PurCellin. I decided to see if Bio Oul would work for me and went to Boots to purchase a small 60ml bottle of the pinky, orange coloured oil which cost me £9. I used the oil as required three times daily (twice daily at a minimum) and have continued this for around the last 2 months. Bio Oil non oily and is absorbed into the skin very quickly so it doesn?t ruin clothes or get everywhere. It can also be used in the bath to improve overall skin tone and appearance. Either way only a few drops is required and therefore it?ll last absolutely ages. I?ve personally used hardly used any of my 60ml bottle these last two months. Sadly though I?m sorry to say that Bio Oil has done nothing...

...I have been using Bio Oil twice a day for the last six months and I am amazed at the results. Bio Oil

Advantages: Gives the skin a smooth even appearance.
Disadvantages: None really, perhaps a bit too greasy if you put too much on.

...I decided to try Bio-Oil after spending lots of money on other products to try and eradicate the blemishes and uneven skin tone on my face. After a week of using Bio-Oil I could see a difference in my skin ton, brightness, and also the smoothness of my skin. It also helped to smooth out wrinkles under my eyes, an area which I have tried many products on and none of them have made a difference. It also helped smooth the appearance of visible pores around my nose are. As long as you don't use too much it is not greasy ans sinks in straight away. I now use it everyday and would not buy anything else. I have also found that although it seems quite a small bottle, it has lasted me weeks as you do not need to use very much at all....

Bio Oil - A good all round product

Advantages: Specialist product, easily avaliable at chemists or supermarkets, natural
Disadvantages: Expensive (but will last a long time)

...Anyone who has ever suffered some kind of skin defect like scarring or stretch marks will often understand how bad scars left over from any life experiences that cause scars like pregnancy and acne can leave someone feeling. Personally, when I was younger I did suffer from moderate acne and I have a couple of scars left over from spots I tried to pick. One thing I do like about Bio Oil is that it is natural, as I have found natural products to be much better than using the 'specialist' products like Clearasil that claim to fight spots and redness and so on, but in truth really I found that they only made my face worse. Ever since I started using natural remedies, I found that they worked much better and now I have very few breakouts, it's just the scars left I have to remove... Bio-Oil One Oil For It All

Advantages: It actually works
Disadvantages: None i can think of

...I unfortunately have a few stretch marks due to weight loss and they get quite itchy and annoying. I have tried numerous creams, lotions and potions and none of them ever did anything to help the situation. Then one day I asked a Pharmacist in Boots what she would recommend and she brought Bio-oil to my attention, and I thank her for this. I was a bit dubious at first as it costs around £10 for a 60ml bottle of the stuff, but it was money well spent. You can get it online however for a great price of £5.99 for 60ml at www.multipharmacy.com they also do two 150ml bottles for £20. I apply it every night before going to bed, and although it does not get rid of my stretch marks it does make them fainter and harder to see, they fade away a good bit and don't itch at all anymore. I also have a scar on my tummy from an operation...
