Clean up with Bissell

Advantages: Very light and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Not heavy duty, pointless on hard floors.

...I got the Bissell Quick Wash after spotting it in Tesco for a measly 70 quid. We have been planning to clean our carpets for some time. Bringing up 3 youngsters I shudder to think what lurks under my Shag Pile. So an impulse buy really, the idea being that hiring a cleaner wouldn't be very satisfying if that tummy bug comes back or my youngest fails his potty training test. I was quite impressed by how well it locked together with the minimum of assembly required. A Phillips screwdriver and three screws and you are there. The unit comes with a goodly supply of cleaning fluid, four bottles of carpet shampoo and two bottles of hard floor cleaner. Bissell Proheat Takes the strain and the stain!

Advantages: Works very well on your floors

It was a show home and we were assured that it had been cleaned to a "high standard" by the cleaner who had worked for the developers for nearly 20 years. Carpets are cleaner and fresher with a Bissell

...-line, from various outlets, also on major auction sites, look out for buy now prices, some are offering a much cheaper deal than others. I have had Bissell products in the past, and if this machines continues to do as well as its started, I can see no reason as to why I wont have from them in the future. As a house proud women I highly recommend this product, especially for Family households, with kids and pets etc. P.s I paid £218 for mine....

Bex Bissell carpet washer

Advantages: Really deep cleans and deodorises carpet
Disadvantages: Machine is heavy if you have to lift it

...I have had my Bex Bissell carpet washer for six months and it is very difficult to describe how good it really is. I have two big dogs ( dobermans), hence eight muddy feet, plus my husband ( I often think he must have eight muddy feet as well, the mess he makes and although I have stone floors in the utility areas to 'save' my carpets, they do get really soiled on occasion. Hiring a carpet cleaner I have done this several times and the machines have been fine, but they do not dry the carpets enough, and they are quite expensive. (£45 a day, plus the costs of the shampoo and defoamer). The Bex Bissell This is an upright machine and it looks like a slightly bigger than average upright vacuum cleaner. Bissell say WE MEAN CLEAN and I agree with them.

Advantages: Clean carpets and furnishing
Disadvantages: Heavy and cannot be used on hardwood floors.

One very pleasant thing was the aroma, the cleaning solution left a really lovely smell, this was called Lemon and Grapefruit Fragrance. The combination sounded a bit strange but I can happily report that the combination worked. Since then I have gone right round the house and everywhere has come up so well. I did find the stairs hard, and the overall weight of the machine does make moving it from room to room not the easiest thing to do. I have also stuck to only using the Bissell fibre cleansing formula, they do say to only use this in their instructions, I have stuck by it purely because I like the lovely smell and the overall performance. This can also be used to clean Linoleum, vinyl and tile floors, as I have none of these in my home, I cannot tell you how good...

Review of Bissell Carpet Cleaner

Bissell vac sucks in a GOOD way! :)

Advantages: many accessories, lift-off canister
Disadvantages: heavy if wheeling isnt possible.

...recommend this vac to anyone (or the Lift-off Revolution Pet Model for those with pets). This does an excellent job of vacuuming and with the lift-off canister and accessories, I dont see why anyone would by anything else. Even with the few negatives I have found, the fact that it works so great and Bissell considered my issues when they made other models, earns it 5 stars from me....
