Clean up with Bissell

Advantages: Very light and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Not heavy duty, pointless on hard floors.

...I got the Bissell Quick Wash after spotting it in Tesco for a measly 70 quid. We have been planning to clean our carpets for some time. Bringing up 3 youngsters I shudder to think what lurks under my Shag Pile. So an impulse buy really, the idea being that hiring a cleaner wouldn't be very satisfying if that tummy bug comes back or my youngest fails his potty training test. I was quite impressed by how well it locked together with the minimum of assembly required. A Phillips screwdriver and three screws and you are there. The unit comes with a goodly supply of cleaning fluid, four bottles of carpet shampoo and two bottles of hard floor cleaner. The Bissell 'Powerforce' (It sucks well)

Bissell Proheat Takes the strain and the stain!

Bex Bissell carpet washer

Advantages: Really deep cleans and deodorises carpet
Disadvantages: Machine is heavy if you have to lift it

...I have had my Bex Bissell carpet washer for six months and it is very difficult to describe how good it really is. I have two big dogs ( dobermans), hence eight muddy feet, plus my husband ( I often think he must have eight muddy feet as well, the mess he makes and although I have stone floors in the utility areas to 'save' my carpets, they do get really soiled on occasion. Hiring a carpet cleaner I have done this several times and the machines have been fine, but they do not dry the carpets enough, and they are quite expensive. ...-line, from various outlets, also on major auction sites, look out for buy now prices, some are offering a much cheaper deal than others. I have had Bissell products in the past, and if this machines continues to do as well as its started, I can see no reason as to why I wont have from them in the future. As a house proud women I highly recommend this product, especially for Family households, with kids and pets etc. P.s I paid £218 for mine....

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Advantages: A fab product which leaves hair looking great
Disadvantages: None at all

...I was having a really bad hair day a couple of weeks ago, though it was my own fault as the night before I hadn't washed my hair out of laziness! I have the type of hair which does need washing on a daily basis or else it looks greasy, dull and lifeless the day after. My hair was that bad due to it not being washed that it made me feel really awful and self conscious. A work colleague recommended that I try Batiste Dry Shampoo for such occassions. I took her advice and purchased a bottle from Tescos on my next shopping trip. I paid £1.99 for a 150ml cannister, which I thought was quite good value for money. The cannister itself is a bright yellow colour with a jade green plastic lid. The cannister is re-cycleable and is found amongst the normal shampoos on the shelves. Advantages: Does what it says. My carpets dried in much less time than stated.

...I ordered this product online and it arrived two days later. The item is very easy to assemble and comes with full instructions. If I could do it then anyone can! Included in my pack were two bottles of carpet cleaner and four bottles of hard floor cleaner. This was a very unexpected bonus and very thoughtful of the send. After assembly I couldn't wait to shampoo my living room and hall carpets. The results were amazing. I could not believe how dirty my carpets actually were and it is so easy to use. The carpets smelled so fresh afterwards. The instructions were very easy to understand and straighforward and I will certainly be cleaning my carpets as recommended by the supplier. I would certainly recommend this product. I think it is great value and does exactly what it says....

Dove - The Shampoo of Champions!

Advantages: great value for money, smells lovely, makes hair really shiny and easy to manage
Disadvantages: bottle could be bigger.

Review of Dove Shampoo

Bissell say WE MEAN CLEAN and I agree with them.

Advantages: Clean carpets and furnishing
Disadvantages: Heavy and cannot be used on hardwood floors.

One very pleasant thing was the aroma, the cleaning solution left a really lovely smell, this was called Lemon and Grapefruit Fragrance. The combination sounded a bit strange but I can happily report that the combination worked. Since then I have gone right round the house and everywhere has come up so well. I did find the stairs hard, and the overall weight of the machine does make moving it from room to room not the easiest thing to do. I have also stuck to only using the Bissell fibre cleansing formula, they do say to only use this in their instructions, I have stuck by it purely because I like the lovely smell and the overall performance. This can also be used to clean Linoleum, vinyl and tile floors, as I have none of these in my home, I cannot tell you how good...
