Bex Bissell carpet washer

Advantages: Really deep cleans and deodorises carpet
Disadvantages: Machine is heavy if you have to lift it

...I have had my Bex Bissell carpet washer for six months and it is very difficult to describe how good it really is. I have two big dogs ( dobermans), hence eight muddy feet, plus my husband ( I often think he must have eight muddy feet as well, the mess he makes and although I have stone floors in the utility areas to 'save' my carpets, they do get really soiled on occasion. Hiring a carpet cleaner I have done this several times and the machines have been fine, but they do not dry the carpets enough, and they are quite expensive. (£45 a day, plus the costs of the shampoo and defoamer). The Bex Bissell This is an upright machine and it looks like a slightly bigger than average upright vacuum cleaner. Clean up with Bissell

Advantages: Very light and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Not heavy duty, pointless on hard floors.

Bringing up 3 youngsters I shudder to think what lurks under my Shag Pile. The Bissell 'Powerforce' (It sucks well)

Advantages: Great suction, Reliable, easy to use
Disadvantages: Not much fun carrying up stairs, Noisy

...for asthma and allergy sufferers. The HEPA filter apparently traps the fine particles (such as pollen and dust mite poo) which trigger allergy and asthma symptoms. It's reckoned that they remove 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.3 micrometers in diameter (dust mites are 04 micrometers, apparently!). I'm quite prone to dust borne allergies so I'm all for the HEPA. The original HEPA filter was designed in 1940's and was used to prevent radioactive contaminants. (I suppose if you were threatened by radiation fall out- you could always get the hoover out, ha ha!) CHARCOAL Filter : (Activated charcoal filter) This filter removes odours, that simple ! As mentioned above it returns clean air to the room. You can wash the filters but, if you do need to replace any of the filters you can buy them on line through Bissell or you can buy them...

Carpets are cleaner and fresher with a Bissell

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: no problems as yet

...-line, from various outlets, also on major auction sites, look out for buy now prices, some are offering a much cheaper deal than others. I have had Bissell products in the past, and if this machines continues to do as well as its started, I can see no reason as to why I wont have from them in the future. As a house proud women I highly recommend this product, especially for Family households, with kids and pets etc. P.s I paid £218 for mine....

Bissell say WE MEAN CLEAN and I agree with them.

Advantages: Clean carpets and furnishing
Disadvantages: Heavy and cannot be used on hardwood floors.

...it is for these, but the instructions do say do not us on hardwood floors. I am very happy with the performance of my Bissell PowerWash ProHeat and can thoroughly recommend this to other people wanting to clean up their carpets and fabric upholstery....
