Bjorn to be Carried

Advantages: Easy to use.
Disadvantages: Is quite tiring to use when baby is bigger.

...I used a baby carrier with both of my children, when my son was born we was given a baby carrier but found it uncomfortable and not very easy to use and I felt it didn't give enough support. I preferred to ?carry? my son to have him close to me, so I decided to look for a more suitable carrier to use. Whilst out shopping in Boots we looked at the different carriers and we noticed the Baby Bjorn front carrier which looked the best from the choice that was on offer, and it was reasonably priced at just under £50. It is suitable for use for babies weighing from 8lbs - 25lbs. Advantages: see every thing from the characters view
Disadvantages: gets boring after a while, also on three disks and its a vey short game.

Baby Bjorn Activ Carrier

Advantages: good weight distribution
Disadvantages: don't break it!

...My first daughter was born 10 years ago and it being November and not having enough money to buy a pushchair straight away we bought a second hand carrier to take her around in and when it was cold tucked her in our coats. 10 ½ years on we have a second daughter so being enamoured of carriers and totally out of touch I did a bit of research. It seemed that Baby Bjorn were ?the? ones to go for especially if you had a bit more cash to hand. At 6 months pregnant I wondered off to our local baby equipment shop to look at carriers and lo and behold they had a feature on the Activ that was not out yet but would be widely available by the time I had given birth. I was still a bit dubious at £70 a lot of money for what it is but I figured it would get lots and lots of use as you can carrier up to 13 Kilos and it had lots of back support...

Baby Bjorn - great for first few months

Advantages: easy to use, adjustable
Disadvantages: not good for heavy baby

...I bought my Baby Bjorn before my baby was born as it seemed to be the carrier everyone was using and so I guessed it must be the best. It IS good - but there are downsides that you should consider before buying. This is a basic pouch type front carrier with excellent safety clips and machine washable. For a newborn baby a carrier is a very easy way of transprting the baby. My newborn loved this carrier and used to fall asleep as soon as I started walking (very handy when you want to actually eat your dinner when still hot!) The only issue I had with this is that because the baby is so small when their head rests on you it does look uncomfortable and I actually had people on buses tell me that it was not a safe position for a newborn baby! (it IS perfectly safe but just looks a little funny) The alternative for this would be a sling...

Bjorn spends a lot of the year based in Dubai where he is the touring professional at the Dubai Creek Golf Club. BEST carrier for toddler (beats bjorns, sarongs!)

Advantages: No back/arm strain, easy to hoist kid on/off, easy wash and wear.
Disadvantages: Not fashionable... but who cares?!

...bag when not in use. I even wear it around me permanently on some trips out, not high-fashion, but as any mother knows, who cares when you can save your already exhausted muscles and spine some more abuse?! I have received envious stares from mothers, fathers and grandparents lugging their toddlers around with crooked spines and no free hands. Also more than five inquiries as to where I got this magic product. I would rec it for anybody who has a baby who can sit upright unassisted and who likes to get down and walk/crawl... other baby carriers just don't cut it for ease of use at this stage when you just need to hoist them on and off you swiftly. My baby hates the fuss we go through for his bjorn and sarong-type thing and has outgrown being tightly swaddled to my chest, but this hipseat just like on-off magic! I wear it around the home...
