Big, black and oh so beautiful

Advantages: Beauty and fantastic tone in one package
Disadvantages: I wish it said Gibson on the headstock

I've only been playing a few years but in that time I've had a lot of guitars in my hands and this is one of the few that I've been unable to let go of. Unmistakably a Les Paul Custom in shape (and weight), this lies at the top end of the models that Epiphone can produce, both in looks and tone. I totally fell for this guitar, with it's beautiful deep black laquer, cream edging and three gold covered pickups before I'd even laid a finger on it. Advantages: nice story
Disadvantages: a bit above the average child

...Even though it's obviously suitable for family viewing, the latest adaptation of Anna Sewell's Black Beauty could be a film in search of an audience. Adults may avoid this movie because it's G-rated, based on a children's book, and has actors speaking with British accents. Children, on the other hand, may stay away because there are no musical numbers with singing animals, no McDonald's Happy Meals. It's too bad, really, because Black Beauty is the best live-action family viewing to come along since 1993's The Secret Garden (also penned by screenwriter Caroline Thompson). In addition to John Sayles' as-yet-unreleased The Secret of Roan Inish, both of these films represent a rarity in pictures oriented towards the younger crowd: intelligent stories that can captivate parents. Black is beautiful

This phone is essentially the same phone. In fact, I cannot find any functions (other than a separate "vibrate and ring" and "vibrate THEN ring" profile) which were not on the V600. The reason I bought this is that I text, I call and I enjoy photo messaging occasionally. Other functions are useless to me. So I wanted a nice slim phone, based on a phone I already knew the menu system etc. of with a nice little camera. The V600 (my old phone) had many little problems with it. MY LITTLE BEAUTY

Advantages: Instantaneous results, youthful, radiant, vibrant skin

...Until very recently I'd never tried a single Clarin's product and until even more recently I didn't believe that beauty products really could work miracles. So what has caused the cynic in me to disappear? My in laws gave me a birthday present that is a pretty little pink box containing a number of Clarin's trial size products. ...I was given a tube of this 'wonder cream' as a Christmas present from my in-laws just last Christmas. It sat inside my dressing table drawer until about three weeks ago, still in its original box/packaging etc, unused. I don't know why it's taken me so long to open the box and read the 'instructions leaflet' and actually use the stuff - maybe I was having a 'premonition' about it?? I have to say, Clairins Beauty Flash Balm, or, as it states in the French (also on the packaging/tube) "Baume Beaute Eclair" has been probably THE most disappointing beauty product I have used, EVER!! I've used a lot during my years, but this stuff does not live up to the hype, so don't waste your money. ...Black Beauty is, quite simply, my favourite piece of literature. It's magical how captivating a story with the simple moral message of 'be kind to animals and other humans' can be. First off, a little bit of the history and background to Black Beauty that I promised in the film review. Black Beauty was first published in 1877, and was Sewells first and only book. Anna Sewell was an incredibly passionate animal lover and therefore you could possibly call her book propaganda - as it changed how the Victorian public viewed their treatment towards animals greatly. Copies of it were handed out to cabbies on cabstands for them to read whilst they were waiting for a fare. ...A friend of mine had been ranting on about how she wanted to try this product. I had seen it on a daytime TV programme as a 'wonder-cure' to make you look like you've had 8 hours sleep. On a shopping trip, there was an offer where you buy 2 Clarin's products and get some other trial-sized goods for free (many many department stores so this). So we bought one each and split the freebies. I had hoped that it would be wonderful and transform my face? however it did not go that far. It did give me a healthy glow when I wore it under my make-up and my make-up did last longer. So it lives up to that claim. The instructions say to use a thin layer under make up 2 - 3 times a weeks and you can also wear it as a beauty mask for 10 - 15mins once a week.
