Blackberry Curve 8310

Advantages: Great phone
Disadvantages: None

...So bear with me as this is my first stab at writing a technology review but I received a new Blackberry for work a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so I though I would write a review on it. The model in question is the Blackberry Curve 8310 Smartphone. I got mine free but with price plans available with the different service providers it can be anywhere up to £200 I believe. The first thing I noticed about the phone (which is what made me choose it and as you can probably tell that I'm not very technologically minded!) is that it looks good. The phone has a lovely metallic finish, almost like a gunmetal grey colour to it although it does come in a pink version too (I wasn't allowed this for work unfortunately!) It has really nice rounded edges too and in my opinion is quite sleek. It's very light weight too, just like...

Blackberry Curve 8900, unbeatable, does everything!!

Advantages: Range of features, battery life, ease of use, constantly evolving applications
Disadvantages: None

...During the last ten years I've owned Nokia, Motorola and HTC handsets. However, when I got my hands on a brand new Blackberry Curve 8900 everything became so incredibly easy. When I assessed the merits of the Blackberrys I narrowed my choice down to the Curve but had to choose between the keypad or touchscreen versions. I'm glad to say that I made the right choice with the keypad version as pictured here. This box of tricks does everything I need. The Blackberry Curve 8900 has its own very specific way of operating which is very different to others manufacturers. Being a typical bloke I didn't read the instructions and leaped straight in. I'm also a bit of a technophobe and expected to struggle a little. However, in my opinion and experience the Curve 8900 is easier to operate and navigate than any other mobile handset. I was up...

Blackberry curve 8320

Advantages: good qwerty board and cursor
Disadvantages: rubbish camera, doesnt have wifi

...i recently got the blackberry curve 8320 as a replacement phone from cex, i am quite pleased with it, the cursor is really nice to move around the phone with, and the qwerty keyboard is really good and easy to use, i can send texts with it very fastly. this phone would be great if you have unlimited internet in your contract because it has a facebook app already on the phone and loads of applications ready to download. i say if you have unlimited internet because it doesnt have wifi, which is why i am going to sell this phone and maybe get another blackberry that does have wifi. what i did notice with mine is after a while it looks very tatty from scratches not because i mis-treat it because the phone picks them up quite well and because of the colour. the camera is pretty rubbish at 2mp and there is no video recorder. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT...

Blackberry Curve 8900 - is it worth it?

Advantages: read review
Disadvantages: read review

...First of all, let me say I have never owned a blackberry or a smartphone before (although I do like to play on my brother's nokia e71) so I cannot compare it to other blackberries and smartphones, but as a new user only. key features: * Camera (3.2 MP) * Wi-Fi® Support * Built-in GPS * Enhanced Media Player * Video Recording * BlackBerry® Maps * Wireless Email * Organizer * Browser * Phone * Corporate Data Access * SMS/MMS so why I chose blackberry? I had been contimplating buying one for a while but neither the bold nor storm appealled due to the size and the fact it looked too complicated to use. However as more and more of my friends got the blackberry (and the fact I have too many friends abroad) it seemed like a really quick and cheap way of keeping in touch with everyone...

Review - The New BlackBerry Curve 8900

Advantages: Good looking, great battery life, great email function, good QWERTY keyboard
Disadvantages: Lacks 3G, not a great camera

... The New BlackBerry Curve 8900 Blackberry have released several new email friendly handsets in the last few months, including the hugely popular BlackBerry Storm and BlackBerry Bold, RIM have now introduced the latest edition to the BlackBerry family, the Curve 8900. Design I'm not usualy a huge fan of how BlackBerry handsets look, they just seem to lack a little imagination where design is concerned, but there is something quite appealing about the look of the new 8900 which shares some design characteristics of both the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and its predecessor the BlackBerry Curve 8310... It is neither too big nor too small, and unlike past BlackBerry models it is not particularly heavy, its professional looking design will appeal to all, from businessmen to students and teenagers. If you are familiar with any...

Blackberry Curve - changed my life. (or at least made me lazier)

Advantages: Feature packed, easy to use, nice big screen, good for everything.
Disadvantages: Makes you lazy, short battery life.

...Im a bit behind the times, what with the Blackberry storm, the Iphone 3g and all the other new phones out at the moment, but i recently got my hands on a Blackberry Curve, for free via vodafone. I have a to say, i love it. I was worried it might be a bit poncy or "business man"-like, but it isn't really. I mean, it could be, but that's not the way i use it. I use it for the simple things in life, listening to music, making phone calls, sending texts, taking pictures, all the stuff i used to do with my old phone (before it broke :(). The blackberry is a blessing and a curse in disguise as a sexy little black thing. I chose it because im a massive geek and i love having a QWERTY keyboard. I'm too old and boring to be quick enough to use a normal phone keypad to type text messages. Perhaps grumpy would be a better term. Anyway, i knew i...

Blackberry Curve 8310 - My First Smart Phone

Advantages: emails alerts, send and receive email, chat via Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, Blackberry Messenger
Disadvantages: difficult menu for first smart phone user

...I got this Blackberry 8310 as a present a couple months ago. At first, I?m not interested in using such a complicated phone and I feel difficult to adjust from regular cell phone to this smart phone. But after reading the manuals and learning by doing, I find this blackberry 8310 is very helpful and interesting. Besides the usual features/ menus that we can find in ordinary cell phone, there are many useful features include in this Blackberry Phone; I really love to know that for checking emails I don?t have to go to internet café whenever I don?t have access to my office or home computer. I can check or send email whenever and wherever I want to, also get instant notifications when new emails coming. You can set your work emails as well as or your yahoo, g-mail or whatever emails that you have. Browser also available for surfing...

A lifestyle: Blackberry Curve 8300

Advantages: BBM, Push e-mails, Beautiful interface, Easy customisation, Enhanced video media player, QWERTY keyboard
Disadvantages: GPRS internet connection, as opposed to 3G or Wi-Fi

...Not only is the Blackberry Curve 8300 smartphone from RIM both the smallest and lightest Blacberry smartphone, it is also one of the best designs RIM has produced. Although the phone is only slightly smaller than earlier models, it is far more compact and supposedly 20% lighter, which really makes a difference either in your bag or pocket, enabling it easier to carry it around with you throughout the day. The colour display is truly impressive, and alternative themes come with the phone, and are also available for download from various websites. Similar to the pearl, it is equipped with a trackball rather than a thumbwheel. Compared to the iPod this was far easier than touchscreen, and did not smear the screen! Just looking at it, the Curve really is a beautiful phone. But if you are one who is unaffected by a phone's outward...

I just got a Blackberry Curve - & I'd recommend it to anyone!

Advantages: QWERTY keyboard, e-mail, internet
Disadvantages: size, because it is larger than the mini phones you see around, however it is still very sexy

...I just got this phone on Monday and I have never had a better phone! Pros: 1) It is a smartphone, and therefore has many many applications. On some phones I would deem these as unnecesary but I can actually see myself using some of these. E.g. Maps, Wi-fi, Voice notes to go, Password keeper and of course Blackberry Messenger (I will talk more on this in a moment). It is also very beautiful for a smartphone, it is slim and has an easy to use QWERTY keyboard. 2) Installing the disk onto my computer was very easy, and now I can link information between my computer and phone very simply. My last phone had software provided too, but it was much fiddlier and the menus were not nearly as simple. 3) The ability to check e-mail, receive texts/calls, check facebook/myspace, surf the internet etc all on one piece of technology is great...

BlackBerry Curve 8320: Does everything you need in a phone!

Advantages: Looks good, very reliable, great organiser. One of the best around
Disadvantages: Only available on contract, Camea is not the best.

...As you'd expect a beautifully designed phone by Blackberry. Its smooth curves and metal effect casing gives the Blackberry a super stylish look. Its features include: 2.5 Inch 65k Colour Screen (320 x 240 Pixels) QWERTY Keyboard & Trackball Navigation Wi-Fi Technology HTML Embedded RIM® Wireless Modem Instant Messaging 2 Megapixel Camera Media Player Considering this phone has everything you need its quite lightweight and although looks bigger than the usual mobile phonei think its a decent size and does not look big at all. The casing measures 107mm by 60mm by 15.5mm deep & its total weight is 111 grams. So not too bad at all. The big screen makes viewing easy and the texts are plain to see. Usually with non slide phones you find that keys can be pressed whilst the phone is in your pocket. But the Blackberry Curve 8320...
