...Not only is the Blackberry Curve 8300 smartphone from RIM both the smallest and lightest Blacberry smartphone, it is also one of the best designs RIM has produced. Although the phone is only slightly smaller than earlier models, it is far more compact and supposedly 20% lighter, which really makes a difference either in your bag or pocket, enabling it easier to carry it around with you throughout the day. The colour display is truly impressive, and alternative themes come with the phone, and are also available for download from various websites. Similar to the pearl, it is equipped with a trackball rather than a thumbwheel. Compared to the iPod this was far easier than touchscreen, and did not smear the screen! Blackberry 8300 Curve

Advantages: Slim design, good sound quality
Disadvantages: Hands free kit not the best

...This is the second Blackberry device I own, and compared to the previous one it is more reliable and has some extra features such as Maps, a Camera, and a middle tracker rather than the side scroller. I compared this to the Pearl, and the QWERTY keyboard was much easier to use, and are not too sensitive. Also, there is now a new key which allows you to write in capital letters. The screen is very clear and detailed, and the sound quality, even on loudspeaker, is brilliant. The hands free cable and earphone could do with a bit more work, but overall, the phone is better than its predecessors. My old blackberry had a tendency of crashing every now and again, but I have not had the same problem with this one. Much easier to use than the Pearl, which I did try to use!...

...So bear with me as this is my first stab at writing a technology review but I received a new Blackberry for work a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so I though I would write a review on it. The model in question is the Blackberry Curve 8310 Smartphone. I got mine free but with price plans available with the different service providers it can be anywhere up to £200 I believe. The first thing I noticed about the phone (which is what made me choose it and as you can probably tell that I'm not very technologically minded!) is that it looks good. The phone has a lovely metallic finish, almost like a gunmetal grey colour to it although it does come in a pink version too (I wasn't allowed this for work unfortunately!) Blackberry Curve 8900, unbeatable, does everything!!

Advantages: Range of features, battery life, ease of use, constantly evolving applications

Its a RIM cover which I'm told puts the phone into sleep mode when inserted, to save some battery power. There are many other covers on the market but make sure you get a RIM compatible cover or you'll lose this functionality. ...i recently got the blackberry curve 8320 as a replacement phone from cex, i am quite pleased with it, the cursor is really nice to move around the phone with, and the qwerty keyboard is really good and easy to use, i can send texts with it very fastly. this phone would be great if you have unlimited internet in your contract because it has a facebook app already on the phone and loads of applications ready to download. i say if you have unlimited internet because it doesnt have wifi, which is why i am going to sell this phone and maybe get another blackberry that does have wifi. what i did notice with mine is after a while it looks very tatty from scratches not because i mis-treat it because the phone picks them up quite well and because of the colour. the camera is pretty rubbish at 2mp and there is no video recorder. Blackberry Curve 8900 - A girls best friend!

Advantages: Easy to use, lots of features, quick internet browsing on the go,

...I have recently got the Blackberry Curve 8900 and I love it. It's the best phone I've ever had. I have it on a contract with Orange and it costs me £35 per month for 600 minutes and unlimited texts (which is good as I'm a constant texter!) - I also opted to pay an extra £5 a month for internet access on my phone, which is a must-have with a blackberry to really use all it's features. I love the full QUERTY keypad, it makes texting so quick and easy, it even has a spell check for my texts and they appear more like emails, so there is no need anymore for "text language"! The menu's are really easy to use, and you scroll around the different options using a central rollerball, which acts like a little mouse. It also has a 3.2 megapixel camera, which takes good pictures with a flash, an MP3 player and a handful of classic games...

Blackberry Curve - changed my life. (or at least made me lazier)

Advantages: Feature packed, easy to use, nice big screen, good for everything.
