Blackberry Curve 8310

...So bear with me as this is my first stab at writing a technology review but I received a new Blackberry for work a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so I though I would write a review on it. The model in question is the Blackberry Curve 8310 Smartphone. I got mine free but with price plans available with the different service providers it can be anywhere up to £200 I believe. The first thing I noticed about the phone (which is what made me choose it and as you can probably tell that I'm not very technologically minded!) is that it looks good. The phone has a lovely metallic finish, almost like a gunmetal grey colour to it although it does come in a pink version too (I wasn't allowed this for work unfortunately!) Blackberry Curve 8900, unbeatable, does everything!!

Advantages: Range of features, battery life, ease of use, constantly evolving applications
Disadvantages: None

...and running with calls, email, text, mms, music and photos within an hour once the handset became registered with the network. The Blackberry Curve 8900 also charges incredibly quickly. I get a full battery with a 45 minute charge which then keeps me going for at least three or four days (and I use this a lot!). Even when I've used the built in GPS navigation it seems to go on and on. I have a googlemail account for personal emails and it was a breeze for the Curve to synchronise with my online account. I didn't need to be a techno-wizard to accomplish this; I just needed my email address and password and the Blackberry did the rest for me. Emails now arrive instantly and I can view these anywhere with all of their attachments whether word, excel, pdf, jpeg files, it opens just about anything sent to me. .... The only 3G phone on blackberry to date is their bold. The bold wasn't really an option as it was far too bulky for me and I didnt like the leather back. All in all, it's definetly a good buy the contract are reasonable and once you get the hand of all the features you will absolutely love the phone... I honestly wonder how I lived before the age of smart phoneage lol It is not strictly for business as I have found it just as useful more for communicating with friends and families all over the world, and great for those who move around/travel alot. I like the fat it doesnt have a touch screen (like the iphone) and have not had any experience with it crashing ir overheating so far (friends with iphone have had these problems). The battery life is very long and I usually charge every other day - although some features do drain the battery...

Blackberry curve 8320

Advantages: good qwerty board and cursor
Disadvantages: rubbish camera, doesnt have wifi

...i recently got the blackberry curve 8320 as a replacement phone from cex, i am quite pleased with it, the cursor is really nice to move around the phone with, and the qwerty keyboard is really good and easy to use, i can send texts with it very fastly. this phone would be great if you have unlimited internet in your contract because it has a facebook app already on the phone and loads of applications ready to download. i say if you have unlimited internet because it doesnt have wifi, which is why i am going to sell this phone and maybe get another blackberry that does have wifi. what i did notice with mine is after a while it looks very tatty from scratches not because i mis-treat it because the phone picks them up quite well and because of the colour. the camera is pretty rubbish at 2mp and there is no video recorder. Blackberry Curve - changed my life. (or at least made me lazier)

Advantages: Feature packed, easy to use, nice big screen, good for everything.
Disadvantages: Makes you lazy, short battery life.

The Blackberry Curve is an excellent, well-balanced phone

Advantages: One ofthe best Business phone's with great leisure features in one solid, attractive handset
Disadvantages: Lack of 3G may put some people off and WiFi can be temperemental.

...I've recently obtained the Blackberry Curve 8900 after using a Blackberry Pearl for around 2 years. The first thing I noticed about this phone was its very sleek and appealing look, making it the most attractive Blackberry RIM has produced thus far. Its chrome edging, full QWERTY keyboard and 2.44 inch screen amount to one very attractive phone. One feature I particularly liked upon using the phone for the first few minutes was the 'hidden' lock and mute buttons making the basic processes much faster if you keep your phone in a pocket. The QWERTY keypad is a mastered feature from RIM, it's child's play writing word documents or long emails all day long. The High Resolution LCD screen is also very high quality and plays video's with very good quality. The phone takes the more sleek approach seen in the Storm rather than that of curves...

A lifestyle: Blackberry Curve 8300

Advantages: BBM, Push e-mails, Beautiful interface, Easy customisation, Enhanced video media player, QWERTY keyboard

...Not only is the Blackberry Curve 8300 smartphone from RIM both the smallest and lightest Blacberry smartphone, it is also one of the best designs RIM has produced. Although the phone is only slightly smaller than earlier models, it is far more compact and supposedly 20% lighter, which really makes a difference either in your bag or pocket, enabling it easier to carry it around with you throughout the day. The colour display is truly impressive, and alternative themes come with the phone, and are also available for download from various websites. Similar to the pearl, it is equipped with a trackball rather than a thumbwheel. Compared to the iPod this was far easier than touchscreen, and did not smear the screen! Blackberry Curve 8310 - My First Smart Phone

Disadvantages: difficult menu for first smart phone user

...one menu called Media. Actually all menus are represented in cute icons with explanation in located in the bottom of the screen. You just scrolling the roll button in the middle of the body to jump between menus and click it whenever you want to activate it. There are still many menus and features that you can find in this smart phone, just try to explore it by yourself. When you buy Blackberry 831, it?s already including cable data, battery charger, CD program, manual book and headset. Just try using this smart phone and you will love it like I do....

I just got a Blackberry Curve - & I'd recommend it to anyone!

Advantages: QWERTY keyboard, e-mail, internet
Disadvantages: size, because it is larger than the mini phones you see around, however it is still very sexy

...I just got this phone on Monday and I have never had a better phone! Pros: 1) It is a smartphone, and therefore has many many applications. On some phones I would deem these as unnecesary but I can actually see myself using some of these. E.g. Maps, Wi-fi, Voice notes to go, Password keeper and of course Blackberry Messenger (I will talk more on this in a moment). It is also very beautiful for a smartphone, it is slim and has an easy to use QWERTY keyboard. 2) Installing the disk onto my computer was very easy, and now I can link information between my computer and phone very simply. My last phone had software provided too, but it was much fiddlier and the menus were not nearly as simple. 3) The ability to check e-mail, receive texts/calls, check facebook/myspace, surf the internet etc all on one piece of technology is great...
