...i brought this from orange a few months ago on pay & go & have to admit it took a few hours to get used to the keybaord layout but after that it was very easy to get around., out of the box the phone goes through a simple setup with you & you receive messages from orange with the sim updates etc., orange charge 5 pound a month on pay & go for the blackberry internet service which allows internet browsing & email etc. you can also use msn & facebook which is fantastic if you love to keep up with what you're friends are doing, you can either setup a blackberry email address or link your existing email account with the blackberry service either way you choose you'll never miss that important email as they are pushed straight to your phone as soon as they arrive., the phone also has the usual functions such as calender, alarm clock...

I know that Richard Mabey has written a very much talked about book on the subject of what nature can offer us in terms of nourishment. i heart my blackberry

Advantages: it does everything!

...Okay so I admit it im a netaholic. I love the internet and feel totally disconnected without it so I knew that my next phone even though I'm not a business person would be a blackberry. ...So bear with me as this is my first stab at writing a technology review but I received a new Blackberry for work a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so I though I would write a review on it. The model in question is the Blackberry Curve 8310 Smartphone. I got mine free but with price plans available with the different service providers it can be anywhere up to £200 I believe. The first thing I noticed about the phone (which is what made me choose it and as you can probably tell that I'm not very technologically minded!) is that it looks good. The battery had enough power already on it for me to have a little play, and I was surprised and pleased with the brightness of the screen. Advantages: Easy to use, pleasent to look at, good battery life, big memory, good camera, easily customisable.

Orange network in general

Advantages: Great contracts on offer, good reception, good service
Disadvantages: Not consistent waiting times when phoning cust services - can wait a while at peak times

Durkng peak times I have found the longest time I have been on hold for is 20 minutes but generally my calls have been answered withing 3/4 minutes. I have never had a language barrier problem with the customer service rep on the end of the phone and have found that generally my problems or queries have been answered sufficiently. Orange recently did charge something to my contract which I had not received and after one phone call it had been took off my bill and a good-will gesture credit added to my account which I was very pleased with. How did we live without the blackberry??

Advantages: Great e-mail service, easy to use. Does what it says on the tin!
Disadvantages: Size is not for everyone.

...is thin, you must bear in mind this is a smaprtphone and by no means small. Size is somewhat sacrificed for the features of the phone and it?s functionality. Blackberry is becoming more and more popular and there are a lot of applications that you can now add to the handsets such as facebook, msn, twitter etc similarly to the iphone. In summary the phone to my needs is fantastic. It does what I ask of it and is extremely reliable. If you want a reliable handset for e-mail then definitely look at the bold. It will look after you for sure! My handset is on Orange and uses their blackberry service at a cost of £2.50 a month which includes unlimited internet and e-mail functionality. Service wise, it has never let me down....
