Blackberry Curve 8310 - My First Smart Phone

Advantages: emails alerts, send and receive email, chat via Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, Blackberry Messenger
Disadvantages: difficult menu for first smart phone user

...I got this Blackberry 8310 as a present a couple months ago. At first, I?m not interested in using such a complicated phone and I feel difficult to adjust from regular cell phone to this smart phone. But after reading the manuals and learning by doing, I find this blackberry 8310 is very helpful and interesting. Besides the usual features/ menus that we can find in ordinary cell phone, there are many useful features include in this Blackberry Phone; I really love to know that for checking emails I don?t have to go to internet café whenever I don?t have access to my office or home computer. I can check or send email whenever and wherever I want to, also get instant notifications when new emails coming. The worst phone ever (BlackBerry Storm 9500)

Advantages: The camera takes nice clear and bright pictures if you can get the button to work

...Here is my opinion: I have had the Blackberry Storm Since January 2009. I was really excited to get the phone but was disappointed quickly. I dropped the phone about 2 inches from the floor and the phone turned off and never turned back on. After I had the phone replaced it seemed to keep freezing on me so I called the phone company and after a while of trying to fix it I just gave up. It is very hard to hear the other person on the phone so I have to have the phone on speaker for every call. I bought a couple of head sets and that helped but the quality of the head set for this phone is very poor and I can not afford to buy a head set every two months. ...One the first things that you would probably notice about the blackberry storm is that its got a good size large wide screen. ...I love this blackberry - it is smaller then the "standard" 8310" and it saves space by doubling up on the keys. As your keys have dual letters on them it uses a typing technology called SURETYPE. This is not predictive text it uses software to understand what you are typing and you need to give it about 30 minutes typing, for the blackberry to get used to you. You correct the word once and it will remember that spelling forever. Sat Nav very useful for driving or walking and saves spending extra money on a standalone sat nav system. Emails are fantastic - wherever you are it will pick your emails up and you can add your business emails and hotmail style emails as well. very simple to add. ...So bear with me as this is my first stab at writing a technology review but I received a new Blackberry for work a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so I though I would write a review on it. The model in question is the Blackberry Curve 8310 Smartphone. I got mine free but with price plans available with the different service providers it can be anywhere up to £200 I believe. The first thing I noticed about the phone (which is what made me choose it and as you can probably tell that I'm not very technologically minded!) is that it looks good. Blackberry Pearl - A truly cracking phone!

Advantages: Being able to check your emails whenever you want
Disadvantages: The quality of the camera isnt all that good
