Neutrogena Visibly Clear Blackhead Scrub

Advantages: Refreshing, nice smell, does get rid of smaller blackheads, lasts a long time
Disadvantages: Does not work on larger blackheads, hard to rinse off

...I saw an advert for this scrub awhile back and purchased it because i had some pesky blackheads around my cheeks and forehead. I already used and still use the Visibly Clear facial moisturiser from the same range which is fantastic, as i have dry, sensitive skin, so decided to give this a try as well. The scrub is around £4-£5, (i think) and can be purchased from most health and beauty shops such as Boots and Supedrug. The packaging is orange, which stands upright on a flip cap - useful for getting the most out of the product when it starts to run out. Used daily (i try to scrub once every evening) on areas prone to blackheads, it is supposed to get rid of them and prevent their return. Keep Those Evil Blackheads at Bay!

...Someone up there is laughing at me. They sent me all the way through adolescence with wonderful skin and I took it for granted. I didn't really cleanse properly. I just used whatever cleansing lotion as lying around. I got the odd spot but it was gone in a few days. Then I moved to London from my lovely countryside home and my skin went mental. The problem with the air round here is that it doesn't matter how often you cleanse your face, you can still wipe off a fresh layer of dirt a few hours later. Can Clean & Clear really live up to its claims?

Advantages: small number of ingredients, soothes the skin, cleans the skin
Disadvantages: doesn't seem to live up to its claim of eliminating blackheads completely

...Tempted, rather than convinced by its claims to reduce the appearance of blackheads from day one, I bought a 200ml bottle of Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser for just over £3. On comparision with other products too, I noticed that it had less ingredients in it than the others, and on the basis that it was a product that appeared more natural (having less chemicals in it) I plumped for this one. I've been using it for 3 months, and I still have just less than half a bottle (around 85ml) left. ...I was in Superdrug a little while ago and I saw these 'Blackhead Eliminating Daily Cleansing Cushions' and I thought they looked great! I have some blackheads on my nose and chin so I bought these and off I went home eager to try them out. The packaging is quite attractive. The product comes in a cardboard box which has a lid that lifts up and reveals the face pads inside in a clear plastic bag. The box has 'Visibly Clear' written on the top of it with information about the product written along the sides. Application: use cotton pads, rather than cotton balls. Apply approximatley 4/5 drops onto the cotton pad, and begin with the "T-zone". When you see the cotton pad has dirt on, throw it away and continue cleansing with a new pad. When youhave cleansed the "T-zone", you can cleanse the rest of your face, under your chin and around the jaw line. After this, I like to deep cleanse problem areas, such as the nose or chin.
