You like his eccentricities, the dreams, the visions that he never gives up and you find yourself wishing more people were like that. It is very exciting to watch and you cannot help wondering if Ripley's vision will ever turn into a reality. If you are a fan of the delicious and extraordinary talented (David Tennant) then you will love watching his character Detective Inspector Peter Carlisle. The DVD also includes a special treat of the 2006 one off "Viva Blackpool" As Ripley finds himself under suspicion of murder his public and private life are suddenly under scrutiny. Background When Mrs B and I decided that we would take Baby B on her first seaside holiday we knew that Blackpool was tacky so knew that it wasn't exactly sparkling and the place it used to be but we thought we would go along anyway and try and have a little family break with our 3 month old baby. Given the fact that this review can be read by anyone I will not be using any inappropriate language or reference to his stand up shows. The main man himself Chubby - Born "Royston Vasey" on February the 3rd 1945 at Grangetown in Middlesbrough, He left home at the age of 14 years of age, living rough and having many part time jobs, time where difficult for him. Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Advantages: Great rides, cheaper than some other parks

...I visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach last year and I thought it was great value for money. The weather in Blackpool wasnt always great during my 4 day stay but this park didnt disappoint where ride were concerned or eating out. The general atmosphere of this park is happy and fun which is great for the family however the atmosphere here is nothing compared to theme parks like Disneyland or Universal Studios, but you get what you pay for with this park in the sense of good rides and entertainment. To pay in to the park you need to buy wristbands, I think that if you want to get the best out of the park the Ultimate Daily Wristband is the best deal, however if you dont really want to do many rides or are not fit to for various physical reasons the Pleasure Beach Pass will probably be enough for you and then when in the park you can...

...I am a great fan of Blackpool pleasure beach, I have been going to the park ever since I was a child and I still continue to go now, It is never the same as it was the time before this are all ways getting added or updated, so it?s a new experience each time you go. The one thing that I can remember about Blackpool Pleasure beach when I was a child was the laughing clown at the parks entrance, this used to scare the hell out of me, so whenever I return I always smile when I still see that same laughing clown sitting there. Choice Hotels in Blackpool run 3 hotels - The Claremont (near the North Pier), the Talk of The North (near South Pier) and the Cliffs Hotel (North Promenade just up from Gynn Square). My family and I have stayed at the Cliffs Hotel on 6 occasions, ranging from weekend breaks to full weeks. Why? The hotel is large and well appointed - it has a 1920's feel about the facade and interior and is very clean and spacios. There are 5 bars and a large resturant. Being a big fan of themeparks, I was honestly hesitant to visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach as I imagined it being a few fairground rides and I genuinely didn't think it'd compare to other places I'd been to. ~ My Blackpool Pleasure ~

...Supposedly Britain's favourite seaside resort my first and so far only visit to Blackpool was last here for my boyfriends birthday, we went for a long weekend, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it...we stayed in a cheap hotel, although it was cheap it was simple and clean, just right for getting your head down... The Pleasure Beach was better than I expected with a wide range of rides, so many we couldn't fit them all in on one day...the pier was so-so and Blackpool in general was in a word FANTASTIC. The Journey From Swindon a supposed 4 hour journey, this however was not the case as we left middle of the afternoon (2pm) and hit all the traffic on the motorway. Ended up taking 6 hours!
