Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Advantages: Great rides, cheaper than some other parks
Disadvantages: Lacks the charm other parks have
...I visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach last year and I thought it was great value for money. The weather in Blackpool wasnt always great during my 4 day stay but this park didnt disappoint where ride were concerned or eating out. The general atmosphere of this park is happy and fun which is great for the family however the atmosphere here is nothing compared to theme parks like Disneyland or Universal Studios, but you get what you pay for with this park in the sense of good rides and entertainment.
To pay in to the park you need to buy wristbands, I think that if you want to get the best out of the park the Ultimate Daily Wristband is the best deal, however if you dont really want to do many rides or are not fit to for various physical reasons the Pleasure Beach Pass will probably be enough for you and then when in the park you can...

Blackpool Pleasure Beach....A Real Pleasure!
Advantages: Fantastic rides, fairly cheap, clean and tidy, a brilliant day out
Disadvantages: Some of the rides a bit uncomfortable, have to pay extra for some things
...Beach carparks located right outside the themepark. The prices fluctuate - I have seen it both £6 and £8 to park your car for the day. However, please park in the car parks - it will keep your car safe and you wouldn't want to risk a hefty fine by parking elsewhere! There are always plenty of spaces available.
DIRECTIONS
Signposts near to Blackpool Pleasure Beach are clear and easy to follow. For the satnav, the postcode is FY4 1EZ. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is roughly an hour away from Manchester, Southport and Liverpool, but can be up to 4 or 5 hours away from places such as London, Cardiff and Aberdeen. Ensure that you set off EARLY to avoid traffic!
RIDES
I will start with the major rides - in other words, the thrill-seekers rides.

Go on spoil yourself at Blackpool
Advantages: Great day out for the whole family.
Disadvantages: lone queues
...I am a great fan of Blackpool pleasure beach, I have been going to the park ever since I was a child and I still continue to go now, It is never the same as it was the time before this are all ways getting added or updated, so it?s a new experience each time you go.
The one thing that I can remember about Blackpool Pleasure beach when I was a child was the laughing clown at the parks entrance, this used to scare the hell out of me, so whenever I return I always smile when I still see that same laughing clown sitting there.
Blackpool is great for a weekend break of the occasional family holiday, it has a number of other attractions, such as arcades, the tower, a casino, a sea life center, the north and south piers, shows, go karting, a zoo and not forgetting the pleasure beach.
The pleasure beach has over one hundred rides, which suit...

Fun, Fun, Fun at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Advantages: All the rides are fantastic....
Disadvantages: Bling? Should be called Blink cos of the eye!
...Last week (21st - 28th August 2004), I have been on holiday at Blackpool. On Tuesday, I went to the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and I can tell you now, it was worth the wait and money to go there!
All the rides were fantastic.
This was my first time in the Pleasure Beach so I had to go on the Pepsi Max Big One.
What did I think to it? It was fantastic!! The first drop was exhilirating, whatever speed it was set at. The first time that I went on it was set to 85mph. I went on it 5 times. The 5th time was at night and this time it was set to 115MPH!! Now that's fast, but it seems much better than the other speeds. I will certainly not forget the first drop on the Big One.
I also went on Valhalla. This ride was the wettest that I have been on. Forget Pirate Adventure in Drayton Manor and the Log Flume at Alton Towers, even...

~ My Blackpool Pleasure ~
Advantages: Pleasure Beach, sealife centre, cost
Disadvantages: Pier amusements
...Supposedly Britain's favourite seaside resort my first and so far only visit to Blackpool was last here for my boyfriends birthday, we went for a long weekend, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it...we stayed in a cheap hotel, although it was cheap it was simple and clean, just right for getting your head down...
The Pleasure Beach was better than I expected with a wide range of rides, so many we couldn't fit them all in on one day...the pier was so-so and Blackpool in general was in a word FANTASTIC.
The Journey
From Swindon a supposed 4 hour journey, this however was not the case as we left middle of the afternoon (2pm) and hit all the traffic on the motorway. Ended up taking 6 hours!
The general motorway route is M5 then M6 then M55 junction 4. With my excellent map reading skills it...

Pleasure Beach in a place called Blackpool...
Advantages: Variety of rides, places to eat. Free entrance. Discount prices at certain times. Wheelchair friendly.
Disadvantages: Can be queuing for some time. Some rides feel unsafe.
...Blackpool Pleasure Beach attracts around 6million visitors a year, which placed it joint 11th (with Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida) in the "Attendance 2006" for worldwide theme parks making it the only UK Theme park to make it in the top 25. Entrance to the park is completely free (which is great if you're not a ride person or unable to ride) and you can buy wristbands for unlimited rides either on the day you go, or, on their website www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com if you know what day you are going. Wristbands cost around £27 (Last time I went 2006) for an Adult at the gate but depending on the time of year and the time of day (evenings after 6/7pm) the price becomes a discounted price (The bands are discounted on Website purchase anyway). Child wristbands are around £15 and have the opportunity to go to the very fun Beaver Creek...

Brilliant new addition to the pleasure beach
Advantages: Tummy turning and fast
Disadvantages: shame the classic log flume had to go for it!
...Infusion is the newest ride at the Pleasure beach - I say newest but, it has been there for just over two years now! As anyone will probably know who reads my reviews I do love the Pleasure beach and I remember quite clearly when I found out that the ride being built in the old log flume area was a coaster, I was very excited and followed it?s progress until it opened. This is one of my other favourite rides in the park along with the Big One and Valhalla.
Where in the park is it?
The ride is located in between the Big One and the Big Dipper coaster. The Ride sits on the old site of the log flume. It is very easy to spot as it is a bright blue colour. It is in a central position of the whole park and so whichever entrance you enter the park through you will have to walk to the middle of the park to get to it.
What...

Ride a Woodie on the Beach.
Advantages: Rides. What else?
Disadvantages: It's in Blackpool.
...Yes, we've been at it again. As Hampus and Trowiemon's nationwide tour of Britain's best theme parks continues, I'm pleased to give you the low down on Blackpool Pleasure Beach - spiritual home of the rollercoaster, the 'Kiss-Me-Quick' hat and the 'I'm-with-stupid' T-shirt.
For many people the prospect of a weekend in Blackpool is their idea of Hell on Earth. With drunken hooligans on stag weekends spilling out of every pub (with a gaggle of equally drunken slappers on a hen weekend usually spilling out shortly after them), litter, dogshit, amusement arcades and a never ending line up of lousy sea front stalls selling row upon row of worthless tat, it's easy to see why so many loathe the place.
However, if you can withstand the noise, the lights and the downright tackiness of it all, Blackpool can be an absolute scream, especially...

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Awesome
Advantages: AWESOME Rides
Disadvantages: Q's And Cost
...Blackpool Pleasure Beach
=
What Is IT?
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a theme park with some of the UK?s best rides. These rides are all worth going on and the park is a place where you could stay for days as at the present time it has over 125 rides and attractions so there is something for everyone.
History of Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Olden Era
Blackpool pleasure beach was bought and founded in 1896 by Alderman William George Bean. Some of the first rides are still operation like the maxim flying machines. The park mainly started to grow and develop and have future prospects when world war one ended. During this time the amount of rides increased, new rides were introduced, e.g. Rollercoaster. World War Two put a halt on the pleasure beaches progress...

Pleasure my beach
Advantages: Keeps everyone entertained. White nuckles to relaxing.
Disadvantages: Weather (its in the uk!) price if you dont stay all day!
...Blackpool Pleasure Beach a place were I have visited every year for the last 20 years. I love it. It is pretty well placed to get to from the Motorways (M55, M6) and also has a train station accessable from Preston Train Station. The park is real value for money with the introduction of wristband, as long as you make the most of them.
PRICE (rating 4/5)
Normally £29 for the day although this price does tend to fluctuate throughout the year. Also a friend of mine got a cheap
pair off ebay.
£29 each for a family can work out quite expensive but no more than taking the family on a premiership football match that last an hour and a half. If you arrive early and stay all day there is real value for money. You can even talk a stroll up the prom and return later if you wish.
Wristbands allow unlimited riding all day long as many times...
