...Blade was first released in 1998, directed by Stephen Norrington, and starring Wesley Snipes as a half human half vampire, who's mission is to slay all the bad vampires of the world. When I first saw this film I loved it, I was a big fan of the comic books, and watching a big screen adaptation was just well worth the wait. I thought snipes was a brilliant actor to play blade, having seen his early films i.e. passenger 57, and demolition man, this guy is a awesome martial arts expert and can kick ass. If I was to explain Blade to anyone who hasn't seen it, I would describe it as a more violent, intense and action packed Buffy the Vampire Slayer. As sharp as his blade

Advantages: Wesley Snipes, loads of blood and action
Disadvantages: Not for the squeamish

...I love films with Wesley Snipes and when this came out on DVD I just had to have it! Hubby is used to my penchant for vampire films and just did the right thing by keeping quiet and letting me have my way. I'm sure you all know me well enough by now - if it comes in the genre of horror then I will want to watch it! Blade VS Dracula!!!! Hell Yeah!!!!

Advantages: Amazing action, cool characters, brilliant special effects, sublime sound track.
Disadvantages: Storyline very similar to last 2.

...Blade trinity bought an amazing conclusion to a brilliant trilogy and is in my opinion one of the best vampire films ever made. I was on the edge of my seat watching this film and there wasn't a dull moment. The Film Story This is where the blade trilogy fails a little bit, every movie seemed to have the same storyline dressed up in different characters and locations: The vampires are scared of blade so they try to obtain some kind of super-vampire to kill him but he ends up killing it. I.E. # Blood God # Nomak # Dracula It would also have been nice to have an ending where blade doesn't need to be saved by one of the other characters. But as with the other two films, he gets into near fatal trouble at the end. However, having said that, this didn't bother me that much because the action more than makes up...

...Blade is a mutant vampire born immortal from his mother who was turned why she was pregnant and so he was given the strength and power of a vampire but he does not have the blood lust and so he set forth to destroy that which had killed his mum and that which had cursed him. The story starts with two camps of vampire the first who are the elders who are the first vampires long lived and pure the other born from humans enslaved to being vampires and then a legend of a super vampire, and so the new remove the old and set forth in becoming vampire gods, in steps blade who hacks and slashes his way through them all until he faced his nemesis. In short if you like a lot of action and are a fan of vampire shows like Buffy or Angel then this is one film you will enjoy though the ending does not go with the rest of the film...
