Ganiers emergency treatment
Review of Garnier Synergie Pure SOS Anti-Blemish Pen by
redballoon
Advantages: Works wonders
Disadvantages: Can't think of any!
...the Pure range, a treatment pen for spots called "SOS Anti-blemish pen" The name of the pen suggests that it's to be used in emergencies as it fights existing spots. Other products in the range help to prevent them appearing. The aim of the treatment pen is to give targeted help with spots that you already have by drying them out. This will reduce the time that they are visible for and helps you to get your skin looking clear again.
Appearance
-----------------
The SOS Anti-blemish pen comes in a small box with all the logo's on the front and is located in the shop along with all the other Pure products. Inside the ox lies your treatment pen. It looks like a miniature version of their Pure moisturising tube. It's blue in colour with a white screw top lid. It's small so can be secretly contained in your handbag or purse for those spots...

Clinique Anti Blemish Solution - Cleansing Foam.
Review of Clinique Anti Blemish Solution Cleansing Foam by
BananaNoodle
Advantages: Clears spots!
Disadvantages: Can make skin feel tight. Expensive.
...Having tried Clinique's anti-blemish gel with disapointing results I was a bit reluctant to try their 3 step system for blemished skin. But the shop assistant persuaded me to give it a go. I haven't looked back since!
The packaging is a solid affair in Clinique's usual simple style with a big C on the front. The product is dispensed through a pump on the top of the bottle.
I only need 2 or 3 squirts of the foam to cover my face, and I only use it once a day. I think you are supposed to use it twice a day but at this price I can't afford that and once a day does me fine. I can't really feel it working when it's on my face, some washes I've used tingle, this doesn't. But when I've used it my face feels clean and smooth.
Initially I was horrified - my spots got worse! But having spent about £10-15 on a bottle I perservered. I'm so...

A treatment for a clear face
Review of Neutrogena Clear Pore Treatment by
Priyat
Advantages: Your face turns clean and clear
Disadvantages: a bit expensive to buy
...dry. This nighttime
pore clarifying gel penetrates deep to reduce the blackheads and
blemishes. It helps to keep skin clear of new breakouts for a
clearer complexion .
Another thing I like about this product is, it is non-greasy.
It is also oil -free and being a transparent gel, after application
becomes invisible. No one will know that you have applied this gel. After continuous using , you are bound to get a clear , beautiful blemish-free face !
This is a safe product for the whole family to use ..adults,
seniors and children. This product has also been recommended by
dermatologists . I am strongly recommending you to go for this leave on acne treatment to make your facial skin better and brighter !...

Blemish Hell
Review of The Body Shop Sage & Comfrey Blemish Gel by
neilstrawson
Advantages: Absorbs quickly and not tested on animals
Disadvantages: Doesnt work all that well
...The Body Shop sage and comfrey blemish gel is a daily treatment for all skin types thats supposed to help combat and prevent occasional spots.
It comes in a light green 30ml tube with a blue and green leaf design on the front. It contains extracts of sage and comfrey, designed to soothe the skin as well as astringent witch hazel and allantoin. You can buy this from the Body Shop for about £5.
The gel is a very pale green colour and is quite fragrant with an almost fruity/herby smell. However you do get quite a strong alcohol smell off it too which is quite offputting.
It does absorb quite readily into the skin but due to its ingredients can cause mild stining or irritation on sensitive skin.
I must be completely honest and say that I was not too impressed by this product, which is a shame because I usually find Body Shop...

Treatment for teenage skin
Review of Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Pads by
chcouper
Advantages: Cleanses
Disadvantages: Pricey and dehydrates out your skin
...somewhat even if you don't use any special treatment on them. I do think that the product is quite effective on smaller blemishes but completely ineffective on larger spots. I would say they are slightly more effective than other cleansers that I've used but then different cleansers are going to suit some people more than others.
Overall, I would recommend them but don't expect them to work wonders....

The best range of acne treatment I have ever tried
Review of Murad Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel by
tessmalm
Advantages: works quickly, and lasts for a very long time!
Disadvantages: price, can dry your skin out unless you use a moistureser!
....
I use the clarifying cleanser morning and evening, with the exfoliating treatment gel afterwards but evenings only as overusing it tends to dry out your skin too much. It is also very important that you use an oil FREE moisturiser after this step both morning and evening. You could use the Murad one, however I find that any oil free moisturiser will do. Then I apply - as needed - the blemish cover gel directly on spots only as it is 4% sulphur and very strong indeed.
I would however not recommend this series unless you really do have a very oily skin and have real issues with acne, and not just the occasional spot.
It is an expensive range, however it goes on and on like the duracel bunny! You can barely tell that I have been using this for 2 weeks now by looking at the bottles! At this rate this will easily last me two - three...

Clear skin...for a while
Review of Murad Exfoliating Blemish Treatment Gel by
Angelil
Advantages: Visible improvement in skin, nice to use
Disadvantages: Expensive, improvement soon plateaued
..."Exfoliate, purify and clarify your complexion with this advanced performance gel" - a slightly confusing description, I feel, as this product is a chemical exfoliator, rather than being the traditional exfoliator with bits of beach in it. It's also expensive at £39.50 for 100ml - so was it worth it?
Certainly I managed to save some cash by buying it as part of the travel/starter kit at Boots, meaning I only spent £25 to try this particular 3-step skin regime. The exfoliating blemish gel comes in a small clear bottle, with a translucent white/clear flip top lid, but you just stand it on its base like a normal bottle. The packaging is understated, unisex, and professional-looking. It also appeals to all ages, which is nice, as problem skin doesn't just affect young teens.
After cleansing, just carefully smear this stuff all over...

Anti Blemish yes - Anti Bank Balance too!
Review of Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clear Blemish Gel by
s_jones_2003
Advantages: Works, Removes Blemishes & Diminishes Larger Ones
Disadvantages: Costly, Does Dry Out Skin
..., conditioners) and specialised skin products (spot blemish gel, anti-ageing cream).
THE PRODUCT
The product is in a small green tinted bottle with the customary Clinique pale green lid - as I always say - simple but effective. The bottle is made of plastic - ideal for squeezing out the contents and to ensure no breakages! The screw top is perhaps not the most practical, a flip top would have provided easier access but I don't want to seem to fussy!
The product is a fairly runny gel, not as thin as water or moisturiser, but thin enough to spread. The smell is quite chemical like, not particularly pleasant or appealing, but there again you'd hardly expect it to smell of roses! In a way it smells almost like glue!
Usage instructions recommend "cleanse skin, apply thin layer to blemish, use one application dairly, if needed and no dryness occurs...

No7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick Works
Review of Boots No.7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick by
goldenc4
Advantages: Coverage, consistency, price and colour
Disadvantages: It runs down quickly
...No7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick
***********************************
Why I Chose This Item:
If you’ve been over-working, over-indulging or just unfortunate, then you may be the victim of dark circles underneath your eyes. For the past 3 months they have hounded me. No matter how much water I’ve had to drink or beauty sleep I’ve taken, they just haven’t disappeared. So, I thought it time to invest in a cosmetic method!
Now, if I’d had a celebrity bank balance then I would have maybe bought YSL Touché Éclat- but sadly I didn’t. Instead I had a wonderful voucher that Boots were giving out during early spring- £5 off any No7 product! I popped down Boots and had a look through their collection of concealers:
No7 Instant Radiance Concealer
No7 Calm & Conceal Dual Ended Blemish Stick
&
No7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick

londonjazz123
Advantages: good price, doesn't dry out skin, smooths skin, nice smell + texture
Disadvantages: not quick to use, doesn't get rid of blemishes that well
...Well to be quite honest, I've been a bit disappointed by the existing reviews on this product. This one is certainly going to be better than anything else you have ever seen before! I've really put a lot of time and effort into this, because I really want to show you a good review once and for all. So no nasty comments please..and none telling me there is too little information!
Summary of everything:
-It is a facial scrub, aimed at blemished skin
-Nice smell and texture
-About £4
-Can be used daily
-Doesn't get rid of blemishes very well
-Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth
-Easy to use, just massage onto wet skin!

-good for sensitive skin
**What is it?**
Ok, so we've all seen the adverts, and the special offers at super drug. But really, what is this product?
