...Wii is one of the greatest games consoles that I have ever purchased and I absolutely love all of the games that I have played on it to date.
Wii Family Ski is a game that up to five people can play and requires the Wii Fit to be able to play. It took me a while to find the Wii Fit or as it is also known the balance board but I kept on searching and got there in the end.
Wii Family Ski lets you create a character from scratch or you can import your Mii character too whilst selecting different ski gear for your character. You need to use the Nunchuck and Remote in your hands to use as ski poles and step on the Wii Board to really take advantage of this great game. The Wii Board takes over to allow the player to turn whilst skiing by measuring the swaying and leaning of the body.
In Family Ski, there are 14 different slopes to...

Review of Family Ski (Wii)
Advantages: Good fun Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...When it comes to sport I have always tried to avoid extreme sports, favouring instead things like athletics and running. I represented my county (Yorkshire) at both cross country running and athletics when I was still at school and since then I have completed one full marathon and three half marathons but as far as sport is concerned that is about it for me.
I have always consciously avoided skiing, although I realise that this is quite tame in comparison with a lot of what is available these days. Over the years I have declined several chances to accompany friends to winter ski resorts for fear of being a likely candidate to suffer a broken leg or worse, but I have a group of friends that are regular visitors to the European ski resorts and these same friends also frequently visit the Sheffield Ski Village, which is only a few miles...
...The silent majesty of the Canadian Rockies in winter is a completely unforgettable sight but the feeling of skiing down the tree lined runs is second to none. Now that Christmas is over it is time to dust off the Salopettes, dig out the passports, buy a new set of thermals and head off to the slopes.
Well an introduction like that makes me sound like an expert skier who goes year in, year out racing down the black runs, well the reality doesn?t quite add up, I have been once, to one of the most peaceful, beautiful areas I have ever visited Lake Louise, in the Canadian Rockies.
Lake Louise is a 2 hour drive from Calgary (direct, but very long flights available from Heathrow) the countryside on the journey goes from mildly interesting, seeing the Calgary ski jump where Eddie the Eagle made his winter Olympic name, to the beautiful...
Advantages: Quite different and much better than the previous few Black Sabbath albums with Ozzy Disadvantages: None
...Blizzard of Ozz was Ozzy Osbourne's first album following his split from Black Sabbath. Following being sacked from Black Sabbath, Ozzy was in a mess, living in a hotel and trying to drink and snort himself in to oblivion - Sharon Osbourne who would eventually become his wife, decided to get him back on track and from the brink of destruction, the depressive Ozzy got his stuff together and recorded this rather enjoyable album.
A great helping hand came from Randy Rhoads who added an awesome speed to the guitar playing of the band. The only thing that this album really has in common with his earlier work of Black Sabbath is Ozzy's voice, although it does tend to stay in the top rangeof his voice for much of it. The themes are quite different with a lot less of a satanic outlook and a more moody sound, the music is gentle and melodic...
Advantages: Great for everyone, Lots of different slides Disadvantages: Heat of walkways in the summer
...Let's start with a brief introduction... I have been to Blizzard Beach approx. 7 times. Most of the visits were with my parents between 1997 and 2000, however I recently visited twice in January 2007.
WHEN TO VISIT
The "When To Visit" Orlando is a well strung out debate...I have visited in July / August as well as January. Most of it is down to personal preference. We last visited in Janaury (60 - 70 degrees each day) and most people said we'd be mad to try the water parks. Ignore anyone who says this. There is no "good / bad" time to visit Blizzard Beach...if in Walt Disney World, head down, if only for a few hours.
GENERAL INFO
Blizzard Beach is one of Disney's two Orlando Water Parks (the other being Typhoon Lagoon). It is based on a winter wonderland in the sun. All the slides have plastic snow on them to make it look like...
Advantages: not bad price, looks amazing, some amazing sildes Disadvantages: wait time can get very long for slides
...Once long ago in Orlando Florida a freak snow storm hit. A very clever aligator decided to make his millions by building a ski resort in the middle of Orlando! Unfortunatly for the aligator the snow storm was only freak! Ever since then the snow has been melting creating water slides like you have never seen before!
I recently went to blizzard beach a Disney water park with some of the best slides in the world. It is a place for the whole family an adventure you will never forget.
Blizzard beach has some has some of the best slides in the world. These include a slide that reaches 55mph in less than 3 seconds. More over there is one of the longest family river rapids in the world and for those who just like to lie Down a relaxing lazy river, all with a touch of Disney magic. Whats more one of my favorite slides is the taboggen races...
Advantages: Delicious! Disadvantages: Not big enough if anything!
...Everyone loves a good bargain...well these little yoghurts are buy one get one free in Sainsburys as I type! They're Ski Smooth Yoghurts, and are delicious.
Made by Nestle, they come in blue packs of four with two flavours - strawberry and raspberry sized in 120 gram pots. As the title states, they're smooth versions so contain no 'bits' in them, something that I'm a big fan of as I hate getting little hard bits of fruit stuck in my teeth which can happen with yoghurts with the 'bits' still in them.
According to the packaging, "with all natural ingredients and years of experience in blending delicious fruit with creamy tasting yoghurt, Ski yoghurts are just naturally delicious." Very much so! They're relatively thick when scooped up by your spoon but no stodgy or unpleasant when you eat it. It tastes very refreshing and precisely...
Advantages: The accommodation, the skiing, the nightlife... everything. Disadvantages: More costly than europe... but worth it!
...INTRODUCTION
Whistler – Blackcombe is a ski resort situated about two hours bus journey north of Vancouver in Canada and is quite simply the most incredible ski resort I’ve ever had the fortune of skiing in. Before I begin to wax lyrically about its virtues a little background on myself as regards skiing. I’ve been skiing now for about 15 years having started at the tender age of 7 and until travelling to Whistler I’ve only ever-skied in Europe. In this time I’ve been all over Europe in all the major skiing countries as well as the less well known Andorra, Bulgaria, Finland and Sweden. I say all this not in an attempt to show off but to show that I think I have the credentials to comment on ski resorts.
I actually went to Whistler for two weeks in Easter ‘99 to visit my brother who was...

Review of Whistler, Ski Resort
Advantages: Delicious strawberry taste, creamy and thick yogurt, natural ingredients, low fat Disadvantages: No allergy information, don't have a very strong smell, mild taste
...After my lunch today, my mum got up from her seat and made her way over to the fridge to take out two yogurts, one for herself and one for me, like she does everyday to follow my diet plan. All of a sudden, I remembered the Ski Smooth yogurts we'd purchased in Sainsbury's the day before, that were now sat in our fridge waiting to be tried. I suggested that we should have them to see what they tasted like and she agreed. So then, sat infront of me on the table was the little yogurt pot that I'm very happy to review about. The Nestlé Ski Strawberry Yogurt.
Nestlé Ski Smooth yogurts are sold in 4 packs in every British supermarket, and are avaliable in three varietes: Raspberry and Strawberry, Tropical and Variety. Yesterday we picked up the Raspberry and Strawberry 4 pack for the price of £1.48, which I think is a reasonable price for 4...
Advantages: Cheaper, Less Crowded, Atmospheric... Disadvantages: May Be Cheaper, But Still Not Cheap!
...WHY PRE-CHRISTMAS? Well, it isn't just that greedy snowboarders & skiers such as myself are too impatient to wait until the season proper, which traditionally begins after Christmas?or not entirely, anyway. But there's nothing lovelier than a White Christmas, in a scenic location, and few locations are lovelier or more scenic than some of the world's best ski resorts. A long weekend spent on the slopes in the lead-up to the festive season can be incredibly satisfying, especially if you can manage to squeeze in a night's stay in Geneva, Zurich or Vienna en route, and visit one of the continent's more charming Christmas markets into the bargain. Speaking of bargains, there are more than a few to be had before the Peak-Season officially begins, when prices generally skyrocket, and pre-Christmas slopes are often very pleasantly under...
