...After having very short and spiky hair for most of my teens and early 20's, I decided earlier this year that I need a change and decided to grow my hair. When it got to a certain length, I purchased a pair of £20 straighteners from a supermarket. Being the 'typical' man, I decided that straighteners were straighteners, and I was not going to pay over the odds for a product that would no doubt do the job just as well. After getting sick and tired of waiting about 5 minutes for my straighteners to heat up, and about 45 minutes trying to get my hair straight, I decided on the recomendation of my friend to purchase a pair of the GHD mini thin straighteners. Great for short thin hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....

...One word... AMAZING. This has to be the best home bleaching kit out there. I had been on and off about bleaching my hair for a good year. One trip to the chemist i found a nice all in one kit by b blonde so i thought, why not? I brought it and took it home. I opened it to see what i have a to read the instructions. I had a small bottle of 30% bleach and a packet of peroxide powder, a mixing tub, a small brush to apply the mixture, a pair of gloves and a plastic hood. As my hair was quite long at the time a decided before i did it i would buy another kit so i had enough. I sat down on the floor, mirror infront of me and in some old clothes. I mixed the products as stated in the instructions and applied them as it said. I applied the plastic hood and waited for 30 mins and checked my hair. It was still a bit orangy so i left it...

...After trying Lush's 'The Blonde' shampoo to disastrous effect, I started looking for other shampoos that claim to lighten blonde hair. There are quite a few out there now, but this Sunsilk one was the cheapest at the princely sum of £1.99 so I figured it was worth a shot. It comes in a bright yellow 200ml tube with a flip lid for easy access in the shower. I just read a review that said the tube will last for 12 washes - if it only lasts that long you're using a ridiculous amount of shampoo! I have long hair which is quite thick and my tube lasted me about a month and a half using it every day, sometimes twice a day if I was going on a night out or I had the smell of smoke in my hair. I found that after using it with the conditioner my hair was nourished and more silky than before, especially since they need color protection. I loved that radiancy it provided. It's recommended for daily use, but after a while you don't seem to notice such a great effect like you did when you'd use it for the first time. It's affordable considering it can be bought with a conditioner from the same series. It' s got a handy package, which is a big tube known from its ability to use the product instantly and makes it easier to use the shampoo even if there's not much product left in the tube (not as other shampoos which don't usually stand on their lids)....
