Flymo Leave Vac and Blow
Review of Flymo Gardenvac Plus Garden Blower by
drow22
Advantages: Easy to use and Light Weight
Disadvantages: Cable gets dirty and in the way
...With the on set of autumn I thought I would buy myself a leave vac. Sweeping up wet leaves from my drive, was sending me crazy so thought I would invest in a leave Vac and bought the Flymo vac and blow.
It comes in a box un assembled. It is rather easy to put together although the instructions that it comes with for assembly are awful and difficult to follow.
Once assembled the vac is easy to use. It has a slide button on top to switch between blow and suck and has a button on the handle that you hold in to start it as soon as you let go the vac stops, just the same as a flymo lawnmover.
There is a grey carry strap to put over your shoulder to help hold and support the vac.
The vac is electric and has to be plugged in it does a have a good length cable , but I found that in this weather when it seems to be constantly raining the wire...

Excellent labour-saving machine.
Review of Flymo Gardenvac Plus Garden Blower by
wiseoldowl
Advantages: Light, very efficient blower and vacuum facilities.
Disadvantages: Bag a little small, and cumbersome to empty.
...With a big garden of nearly 3/4 acre, I hve a need for quality, reliable, labour saving equipment. Two years ago I decided I had had enough of constantly sweeping the drive of leaves and debris from the many trees in our front garden, and the masses of leaves over our garden as a whole.
I invested in a Flymo garden vac, and found that somewhat to my surprise, it proved to be very efficient at sucking up dry material. The blower also proved to be very effective at blowing leaves and debris into a pile. A third switch position gives a very powerful jet scourer, combined with a vacuum, which lifts leaves etc ground into the tarmac by the wheels of the car, and sucks them up in one operation.
The machine is very easy to use, and light enough to be carried over the shoulder using the straps provided without any discomfort. The only...

Crossing Swards
Review of Flymo LCV340 by
Amdididdy
Advantages: Easy, effective and (almost) enjoyable
Disadvantages: None I can think of
...I'd heard (and read) that most lawn scarifiers had problems. The handles were too high or too low, the boxes were difficult to remove or didn't hold enough or the debris flew over the top in a futile endless loop. The flex wasn't long enough or it didn't go up to the edge of the lawn.
The whole thing seemed like a minefield and it was with some trepidation that I decided to buy the Flymo LC-340 (couldn't find the "V" on the box but I guess it's probably the same model).
Oh, so it's a self-assembly job, I thought as I opened the box. But the instructions were very clear (take note, Ikea...) and within 10 minutes the machine was assembled from scratch. It colour-matched the Flymo hover mower, blower-vac and strimmer I already owned (but that wasn't necessarily a reason for buying it). The blurb on the box hinted that the machine somehow...

Aqua Vac Multi System 22
Review of Aqua Vac Multi System 22 by
Trev1000
Advantages: Very strong reliable wet and dry vacuum cleaner.
Disadvantages: None whatsoever.
...The best range of vacuum cleaners ever made has got to be the Aqua Vac range.
We've had loads of different hoovers over the years ranging from the little dust busters & dirt devils right up to stuff like the Dyson and the Vax, but I have never had one like the Aqua vac.
I have had the Aqua vac for about 9 years now and it's still just as powerful and useful as when we first brought it. If you've read about the Vax that we use these days, you already will have a good idea of the type of hoover the Aqua vac is. The only real difference is the motor size, the Aqua Vac has only a 1000 watt motor, but you wouldn't think it, the power is amazing.
When the wife got her new Vax a couple of years ago, I got to have the Aqua Vac for the shed, caravan and so on. I think the upgrade was just for a change really as the only thing wrong with old...

Love it and hate it
Review of Bubble Bagless Vac 1400W by
pingcuter
Advantages: good for price
Disadvantages: hard to get parts
...I bought the Vax Big Bubble Upright because I wanted a cheap bagless vac while I saved up for a new Dyson (broken by a friend not worn out).
At first I was really pleased, it isn't as powerful as the Dyson, and not as good for stairs, but it got the job done, and for the price was what I thought a bargain. Then 2 weeks ago the trouble started. I have only had it for 3 months and the fan belt for the beater bar snapped. So I popped down to Comet where I bought the vac, only to find out they do not stock the fan belts.
Not to worry I thought, I will search the net. No, I won't, everytime I found somewhere that said they stock it I got an email after ordering to say they can no longer get it. I ended up emailing Vax, I can get it off them by phoning with my Debit card or sending a cheque. As I don't have a cheque book, I phoned...

The Vac From The Kettle Company
Review of Morphy Richards 71062 Performair Allergy Cyclonic by
donnamarie1975
Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: None I can think of
...and are robustly constructed (if only out of plastic).
Morphy Richards seemed to have thought of everything. The vac uses Hepa filters, of which they have kindly provided 2, these have a lifetime guarantee. They are easy to keep clean, just rinse them under the tap and let them dry thoroughly. The bagless cylinder is easy to remove and by pressing a button your waste is released. There is also a little dusting brush on board to brush away additional dust. The dust capacity is 3.8 litres.
With 300 air watts and 2000 of power, the suction on this vac is good, especially if like me you have a pet. You can vary this though with a slider on the front of the vac, for non powerful jobs.
I must admit I do love my new vac, my house has never looked cleaner....

Super Workhorse
Review of Sanyo 1200W by
gailmill
Advantages: looks good, works great, sturdy, well built
Disadvantages: a little difficult to get bags sometimes
...I have had this vacuum for well over year now and although we are a
family of four with two VERY messy kids, this vacuum is as good today
as the day I bought it. It vacuums up every speck of dust, paper,
crud, general bits and bobs and the casing is so sturdy and well made,
there isn't a scratch or chip on it (even though daughter number 1
likes to sit it straddled and play cars!).
The only gripe I have is that where I live, it is a little difficult
to get replacement bags for Sanyo vacs. Don't ask me why, I didn't
think Sanyo vacs were particularly rare, however I usually have to get
them ordered in from the vac bag shop. Oh well you can't have
everything can you?
Anyway, I would definitely recommend this vacuum, it was reasonably
priced and I call it my old faithful (as in the past we have tended to
wear vacuums out in about ten...

Dyson DC24 Vacuum
Review of Dyson DC24 BALL ALL Floors by
firebladegal
Advantages: lightweight, small, ease of use
Disadvantages: small dustbag
...I love this vacuum!!! Its so light, compact and really easy to use even my husband can use it!!
I have already got a dyson vac but needed to replace it due to it being old and bits starting to drop off (sounds a bit like its owner really!)
I saw this on a preview and really liked it. It is only 3/4 size of a ordinary vac as the handle collapses inside itself. It is very easy to use as you just twist the handle to steer the vaccum on its ball rather than vaccing backwards and forwards. The beater bar can be switched off with a button on the front of the vacuum when using the attached tools.
Even if this vac is 3/4 size, it does just as good a job as a full size one. The dustbin is only small and requires more frequent emptying but this is not a problem.
Stairs are easy to do as the power lead is quite long and the vacuum very...

Little Miele
Review of Miele Cat+dog+ by
sue_eadie
Advantages: Lightweight and powerful
Disadvantages: None that I have found
...I love this vac. Its so light compared to the dyson that I already owned. If fact the dyson is now in consigned to the loft.
I have a cat and it picks up the hairs brilliantly. Its lovely to use, its quiet and even the stairs are a doddle to vac with this item.
I used to hate vacuuming but not anymore! LOL
My teenage son said how much he liked it as well. The bags are removal and its very clean. No mess when you change the bag at all.
There is also a dial where you can alter the power of the suction. This is also really useful as some surfaces require different suction power.
The onboard tools are also very good. There are various heads to use as well so you dont have to stick to the one. Its very easy to adjust the height of the pipes as well which is really convenient....
