Excellent little device to ensure road legality
Advantages: Small, easy to install, works perfectly
Disadvantages: None at all
...Due to the new handsfree driving legislation coming into effect as of March this year in the UK, I thought it was time I upgraded my method of talking handsfree when in the car - which was merely using the in-built speakerphone of my mobile (which is quiet so nearly always had to be held to my ear anyway) which would now land me a rather nasty fine and points on my license.
I'd heard about these parrot devices through a friend who was having one put into her new car, I googled them and came across Amazon that were selling them for a lot less than Halfords (around £30-£40 less when I purchased mine) as I thought I'd be able to fit it myself.
It came in only a few days in a small box consisting of the bluetooth unit, a small rectangular blue box with connections at each end for the car-side of things (speakers, power cable etc...

Safer calling in the car
Advantages: Easy to set up and use, small unintrusive unit
Disadvantages: No caller ID screen
...I rarely use my phone to make calls in the car but have missed important calls whilst driving and so I wanted to find a simple solution to being able to pick up my calls in the car.
This bit of kit is excellent. No ear piece, no wires and no holes in your dashboard. The unit simply clips onto the sun visor and the microphone flips down when needed. The unit is very small and doesn't feel like it's 'looming over your head' in any way and is easily removable for when you leave the car.
In terms of set up, it couldn't be easier. It simply switches on and links to your mobile phone through bluetooth. Once paired, the unit will automatically connect to your phone when you switch it on so you can leave the phone in your bag / pocket and the unit will still be functional.
The quality of calls is very good. The speaker is excellent...

Perfect if you already have a Bluetooth PocketPC
Advantages: good value, excellent GPS receiver, simple to use
Disadvantages: not as sophisticated as other (more expensive) navigation software
...My first satnav kit. This was perfect for me as I already have a PocketPC with Bluetooth (an iPAQ 4700). I bought the bundle from dabs for about £120.
Note that the "display size" score is arbitrary as this kit doesn't include anything with a display - I've based this on the average 3.5" size of a PDA screen.
In the box
1x Holux GR-230 Bluetooth GPS receiver
1x car charger (12V DC) for the GPS receiver
1x USB cable for the GPS receiver
1x SD Card containing software
1x CD*
1x PDA holder kit
1x printed manual (in good English)
* I haven't needed to use the CD at all. I suspect it contains drivers if you connect the GPS to a PC, and electronic versions of the manuals.
Setting up
Very straightforward, insert the SD card and the software automatically installs. There are two options, a minimal...

* The old hands free CARK Kit . .
Advantages: Very good sound reproduction, always set up ready for use.
Disadvantages: Needs an external anrenna, plus fitting. Dated nowadays.
...I recognise this, I very nearly bought one a while ago. I had a "play" with one, and I priced it up, and it was a lot more expensive then. I am surprised nobody has done a review yet, but as Ciao has allowed anyone to do just that, ever since they were introduced in 2005, so I will oblige.
Let me just tell you exactly what this kit does.
It holds your Nokia phone securely in your car, van, truck, to your dashboard or wherever you like.
It trickle charges your mobile battery.
It provides a mike and proper speaker, both separate to, and better than, the mobile phone's original ones.
This particular kit is specific to the following models:-
Nokia 6310i, Nokia 6310, Nokia 6210, Nokia 6110, Nokia 6150
Other kits are based on this, and can be found for many other mobile phones.
Yes I must admit this kit is a little out of date...

Bluetooth advantages
Advantages: Small
Disadvantages: Expensive
...I purchased this product a month back for approximately 20 GBP including the delivery charges on amazon.co.uk.
I have gone in for the 10meter range product. It is available in different ranges. So the Bluetooth works within the 10 meters range.
The PC requirements for this product is
*******************************************
PC compatible computer, CPU speed should be above 200MHz or above. Memory should be above 64MB though they say that the recommended memory should be around 128 MB. The system should be Windows 98 and above.
I am not sure of the Mac OS, All I know is that it suports Mac also.
Package
**********
The product itself comes with the CD installation software and documentation, User Manual, Quick Installation Guide.
The Installation guide is good and it was easy for me to follow the steps and setup...

Belkin Bluetooth Adaptor
Advantages: Small, quick to connect to devices like mobiles and pda's. Good value for money.
Disadvantages: You must read the instruction manual well to set it up properly.
...I purchased this product just after Christmas and so far, I have not had any problems with it.
The first thing I must say, is that you MUST make sure that you read the instruction manual before doing anything else. From my experience, if your computer has windows xp and 'service pack 2' installed (usually automatically added when connected to the internet). Then you must install the software first and before plugging it in!
Once you have set up the bluetooth adaptor onto your computer (this took me around quarter of an hour) it truly is a marvellous piece of kit. Personally, I bought the Belkin Bluetooth adaptor for several reasons:
1) It works with basically all programmes needing a bluetooth dongle.
2) To connect my bluetooth mobile phone to my laptop so that I could store data (pictures etc.) and copy over appointments...

Long in the (Blue)tooth
Advantages: 100m Range, Compact Design, Great Software
Disadvantages: Price
...capable fax or modem. I don't even have a Bluetooth capable mobile phone! The only thing I use it for is synchronising my iPAQ, but I have a perfectly good USB cable for doing that which doesn't take such a hit on my iPAQ battery.
All of this is not to say that it is a bad piece of kit. On the contrary, it's well built, comes with some good software and is a doddle to set up. If I had a use for Bluetooth this would be the ideal device, particularly if I wanted to use it anywhere in my house. It's just that I have come to the conclusion that I don't actually need Bluetooth.
My advice to you, dear reader, would be to disbelieve the hype and ask yourself if you really need Bluetooth before parting with your hard-earned. If you determine that you do actually need one, think twice about whether you need to fork out the additional £15 on this...

Baby Bluetooth
Advantages: BTv1.2 better for voice, Tiny, very small and did I mention diminutive
Disadvantages: Err...cap can drop off...does that count?
...I bought this bluetooth (BT) device so I could connect my notepad to my mobile phone (SonyEricsson K750i) wirelessly; quick summary:I've had it 6 months and it works a treat.
My version is Part # F8T009uk, which is the enhanced BTv1.2 version. It looks identical to the v1.1 version so watch out if you want the improved voice features apparently offered by v1.2 as some shops may try and flog you their old stock. I got lucky on this front as I originally ordered this kit from Amazon but it was out of stock, so I cancelled. Next day I just happened to see that the new version had come out and so picked that up in PCWorld at the same price as Amazon (14.99 GBP).
Opinion:
This thing is TINY! I have used USB dongles before for such things as a USB 54g connection and this is the smallest thing yet (it actually looks bigger on screen...

Fat Kit Kat
Advantages: Taste, quality, Size, Filling
Disadvantages: ...none
...Having just eaten a Kit Kat Chunky Caramel it seems I'm eating these in the wrong order, but the Kit Kat chunky is another of the now rather extended Kit Kat brand chocolate bars by Nestle. The idea of a ?chunky? Kit Kat is that it's thicker than a normal one with much more wafer in the centre making up the vast part of it's bulk. The bar looks more like a Yorkie than a typical 2 (or 4) finger Kit Kat in general shape though it keeps the red of the Kit Kat we all know and love, the Kit Kat logo and the Kit Kat biscuit formula.
Nutritional Information (per 50g bar)
261 Calories
3.1g Protein
31.6g Carbohydrates
13.4g Fat
Sorry for putting that so early into the review but with Kit Kats (and Nestle in general) not having the treat wise guide on them, it's actually a struggle to read the nutrition details due to the fact I...

A GREAT HANDSFREE KIT + BLUETOOTH
Advantages: Light, Smart, Good Looks, Bluetooth, Cool
Disadvantages: Battery Life is not Excellent
...This is a very good handsfree kit that was bought due to that new law that has been brought out, that you cannot use car or mobile telephones whilst your vehicle is moving. This has produced a big production point for telecommunication companies across Britain to build handsfree kits, there are all sorts and the Bluetooth ones are the best at the moment, they look good, they?re wireless, and they are very clear. All in all it is a very good piece of kit.
Sound & Volume = 10/10
=
This handsfree kit is very good, the sound quality is fabulous, it is extremely clear in your ear, and it is very clear for the other person, as they?ve commented on the clarity on phone calls. It has great sound effects for when someone is calling you as well. When somebody calls you, your phone rings as normal, and the Motorola...
