HR Owen Heathrow BMW & MINI
Review of BMW by fashthebash

Advantages: Exceptional Offers - Fantastic Service and Competency of all within the business
Disadvantages: -

...I recently had my vehicle serviced at HR Owen Heathrow BMW in West Drayton and found the overall experience brilliant. I have had numerous BMW's and been to many dealerships but I found them to be very professional and thorough. The pricing was competitive and they advised me on all the extra items my car needed after carrying out a FREE Maintenance Check. The one thing I found unique about them was they offered me a Service While I Fly facility. I dropped my car off to the dealership and the courtesy bus took me straight to the airport for my business flight. When I returned, they collected me, had the car waiting done and cleaned and I killed two birds with one stone. My car was serviced and the storage/parking charges were a damn site chepaer than all the NCP's etc... around the airport. In a nutshell the service was superb... Read review

Avoid Scotthall Cambridge
Review of BMW by rhillside

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: lack of knowledge, high prices, poor service

...I have had a number of dealings with Scotthall Cambridge BMW. Before I purchased my latest BMW, a330iSport, I asked them to quote me a price. They were more expensive than another dealer. When I told the salesman I could get the same car from another UK BMW dealer for £1000 less he asked me why I had wasted his time asking for a quote in the first place and admitted Scotthall was not the cheapest BMW dealer. I decided to go with the other dealer, pay less for the same car and dealt with a salesman who was polite and interested in selling me a car. Accepting that the service department might be better I took my car to Scotthall Cambridge for it’s first service. I took a ‘while you wait’ slot and from previous BMW dealers expected it to take about 45 minutes. After 40 minutes I wandered out to the car park to look at the second hand BMWs... Read review

Slippery devil
Review of BMW 318i by HeyWhat

Advantages: Nice looker reliable
Disadvantages: road holding

...I bought my BMW seven years ago and for a bottom end of the BMW range i found it to be everything i wanted and expected. Slick look, nice interior and the BMW prestige sold it for me. Having just sold mine i even got a good resale price which is a plus when you need a good deposit for a new car. Its been a reliable car but when something goes wrong be ready to put your hand in your pocket as nothing comes cheap on these babies. The down side apart from parts etc is its ability to perform like a world figure skating champion in the most light of weather conditions. get used to this and you've got a reliable, comfortable, good looking ride. Leave the Mercs to the old boys.... Read review

M brilliant
Review of BMW M3 Coupé by shak_y2k

Advantages: Great engine, good looks, good brand name.........
Disadvantages: shape and price

...The BMW M Coupe is an outstanding car in every way. For a start, it looks outstanding; definitely eye-catching. There are only 250 of this car in the UK, so it is all very exclusive if you manage to get your hands on one! And for £40,595 there not half bad! The silky smooth 321 BHP V6, rear wheel drive is superb. Other great things about this car is that it has a wonderful hard top that dramatically increases torsional rigidity. That means that the car handles better than a roadster. The BMW badge signifies wonderful build quality and a very reliable brand. The car is also very quick and very powerful. Many people would love to have a V6 and I am one of them. So, if you would like to get a BMW M-Coupe...don't worry....all you have to spend is £40,000! BMW M Coupe Stats: Model: Rear-wheel-drive coupe Price: £40,595 Engine: 3... Read review

BMW318iSE
Review of BMW 318i by ChoccyBoy

Advantages: A prestigous car giving a feeling of safety and comfort. d
Disadvantages: Latest models not as well finished off as the earlier ones.

...My wife and I have owned a 3 series BMW since 1974. The first one was a 316i (1596cc)with manual gearbox. The car was completely reliable and very well made, and the paint finish was faultless. Servicing was every 6,000 miles, although perhaps more frequent than other cars at that time, the cost of the service was as cheap, perhaps cheaper than that of other foreign cars. The second BMW we bought, in August 1997, was a 318iSE (1796cc)with automatic gearbox, again completely reliable but the paint finish was showing signs of not being as well finished off as the previous model, especially around the wheel acrches, inner boot lid bonnet etc. The servicing intervals however were longer, every 8,000 miles and again the servicing price was competative, the BMW labour costs seemingly cheaper than those of a Ford garage. In September 2001 we... Read review

BMW AMAZING PERSONIFIED
Review of BMW 3 Series 325Ci Sport Coupe by tailorsanjay

Advantages: FAST PICK UP, SUPER COMFY, JOY TO DRIVE
Disadvantages: TOO GOOD!!!!!

...As with all BMW's, this one is an absolutely amazing treat to drive. Looking at it from the outside makes you want to jump in and take it for a drive... once you get in to the drivers seat the shere comfort of it makes you feel as if you are in a world of your own. You turn the engine on and it purs, no signs of a skipped beat or anything. You put the car in to first gear (or drive) and the car jets off. There is so much power behind this vehicle. The pick up speeds are so quick, 0-30mph in 3 seconds - easy!! Even when you are travelling at 70mph on the motorway you can hardly hear a thing from the outside. If you were to make a hands free call to a loved one whilst you were driving on the motorway they would think that you are talking from your bed (so I've been told) - its really that quiet! The sound system in the car is next to none... Read review

I lurve my car...
Review of BMW 316i by sianandmartin

Advantages: It looks soooo good
Disadvantages: Expensive to service and get parts

...I just love this car so much. I always wanted a BMW even when i was a little girl, I'd heard my Dad saying he wanted one and so did I. After a little 'prang' involving my Citroen Saxo and a Pergeot 306 I was offered a used BMW (1997 - P reg) in Black with air conditioning, CD player, alloy wheels etc. It looked so lovely and my dream came true. The cost of the used car was the same as it would cost me to buy a brand new saxo - £5000 and that's without the added extra's. The quality of the car was just as good as I expected it to be, I felt so much safer than I ever did in my Saxo, BMW's are built like tanks (luckily because I do have a nasty habit of driving into things!) My Saxo just folded into the size of a bean can when I had the accident so the safety thing was important to me. (Its worth remembering that BMW... Read review

The Ultimate Driving Machine
Review of BMW 528i by JSingh

Advantages: Almost everything
Disadvantages: Could be slightly bigger for rear passengers

...The BMW 528i is, in my opinion, the best all-round luxury car in the World. It combines style, build quality, practicality and refinement to produce a simply magnificent car. My 528i is a 2000 model, so it's one of the last cars before the facelift. It has a lot of optional extras, and the mileage is currently 59992. I purchased it about a year ago for less than £9000, so it was excellent value for money. I also have a Mercedes E240 (2001 model) which is a direct rival for the 5 series. Exterior The BMW is a very, very attractive car. It looks sleek and understated, whereas the E-class looks a lot more bulky and imposing. In a way, the E-class has the advantage when it comes to real world driving. It's probably due to the Mercedes badge, but people will always move out of your way on the motorway and they will almost always give way... Read review

A good family car for the city and suburbs
Review of Toyota Prius T4 Hybrid 1.5 VVT-i by W195SPE

Advantages: Cheap to run and roomy
Disadvantages: Expensive for a Toyota

...Prior to buying the Prius I owned a BMW 316 ti, a 3 door 1800cc petrol model with the latest fuel saving valvetronic engine. I live in ther London suburbs and do a lot of short trips to schools, shops, work etc and a couple of long trips a month. On this mix the BMW (which is capable of 38mpg plus on long A road trips) gave 24.8 mpg. The Prius, on exactly the same mix of trips is giving 44.5 mpg. On 8000 miles per year and current petrol prices (April 2006) that's a saving of over £500 per year. Plus I can save on road tax and congestion charges and insurance. The biggest saving is on company car tax - check it out Vs even diesels. The car is much roomier then the BMW and costs slightly less (mine is the T spirit model) and has automatic, sat nav and bluetooth which the BMW did not. On the downside the plastics are not a patch... Read review
