BMW 328i Sport Coupe
Advantages: Stylish, powerful, fast, reliable, comfortable, great fun to drive.
Disadvantages: Expensive to run, lack of luggage space, poor fuel consumption.
...This is a review of my BMW 328i Sport Coupe (E36).
BMW describe their cars at ?the ultimate driving machines? and with the 328 coupe, BMW certainly does not disappoint. With stylish good looks, breathtaking performance and smooth, precise handling, the 328 coupe is a car that brings a smile to your face every time you drive it.
Performance:
With BMW?s legendary, smooth 6-cylinder, 2.8 litre engine and 193bhp, the 328 coupe is a pleasure to drive. For those interested in performance figures, 0-60 is quoted at a little over 6 seconds and top speed is limited to 143mph. But those figures don?t tell the entire story. In the 328, power is delivered in such a smooth way and, whilst acceleration is very quick, you don?t realise how quick you are going until you glance down at the speedometer! But that?s not all - the 328 just keeps...

A nice car to have---BMW 645Ci coupe
Advantages: Nice technologies, and many more adding to the comfort of driving the car.
Disadvantages: None at all
...a feature with the one first seen on the Z4, the 6 series also has the DDC---Driving Dynamic Control, which gives the engine a more spontaneous reaction to the accelerator.
Agility
Intelligent lightweight technologies make the car more outstanding. Thanks to the inventive use of aluminum, steel and synthetic materials throughout the body, the 6 series is able to have such good class-leading agility. What's more, the front section of the car is significantly lighter than steel, the hood and doors are aluminum and the front fenders are thermoplastic.
Handling and Responsiveness
Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and BMW's Active Roll Stabilization are added in to the driver's advantage. For 6 series coupes' sports package sold in the U.S, they have BMW's unique Active Steering, which...

BMW 1.9 Z3 Roadster
Advantages: Great for hot, sunny days and posing, great build quality
Disadvantages: Attracts unwanted attention, NOT a sports car
...If you want a BMW Z3 then do not go for the 1.9 version. The small engine, although provides some torque, is not up to the job to power a heavy 2 seater roadster.
I bought a 1997 model in blue, with 65,000 miles on the clock for £8,000 back in April 2006.
After changing jobs I fancied a change in car. I had always wanted a small two seater convertible and had considered the MX-5 and MGF. Although I like the look of both of these cars they are a bit.....well...... ponzy. I wanted a 'mans' convertible. Unfortunately the SLK, Z4 etc were way beyond my budget, as was the Z3 - or so I thought.....
When I saw the Z3 I had to have a drive in it. It was a bright and sunny day, not too hot since it was April, but the rag top brigade were out in force.
The Z3 felt sluggish, but then I had just gotten rid of my 240bhp twin entry turbo...

Pimping-out my BMW 318iS
Advantages: Amazing control/handling of car and begs to be upgraded (is well worth it)
Disadvantages: Need to upgrade a lot of different things, so have money saved/ready
...If you are going to buy this car, you need to know this:
* The "i" in BMW 318iS stand for "injection" (which is good/new)
* The "s" stands for "sport"
* "Coupe" means "a fixed roof and 2 doors"
My car's year: 1994
My mileage: 100,000 kilometers
Engine: V6 - 1800cc
Service problems: nothing major/expensive yet
Original tires: Michellin "?" (15 X 7)
Current tires: Pirelli "6000" (15 X 7)
FEATURES:
The convertibles are not worth buying, as they leak in water when it rains heavily. What is the point of having a roof if it leaks and can't be fixed. I also think the convertible roofs on the old 3 series bmw models look tacky. Much better to have a fixed roof and this car has a sun-roof anyway. But....

320 Coupe dream machine
Advantages: Six cylinder heaven
Disadvantages: none thus far
.... Price - £24k for a 320Ci with sports seats, CD auto-changer, front arm rest and metallic paint. The buying experience from my local BMW dealer was again an effortless and pleasurable experience. I also got to view the new M3 in the workshop before it went on public show….mean machine.
The Coupe is built from the ground up as an out and out Coupe, it is not your run of the mill converted saloon with two doors. The body styling on the 3 series Coupe is absolutely superb it turns heads and meets admiring glances wherever it goes. The car is wider and longer that the normal saloon and has that to die for Coupe styling. Body coloured door handles/side skirts and the chrome trim around the doors add to the classy lines. The large driver windows with no door pillars make the car look even classier and there is almost uninterrupted 360...

Bmw M3 Evo Saloon
Advantages: Fast, reliable, good handeling, comfortable, looks evil, solid build, smile factor
Disadvantages: expensive to maintain and run, steering wheel is a bit big, long gear throw
...Bmw E36 M3 evo saloon
I love my M3 evo, 90k on the clock so far FSH and still on the same healthy sounding vanos unit. Ive always had quick cars but this thing is awesome. There are a few updated items on the 3.2 E36 M3
including bigger brakes from the M5 6, speed box and bigger 3.2 twin vanos engine giving a massive 321bhp.
Beware though this car cant be run on a shoe string budget. my spends so far
1) new suspension and bushes standard boge set up £1000
2)gear box selector seal £150
3) inspection 2 service £850 which has highlighted that the vavles will need re-set in about 20-30k at a cost of £400
4) Its going in in two weeks to get the vanos serviced ,new mesh oil filter, solinoides cleaned and longer BMW bolts fitted to the front plate at a cost of £150
And if that troublesome vanos unit goes im looking a £1500...

The BMW M3 is drive-a-licious !
Advantages: Good motorsport feel
Disadvantages: Pricey, can get stiff neck, driving at speed
...At first glance there doesn't seem anything special about it, but I have to admit it does look better than the average BMW. That's when I noticed the lower front spoiler, the wider wheel arches that hide the wider axle. Believe, I couldn't go wrong with 20 18 inch rims,...can I ? Then there's that little hump on the bonnet to make sure there's enough room for the bigger engine. At closer inspection I noticed the M3 nostrils on the front fenders...and the emblem on the back on the car that says EMMMM 3 !...but the most distinct characteristic I like lies below the emblem...it's the beautiful 4-pipe organ ( twin exhaust ) which plays the most wonderful sounds known to BMW kind !...no not the church organ...but this one vroom-VROOM !! (get it ?!) Once inside I noticed the usual BMW leather upholstery, a little chrome polish here and there...

My 3rd BMW
Advantages: Performance economy and comfort
Disadvantages: It does not drive it self ( well not quite )
...a 3.0litre diesel straight 6 and takes you from 0-62 mph in 7.8 seconds and delivers 184bhp,it holds its own well against a similar 2.5 litre petrol BMW as you can imagine. This is a fine engine and when it comes to torque it?s got bags of it (390Nm).
The economy is amazing and even with my driving style I can get 35-40 to the gallon although the manual says "42.2 mpg".
It does not sound like a diesel when you are driving or feel like a conventional diesel, it?s a fun car with a fantastic build quality that?s fun to drive.
The service from my local dealer in Doncaster was excellent and with service intervals of 15k the first one being an oil change costing just short of a hundred pounds. When I get to the second service I will update the prices I can look forward to a 3 year warranty on a so far reliable car with initial low...

Excellent Rare M Powered Car!!
Advantages: 321bhp, No Traction Control, Heated Leather Seats, Luggage Space
Disadvantages: Rare
...Having now owned mine for 8 months I have fallen in love with this car. I have owned many performance cars before including the e46 m3, s3, golf r32 etc.. and this is my favourite for a number of reasons.
Firstly the way it looks, you either love it or hate it... and the way people look at it due to it being so rare.
The handling is very good, no traction control, just pure driver input. So if you are not an experienced driver, or dont know how to handle a car properly, stear clear!!! these cars do bite!!
The 2 comfy seats (heated) and good boot space are perfect if you can live with that. Fits me and my girlfriend in, with luggage to tour europe for a few weeks no problems.
The performance is awesome, what you would expect of the M3 engine, 321bhp and rear wheel drive is the perfect combo. Track days are a must if you want to...

BMW 3 series: compact all the way...
Advantages: Great buys at the moment
Disadvantages: Will be replaced in 2005
...After a somewhat disastrous encounter with a VW I decided that in my next car, I wanted to stay German as I was impressed with the build quality of the VW but that I wanted a little more prestige but without a huge price tag. A BMW 3 series probably doesn't say cheap to most people but I have just purchased the BMW 1.6 ES special edition for £16, 495 including metallic paint.
What do you get for your money?
With this special edition I have got a 1.8 litre engine with 150 BHP.
Standard features of this car include:
Air conditioning (manual)
CD Player
162 alloy wheels
Electric front widows
M3 steering wheel and gear stick (no controls)
Sports suspension
Anthracite headlining
Storage compartment pocket
The base price is £15, 995 and metallic paint will set you back a further £500 ish. This car is...
