...This is my first BMW, and I am sorry to say my last. The 320d has a reputation for turbo failure, which I believe applies only to pre July 2003 models. This failure can happen at any time regardless of service history and so cannot be predicted or circumvented and is a widely publicised failure amongst 320d owners on the internet!. The cost of repairing this vary between £2000 - £3000 and is not something which I would expect from a name like BMW. Other drawbacks include driver comfort, which is virtually non existant, after 15 mins in the drivers seat you rapidly experience another feature of the 320D - namely BMW "Numb Bum", which I must admit was not publicised in the brochure. Advantages: A higher class boy racer's car

...I've owned a BMW 320iSE L-reg for the last three years and I have to say that my experience with it has been mediocre at best. Prior to owning this car I owned a 525iSE (F reg) and it was absoloutely fantastic...the sort of car that dreams are made of. Unfortunately all things come to an end and I had to sell it. By purchasing a 3-series I thought I was buying more of the same however this was not so. Even with a 2-litre engine the performance is nothing special. No wonder they make versions with huge engines. First gear is set so low that it runs out of puff before you're going at anything more than walking pace...what was it designed for? ...I bought a 2004 model 320DSE recently and am pleased to report it is a nice executive car. The 320D range start with a basic model then the ES then the SE and then of course the Mtec Sport. The level of goodies you get with the car go up with each model but they all driver the same apart from the sports suspension on the Mtec. I decided the Se was probably the best value for myself with Climate control, electric windows , 6 speed manual gearbox, electric windows all round, and cd player advantages over the ES. This is the second BMW I have owned. the first being a 316 made in 92, and I must report it is amazingly similar to drive. The pedals are offset to the right slightly but this feels quite natural, the, the brakes are exellent, and the clutch is fairly light but has quite a long travel which I find takes a while to get used to... ...I have not ticked the "i own this product" box as my family doesnt own the car anymore due to the new model coming out, we bought this car in 2005 so i was a 55plate. First point id like to make. A convertible diseal. There getting more common now, but for bmw to bring it out. It was absolutly amazing. Before we had the 320cd we had a 320d (the saloon) and we were amazed to here that they had brought this out. Shortly after we chopped the saloon in and purchased the convertible, a 2litre diseal with a top speed of around 130-135. Not to mention how economical it is compared to the petrol version! And as it is diseal it had a lot of torque. Anyway enough about the background and engine, lets talk about features. Inside, it comes with a business cd player heatunit, with upgraded bmw speakers. ...As a qualified mechanic and the owner of god knows how many cars over the years I have decided the time has come to do an automobile review and what better to review than my one time pride and joy sadly no longer with me my BMW 320i convertible. I bought my BMW in 2003 it was 2 years old and set me back around 12 thousand pounds which was roughly half the cost of buying a new one and was at the time a very good deal. I fell in love with the car after one test drive and just had to have it. Although there have been many different versions of the 320i over the years with very different specs the one I bought was pretty top of the range and had the majority of extras available. ...-series BMWs and they became *the* car to have. BMW jumped on the expensive image the three-series had here in the UK and stripped it down to its basics: you couldn't buy a specific model, everything was an optional extra on the car -- even the radio. You chose your engine, then your trim style, then added everything else you wanted as an optional extra. This was a successful formula for the German marque, until the Japanese started to enter the executive saloon market with the ever-reliable Honda Accord and, later, the Lexus IS200. The model to have was, at the very least, the 320. All BMW engines revved happily and sounded unstressed even when the driver was racing the nuts off them, getting the rev-counter needle to touch that horrid red line, but the straight six-cylinder engine that came in the 320 and above sounded sweeter than most... ...I’ve just recently changed my car ….from BMW to another BMW, once you’ve driven a BMW you are spoiled from driving other cars – its true ask any beemer owner. I’ve always wanted to own a six-cylinder car and always dreamed of driving a good quality Coupe. The opportunity arose when a change in job allowed me to change my car. I test drove a 318 Coupe to get a feel for the car, it was a couple of hours of pleasurable driving and a real shame to have to take the car back. As the dealer didn’t have the 320Ci as a demo (new engine / new Coupe) I test-drove the 330 saloon to get a feel for the difference between a four-cylinder and a six. The difference was immense, super smooth effortless acceleration, loads of torque and that pumping six sound. I was sold. Picked the car up three weeks ago. Price... Read review

Advantages: Quick roadster

...is a suprising amount of leg room although the head space with the roof up feels a bit claustrophobic. Luggage space? Yes there is some. More of a weekend bag than a suitcase carrier though. Body is elegantly curved with a distinctive BMW sculpture. Not the linear design of the horribly ugly 8 series. I particularly like the contrasting grilles on the bonnet you get on some models. the Chrome effect is very nice. Performance! Well it has bags of that. The 3 litre will get you form 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. Giving a porsche a run for its money. Top whack will be 153mph!!! No worries about getting to your destination in time! Not that you get to use that sort of power on British roads. It pumps out 320 horses through the wheels. Enough to keep most stable hands happy! Now having been a wet shave fan for the past twenty five years and after having had some bad experiances with a variety of dry shavers, I thought that the wet razor Gillette Mach 3 was the best thing since sliced bread. NOW ALL THAT'S CHANGED....... Oh look a birthday present from my mother and its a new shaver and considering I have had many a row with my mother when I lived with her over the mess with shaving foam on the mirror she should have known I used a wet shave.
