BMW 325i SPORT - MY DAILY DRIVER
Advantages: STYLING, IMAGE, BUILD QUALITY, ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Disadvantages: LACK OF SPACE, EXPENSIVE SPARES/SERVICING
...Last year, I replaced my 1999 BMW 323iSE saloon with a 2002 BMW 325i Sport. The 323iSE was a very impressive car, and my first from the marque. It gave me several thousand miles of problem free motoring. It was also surprisingly economical for a 2.5 litre straight 6 cylinder, generally returning an average of 31 miles per gallon. However, the mileage was getting a little high (80,000 miles in 3 years), so I looked again to BMW for its replacement. Originally, I was looking for a 330i, and it was in pursuit of just such a car that I found myself at a local franchise dealer. However, the 2000 330i I had intended to see there had not been prepared, and I was understandably disappointed. It was at this point that the salesman mentioned a low mileage 2002 BMW 325i Sport that he had in stock. Obviously as the car was newer, with a much...

BMW 325i convertable
Advantages: Fair price, electric roof, leather interior, CD player and, of course 'blindingly rapid'.
Disadvantages: Quite expensive parts, can tend to guzzle petrol depending on the speed.
...Two years ago my brother was serching for a car which had class, good looks, gave a good performance, a soft-top and space for his golf clubs. He found a mattalic purple BMW 325i convertable which gave him everything above. The only thing it didn't give him was the good performance - instead it's performance was excellent.
The soft-top folded back itself - what would you expect? The car came with black leather interior, a CD player, alloy wheels, a standard BMW alarm system and lots more.
Insurance can obviously be high for a quality motor as with the BMW 325i. If anyone was going to buy this car my advice to them would be that:
*BMW parts can be expensive, although replica parts are available at a fraction of the cost.
*It may be necessary to buy a wind-breaker, (which breaks the sometimes violent wind when the roof is down...

BMW 328i Sport Coupe
Advantages: Stylish, powerful, fast, reliable, comfortable, great fun to drive.
Disadvantages: Expensive to run, lack of luggage space, poor fuel consumption.
...This is a review of my BMW 328i Sport Coupe (E36).
BMW describe their cars at ?the ultimate driving machines? and with the 328 coupe, BMW certainly does not disappoint. With stylish good looks, breathtaking performance and smooth, precise handling, the 328 coupe is a car that brings a smile to your face every time you drive it.
Performance:
With BMW?s legendary, smooth 6-cylinder, 2.8 litre engine and 193bhp, the 328 coupe is a pleasure to drive. For those interested in performance figures, 0-60 is quoted at a little over 6 seconds and top speed is limited to 143mph. But those figures don?t tell the entire story. In the 328, power is delivered in such a smooth way and, whilst acceleration is very quick, you don?t realise how quick you are going until you glance down at the speedometer! But that?s not all - the 328 just keeps...

BMW 120D M-Sport
Advantages: Quick, Great Handling, fun and fuel efficient.
Disadvantages: Expensive, Run Flat Tyres, rear leg and boot space.
...I now own a BMW 120D M-Sport and after driving alternatives such as the Audi A3, VW Golf TDI and the Focus TDCI, i came to the conclusions the BMW was perfect for my needs. Out of the three the BMW had the best handling aside from the AUDi's Quattro system which i feel lacked the poise and preciseness a rear wheel car gives you(RWD is also much more fun). The BMW had more grunt than the other cars and is nearly half a second quicker than it's nearest rival (Audi A3). The ride can be crashy on less than smooth roads due to it's Run Flat Tyres which i may add are very expensive and wear out much quicker than standard tyres. They don't add any benefit to the dynamics and handling of the car. Please note Run Flat Tyres are fitted standard. The 120D however, does lack rear space but isn't at all cramped as long as the front driver...

my bmw compact
Advantages: comfort and handling
Disadvantages: cost to run
...A nice man in a white van decided to go into the back of my little Renault Clio and wrote it off, therefore having children, I needed a car pretty quickly, as their school was too far to go by bus or train. A friend that wasn't using his BMW any more said that I could have his. So I test drove it and decided there and then this was the car for me.
Price?
The price of a BMW 316i compact differs to whether you buy this car new or second hand. The prices range from £14,500 new to £1500 second hand in poor condition. I paid £2,500 for my 1998 BMW from a friend, which was in great condition, however had high mileage. The car I got had a full BMW service history. As it did have a full service, I decided that the price was good for the car. I am sure you can get some great car for about this price if you were buying new, however...

Life with my BMW 320i Sport
Advantages: smart, comfortable, economic on fuel, quick
Disadvantages: A little conservative in looks, expensive to service
...As a new mum, I had to replace my beloved Mercedes SLK 2-seater with the more child-friendly BMW. Obviously the BMW had a lot to measure up to. Some of the key stats then - it is a V6 2000cc engine, which means I get similar brake horse power to the 323i Sport - 170bhp compared to 186 bhp (but you wouldn't notice and it is about £3,000 cheaper). 0-60 in about 8-9 seconds, but more importantly they have discs, on the 17" alloys, all round so brakes 60-0 in about 3 secs. The insurance group is 17, but depending on your circumstances, you might pay from about £600 per year fully comp. It is a saloon and the four doors makes it easy enough to get my baby into the car seat.
My first outing in the car proved a comfortable and enjoyable journey luckily. Leather seats and sports steering wheel made me feel at home. The steering wheel...

BMW AMAZING PERSONIFIED
Advantages: FAST PICK UP, SUPER COMFY, JOY TO DRIVE
Disadvantages: TOO GOOD!!!!!
...As with all BMW's, this one is an absolutely amazing treat to drive. Looking at it from the outside makes you want to jump in and take it for a drive... once you get in to the drivers seat the shere comfort of it makes you feel as if you are in a world of your own. You turn the engine on and it purs, no signs of a skipped beat or anything. You put the car in to first gear (or drive) and the car jets off. There is so much power behind this vehicle. The pick up speeds are so quick, 0-30mph in 3 seconds - easy!! Even when you are travelling at 70mph on the motorway you can hardly hear a thing from the outside. If you were to make a hands free call to a loved one whilst you were driving on the motorway they would think that you are talking from your bed (so I've been told) - its really that quiet! The sound system in the car is next to none...

Fast, safe, visually pleasing with a hint of practicality
Advantages: Fast, Safe, Practical, Well built
Disadvantages: Fuel Economy, Servicing costs, Worry!
...This is a fantastic car. I am a huge fan of german cars anyway, but this is one of their best. I own a BMW 325ci 03 plate on around 50k. It has the 2.5 straight 6 cylinder engine, and has the "M-sport" exterior package, which in my opinion, makes the car particularly the 18" alloys. Its surprising how few cars have this exterior package option, and it really makes the car stand out from all the (unfortunately) other 3 series BMW's out there.
The car itself is fantastic. The engine pulls hard, and the automatic "steptronic" box is very, very smooth. Clicking the gear stick to the left and putting it in sport mode really livens the car up too, holding the revs longer for example. The suspension and chassis are perfect in my opinion, blending composed and rapid cornering with a plush ride. Minus fuel economy, the car behaves brilliantly...

2001 BMW 330i SPORT M-Tech
Advantages: its amazing
Disadvantages: you spend to much time in it
...I have just purcahsed a BMW 330i sport M-tech and its awesome.
First the outside subtle sports detailing mean you stand out from the crowd and there are plenty of 3 series beemers around these days. If you want second takes then this is the model for you. Mine is a 2002 in silver.
Once you get over the gorgeous flared arches and the simple boot spoiler coupled with the agressive looking fornt you open the door. With the M-tech you step over the M badged door sill protectors and jump into gorgeous black leather sports seats. The door closes with and executive rasp as the air is squashed.
Once aboard you feel like you are in control the cockpit design means everything is aimed at pleasing one person, the driver. The finish is impecable with carbon fibre everywhere and simple delecate touches.
A twist of the key fires the 3Ltr...
