BMW 330CI CONVERTABLE D/P

Advantages: looks
Disadvantages: fuel

...Brought this car six weeks ago and where do i start?. The power?,the looks?, or the relibilty of the car. The first thing that sold the car to me was when the sales man pushed the button on the key fob and the roof dropped down with out me being in the car, it also does this from quite a distance. I got the m-sport pack which does set the car off a treat. I get on the fuel economy approx 24-25 mpg on a run, i try to keep the at 40 mpg on the dash. This car is fast and in sports mode with the sequntial gears it does hold the road and keeps the power coming. The roof is great and not to bad on drop speed, can do this at lights if straight off, but dont do it if they change quick as you will feel a fool. The car does look great and drives excellent, with the roof down i have not gone for a wind deflector as why have a convertable...

BMW 330 CI - Ultimate Driving Machine?

Advantages: Fast, silky engine, good looks.
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy, boot could be bigger

...I have a 52 plate 330CI which I have had from new. It's approaching it's 7th birthday, and in my opinion is a supurb machine. There was a few nigging faults when it was new, with the windows, quite a common problem, and the central locking has a fit every now and again. It has been through a couple of coil packs too, but they are quite cheap to replace. Enough of the negative points, this car drives like a dream, fast, and responsive when you want. Plenty fast enough to have your partner shouting in your ear to slow down, when you see some open road, but a quiet comfortable cruiser on long motorway runs. It is pretty fuel efficient too. I often get mid 30's MPG on the motorway, and mid 20's around town. Lets not forget this is a 3 litre in-line 6 cylinder engine with 231 BHP and 300 NM torque, so if you are heavy with your...

BMW 325i convertable

Advantages: Fair price, electric roof, leather interior, CD player and, of course 'blindingly rapid'.
Disadvantages: Quite expensive parts, can tend to guzzle petrol depending on the speed.

...Two years ago my brother was serching for a car which had class, good looks, gave a good performance, a soft-top and space for his golf clubs. He found a mattalic purple BMW 325i convertable which gave him everything above. The only thing it didn't give him was the good performance - instead it's performance was excellent. The soft-top folded back itself - what would you expect? The car came with black leather interior, a CD player, alloy wheels, a standard BMW alarm system and lots more. Insurance can obviously be high for a quality motor as with the BMW 325i. If anyone was going to buy this car my advice to them would be that: *BMW parts can be expensive, although replica parts are available at a fraction of the cost. *It may be necessary to buy a wind-breaker, (which breaks the sometimes violent wind when the roof is down...

2001 BMW 330i SPORT M-Tech

Advantages: its amazing
Disadvantages: you spend to much time in it

...I have just purcahsed a BMW 330i sport M-tech and its awesome. First the outside subtle sports detailing mean you stand out from the crowd and there are plenty of 3 series beemers around these days. If you want second takes then this is the model for you. Mine is a 2002 in silver. Once you get over the gorgeous flared arches and the simple boot spoiler coupled with the agressive looking fornt you open the door. With the M-tech you step over the M badged door sill protectors and jump into gorgeous black leather sports seats. The door closes with and executive rasp as the air is squashed. Once aboard you feel like you are in control the cockpit design means everything is aimed at pleasing one person, the driver. The finish is impecable with carbon fibre everywhere and simple delecate touches. A twist of the key fires the 3Ltr...

BMW 330Ci Sport, with M3 body styling

Advantages: One word, German.
Disadvantages: Thirsty and not for the faint hearted, also, damned expensive!!!!!!

.... When I first bought the car (Mine is a 330Ci convertible with M3 body styling) there was a small rattle in the front left hand corner (where the roof meets the window) and like all rattles, it really annoyed me. But as I have driven the car further and faster, the rattle has gone, and the car has become much more smooth. Reliability: With age this car has become more reliable, even though mine is only a year old there is the whole BMW history behind it. From the first 3series until now, these cars have always been reliable, mainly because they are built and engineered in Germany. With this history behind them, it makes the 3Series one of the most reliable cars I have owned (and others will most definitely agree. Comfort: Ok, this car isn?t the largest in the world. The entire length is 4.48metres, and the width is only 1.75metres...

Outstanding 330d

Advantages: Performance, Build Quality, Value, Price Retension
Disadvantages: Not Much

...Introduction In December I purchased a new BMW 330d SE 4 door saloon for £27,586 with automatic gearbox, leather seats, wood trim and CD autochanger. I must say this car is absolutely amazing. So far after six weeks and 2,500 miles I have had no problems at all. The build quality is excellent, no rattles or squeaks. The dealer service was excellent, the car being delivered on time and in pristine condition. The Car Even though this car is powered by a 3 litre diesel engine the noise levels are very low, only when the car is started from cold do you get any indication that it is a diesel. Once the engine warms up the engine sounds refined and smooth. The car is very quiet inside and fifth gear will take you from 25mph to 141mph. 0-62mph is a achieved in 8.2 seconds for the automatic or 7.8 seconds for the manual version...

HOW SENSIBLE CAN A CONVERTIBLE GET?

Advantages: Weather Proof. Engine. Fuel Economy. Style. Interior Space.
Disadvantages: Purchase Price.

...Please note that the photograph inserted by Ciao at the top of this page is NOT the car of the title - it is the very different last model, soft roof BMW 3-Series. I have published pictures of the latest model - that is, the car reviewed and which the title refers to. WHAT IS IT? The BMW 320d SE is a clever folding metal roof version of BMW's ever popular 3-Series. Particularly interesting in this case is that roof up, the styling is barely distinguishable from the conventional 3-Series Coupe model. The 3-Series has always been one of the more spacious, four seater convertibles, the folding metal roof does not change this, at 4.58 metres long and 1.985 wide, it is identical in size to Coupe model. WHICH SPECIFIC MODEL? The model reviewed here is the new four cylinder, 177bhp 320 diesel, in non-sporting SE trim. This...

My 3rd BMW

Advantages: Performance economy and comfort
Disadvantages: It does not drive it self ( well not quite )

...My first BMW was an old shape 12 year old 728i, even for its age it drove like a dream. I fell in love with BMW engineering. The second was a new shape 318i, this was my first out of the showroom BMW and it was great fun to drive. At the end of March the 318i went back to the lease company an I decide to buy my own and take the company car allowance I get from work. I saw a beautiful diamond black 330D Sport priced at 33K in the local BMW showroom in Doncaster. The only drawback I thought wrongly was the Automatic gearbox. Well it had been a while since having an automatic and I wanted this car there and then as the lease on my old car was near expiring, ( took 2 weeks )I gave it a go and bought it. The interior is bright cream leather with M "Black Cube" decorative trim. The M Sports steering wheel is finished in black leather...

BMW 320i soft top, A real drivers car.

Advantages: style, class, powerful and built to last.
Disadvantages: replacement parts can be expensive.

...As a qualified mechanic and the owner of god knows how many cars over the years I have decided the time has come to do an automobile review and what better to review than my one time pride and joy sadly no longer with me my BMW 320i convertible. I bought my BMW in 2003 it was 2 years old and set me back around 12 thousand pounds which was roughly half the cost of buying a new one and was at the time a very good deal. I fell in love with the car after one test drive and just had to have it. Although there have been many different versions of the 320i over the years with very different specs the one I bought was pretty top of the range and had the majority of extras available. I am of course reviewing the car from my own personal opinion so this review will contain information on the extras my BMW had but do not expect to find these...

Does the 330i live up to the hype

Advantages: Good looking, quick, reliable, the clear leader in its field!
Disadvantages: Apart from cost none spring to mind.

...Before I get to the answer a couple of points to note; Firstly, buying the 330 was somewhat of a compromise (first offspring on the way and a two seater would clearly no longer suffice). Secondly, if you want that combination of looks, build quality and performance then I guess one inevitably comes has to try out a BMW. Thirdly, my first BMW (a company car, 7 years ago) was a 318is coupe so I thought I knew what the 330 would be about. But does it need to be a 330? At over £30k for the "all bells and whistles variety" it's not cheap and let's face it, how often is having the speed restricted to 155 mph going to be an issue? Let's deal with the various considerations (without resorting to facts and figures; go to the BMW website for those). The drive; nothing short of excellent. The ride is solid and the car reacts...
