==Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)==
Advantages: variety of games to play
Disadvantages: Slow loading
...Mario & Sonic at the olympic games was the first game i bought after getting a Wii for christmas.
I personally think that it is an excellent first game to get for the Wii. You can happily play for hours and hours becuase of the wide variety of events you can play. These events include;
*"Swimming"
*"Archery"
*"Running"
*"Hurdles"
*"Long jump"
*"Triple jump"
*High jump"
*"Pole vault"
*"Hammer throw"
*"Javeline throw"
*"Epée"
*"Trampoline"
*"Vault"
*"Rowing"
*"Skeet"
*"Tennis"
So as you can see by this list you have a wide variety to choose from but you also have the options of unlocking different games, this can be done by breaking records and so on. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is fun for all the family to enjoy because it has a multiplayer option of upto 4 people. You also get to choose from all your favourite...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)
Advantages: Great fun, realistic actions
Disadvantages: Will tire you out easily
...During the 1990s, if you had a games console you would have probably been in one of two camps: Sega or Nintendo. I certainly was rooted firmly in the Sega camp having had a Mega Drive for many, many years with games like Street of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog. I was a huge Sonic fan, playing the first and second game until completion and then starting up again a few days later as I loved everything about it, the colours, the gameplay.... everything.
So if you tried to convince me that some 10-15 years later that Sonic and Mario would team up in a game, I probably would have just laughed. Back then it would have been an absurd thought but one that any magazine reviewer or computer game fanboy would have only dreamed about.
Well January 2008 saw this realisation with the release of Sonic & Mario...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
Advantages: Great multiplayer fun, lots to do
Disadvantages: Slightly Repetetive
...The Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has been with us for a while now, and it hasn't been too badly received either amongst the Wii-mote waving, button bashing members of the public out there, so now that the DS version has finally arrived, should these same gamers still be as excited as they were the first time around?
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games on the DS is certainly not short on features, 16 playable characters have all been included, each of which are split into four categories such speed, skill, power and the all rounder's, therefore you can choose which characters you would prefer to use for each event based on their ability. The game also offers plenty of choice when it comes to events, these range from sprinting, swimming and cycling to more specialist events such as fencing and gymnastics...

Now you can compete in the olympic games
Advantages: fun, variety of events
Disadvantages: muscle strain
...Having seen the advert for this game i was desperate to buy it as i have not had my wii for that long and i do not have many games. I eventually bought this game and i am so glad that i did as it is great fun.
Players
This game can be played as a one player or multiplayer as long as you have a wii remote for each player. Also you will need a nunchuck for each player although some of the games you can play with just the remote.
Characters
In this game you can play as characters from either sonic or mario such as sonic, tails, mario, princess daisy and yoshi. Each of the characters have different abilities which are split into speed, skill, power and stamina. you can choose a character who is a speed, skill, power or all around type which means that if you are playing a running game you would choose a character from the speed type...

What a smart board!
Advantages: interactive, great display, useful resources, great teaching tool
Disadvantages: pens and remote too easy to steal, callibration issues
...PLEASE NOTE - PUNCTUATION STILL DOES NOT SEEM TO BE DISPLAYING CORRECTLY IN MY REVIEWS. COME ON CIAO - SORT IT OUT!!!
Teaching in schools has been revolutionised by the use of interactive whiteboards in classrooms. These boards have been gradually replacing the standard ?dry wipe? whiteboard as the central focus point of the classroom. There are two main brands used in schools at the moment and these are the Promethean Interactive Whiteboard and the SMART board. The Promethean uses one pen as the means of interacting with the board, where as the SMART board uses four coloured pens, an ?eraser? and you can also use your finger.
I understand that this is not a product that anyone is likely to buy for their house as is main use is within schools, colleges, universities etc (having said that, businesses are now beginning to invest in...

boards for writing on then wiping clean
Advantages: saves paper
Disadvantages: none
...The students in my class use white / dry wipe boards to write/draw scribble on to practice pencil control and to do their work on.
These white boards are the modern equivalent of a blackboard, a slate. They are useful in saving paper waste. Johnny can draw and correct many pictures on one of these as when the picture/work is finished with it can be wiped of by using an eraser Certainly easier to clean than a chalk board , cleaner no chalk dust making a mess
White board pens seem easier for my special needs pupils to write with than standard pens.
The non magnetic white boards our students use are about A4 size, they do come in different size some A3 others that are smaller or bigger. Some I have used have a plastic colored frame border around them others do not have any frame edging. Some are magnetic some not. A white board is...

Carnival Funfair games: Wii
Advantages: Cheap, very fun!
Disadvantages: No good for young children, and it doesn't "progress" much.
...This game is so fun!!! We got it with our Wii when we bought it and we got a little addicted to it!! Its got a variety of games on it which you can play which you find at real carnivals and funfairs! Games such as Coin toss, ball in a bucket, milkbottle tumbe and loads more!! You earn points and unlock prizes and more games as you go (my favourite prize is the G-Raff on the duck hitting game!!!!!!) It can be played by up to 4 players and if you only have one controller it accomodates this!!!
As well as been a great game, its cheap too!! The only thing with it, is that some of the games don't last very long, and once you've unlocked the few games extra you can get, the game doesnt progress, but that is the only fault, and as a game to play to pass the time and have a good laugh in the head to head mode, its a great game to have a good...

Mother of ALL Board games
Advantages: Superb Family fun
Disadvantages: It can cause mayhem and arguments galore
...lots of different versions, like different countries, cities, football teams, junior monopoly, and more recently, there is even a dot.com version of the game, and it is also available as a computer version on CD-Rom.
Some interesting facts, about Monopoly:
It is believed that over 200 million games have been sold, across the globe.
More than five billion little green houses have been built since 1935.
The longest game in history took 70 straight days to finish.
I know 99% of people reading this opinion, will no doubted to have played the game, and enjoyed the superb game play, and also had one or two arguments over it and the other 1% must be off another planet, but everyone has to agree, Monopoly, will go down in history as “The mother of all Board Games”....

The Father of ALL BOARD GAMES
Advantages: Very educational, can be great fun
Disadvantages: Can be boring sometimes
...with the idea, that too many S?s would spoil the game, so he minimised the amount of S?s used to FOUR.
In 1933 Butts was actually turned down for a patent for his new game and even more similarities with Monopoly, he was turned down by two games manufacturers (Parker Bros and Milton Bradley) when he offered them his game. So Butts decided to make the game himself, and over the next Five years, he made and sold just over 200 copies of the game and it was becoming a commercial disaster.
Then in 1938, Butts got a bit of a breakthrough, the breakthrough came in the shape of Crosswords becoming ever increasingly popular, which gave him the idea of using a board to play the game on, to interlock the letters. The game went through about 4 or 5 name changes, until Butts decided on the name ?Criss-Crosswords?. He actually made the boards by pasting...

Mammy Can I Go On My Bubby Board Now Preeeze.
Advantages: Saves lugging a double buggy everywhere. Easily detachable and fun for my son!
Disadvantages: Read down sides in op!
...Well my sons almost two and a half now and likes to walk everywhere or rather says he?s going to then ten minutes down the road and he wants a carry. Now this wasn?t to bad when I only had one child but now with a daughter too I had to think of a remedy for the situation.
I originally bought a second hand double buggy (I wanted to see if I?d like them before shelling out a wad of dosh on a new one) when I was pregnant with my daughter but after two weeks I found it weighed ton and was very cumbersome getting on and off public transport so I decided I wanted buy a buggy board.
I remembered reading about this wonderful invention here on ciao but I?d not seen anybody with one attached to their buggy.
I asked about and my cousin said she?d seen a few people with them and they looked okay, she also said that the children on them...
