...We Want Bobby = Robert 'Bobby' Kennedy is a man who lived and died in the shadow of his brother John. Many films have been made about Johns life and his assassination, perhaps most notably the controversial JFK by Oliver Stone. So Bobby is here to try to redress the balance of the man who many thought would be the next American President and their savior. Conclusion = I was surprised when the end titles came up and said directed by Emilio Estevez, then suddenly everything made sense. I was wondering how so many A list stars ended up having small parts in this film and Martin Sheen and Emilio together on screen. If you like star spotting then this is the film for you. Harry Belafonte looks good for an 80 year old. The film does not have an actor portraying Bobby himself, the film cuts to archive footage...

BOBBY'S CRACKERS

Advantages: Tasty crispy etc
Disadvantages: Just a little boring

...Prawn crackers eh? Where would we be without them? Probably not very far from where we are now, but struggling to scoop up delicious lumps of Chinese take-away...unless you've got chopsticks/fork/spoon/hands that is. Never mind the delightful combination of scrunchy crunchiness and gloopy glutinness(?). Or you could just nibble them on their own. Actually, when you think about it, they're pretty horrid, fat-laden things. In fact, does anyone ever intentionally buy them? or, like me, gratefully accept anything that's free and in the process feel obliged to munch every last one of them. Perhaps watching me devour a gigantic bag of these planted the seed in Mrs P's head that, because I was scoffing them, that I liked them. Who knows. The upshot is that she 'treated' me to a bag of Bobby's Prawn Crackers. Oh joy. Like almost...

Review of Bobbi Brown Oil Free Foundation

Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick

Advantages: (+) perfect colour match (+) small (+) sleek packaging (+) blends well with only fingers
Disadvantages: (-) hefty price tag but worth it if you have difficulty with foundation shades

...For reference: Beige/Warm Beige (MAC - NW20; rosy cheeks, cool + pink undertones, freckles), hazel-brown eyes, dark/light brown hair w/ platinum slices. I have only ever used three types of foundation stick - Avon, MAC, and Bobbi Brown. Although I love MAC (and Avon was quite good, too) I fancied a change and stuck to my Bobbi Brown foundation stick. The most significant thing about these is that you can apply the foundation whereever you want - in the smallest of creases, the largest of cheeks, and so on. Okay, so you can pretty much apply foundation anywhere you please using a brush or sponge, but foundation sticks give that little more precision. I am slightly heavy-handed when applying makeup so I love how these don't "spread" all over - they stick to the small area where you applied it. On a similar note, the colour...

Fullers London Porter

Advantages: Nice complex, roasty taste. Not too expensive.
Disadvantages: A bit heavy sometimes. Not as refreshing as a lager for example.

...Fullers London Porter. 5.4% ABV Usually £1.89 for a single bottle. But on the current 4 for 3 deal at Sainsbury's it comes to £1.42 per bottle. London Porter is brewed by Fuller, Smith & Turner Plc at their Griffin Brewery in Chiswick London. Next to the river Thames in their 350 year old brewery which is the oldest in London. It is easilly available from Sainsbury's and probably also from the other main supermarkets. The porter has a smooth, roasty and complex taste. It's quite rich so is more one for a quiet night in than if you want a few more beers. It's colour is very dark, almost black. There is a slight tint of ruby if held up to the light. It holds a thick, tan coloured head which clings to the sides of the glass. This is similar to a stout, only with a sweeter malty flavour and less bitter than...

...I have used the Fuller CV service to review my CV and also to look at my covering letter. My problem was that I had far to much to say, and indeed my CV was overloaded with information. I was telephoned by their consultant in my field at exactly the time I requested and given a full hour of advice and discussion. In just a few days from my original contact with the firm I had a completely revised CV in my inbox. The covering letter was also much reduced and much more to the point. I am very grateful to the company for their caring and professional attitude; the consultant had an excellent manner and also obviously takes a great deal of pride in what he does. I highly recommend the service and think that it is good value for money....

Bobby brown

Advantages: Finally a good make up range for coloured skin
Disadvantages: A lil bit pricey

...I mainly like using the Bobbi Brown range because it is specially formulated for both white and coloured skins. The main reason it is good to have a make up range for coloured skins is because the darker you are the easier it is for your skin to get greasy, and many make up ranges do not consider this. Also many other make up ranges do not have flattering colours for coloured skin so you end up looking kind of funny and with a grey tinge. I have to say that Bobbi Brown assistants are very helpful and are willing to give you samples to try before you buy, so you don?t feel pressurized into walking away with something you don?t want, which I think is very important especially if you are paying a lot for it. My favourite Bobbi Brown product is their stick foundation its £26 but it lasts for 6 months, goes on easily and lasts all day...

Greyfriars Bobby - A dog is a friend forever.

...A simple, heartbreaking and lump in your throat story of a devoted grey terrier called Bobby who is the star of this true story from Scotland. As dogs go, Bobby was amazing; a very clever, loyal dog that stayed with his master for years, even after his master had died. I first saw this film in black and white on a video last year and the quality was dire but the film was so interesting that my husband and I watched on it the assurance of my father in law who promised us we would enjoy it, and we did. What else would we really expect from a Walt Disney production? I recently bought the DVD from Tesco on a special offer two DVD's for £10. The Fuller CV - fast response - poor content.

...Why did I choose 'The Fuller CV'? Having had little response to a CV that had previously worked, I decided to get it reviewed 'professionally' by a collegue who is an HR Consultant. As this modified version did not seem to do the trick either I decided to get a second opinion. I opted for The Fuller CV as it was flagged by Job Site. First things, first, After completing a brief registration process, you have two options to obtain your CV review, either by a phone call where you will speak with one of their consultants, or you can have it emailed to you subject to an 'adminstration charge'. I chose the review by email option at a cost of £9.73. What do I think of 'The Fuller CV'? The Good: I was impressed that this 'review' was delivered in an hour as they state it can take up to 'three days'. The Not So Good...
