...This being the last in my "free gift set" from Boots (well, not quite free - I spent £10 a couple of weeks ago during an in-store promotion period and got a set of travel-sized Sanctuary Spa Essentials, which I've been reviewing on this site ever since) I was expecting great things from the body lotion. As with the other items in the Spa Essentials range, the body lotion appears to be a re-marketed version of what was simply The Sanctuary Body Lotion and my travel-sized item (75ml) appears to be available for sale on the company website for £2.29, although the standard 250ml bottle costs £4.99. Burt's Bees Carrot Nutritive Body Lotion

Advantages: made from recyled material, not tested on animals, smell is quite nice
Disadvantages: Leaves a greasy feeling on my skin, takes quite a long time to absorb

...Recently I was given a Burt's Bees gift bag with lots of Burt's Bees miniatures in it. One of these was the 'Carrot Nutritive Body Lotion'. The bottle I got was a 29.5ml size, but it is also available to buy in a full sized bottle which holds 236ml and costs around £13. Burt's Bees products are quite easy to get a hold of, with a lot of shops selling them. They are also widely available online. The miniature bottle looks exactly the same as the full sized bottle, just a lot smaller! The bottle is made of yellow plastic and has a white plastic screw top lid. It has pictures of carrots on the label along with the name of the product in nice, clear, red font. ...Burt?s Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion: Number seven of the eight little Burt?s Bees treats I have been reviewing. This is one I didn?t try for ages because the other body lotion in the set was so nice I used it all and then got the full sized one. What a shame I did not give this one the attention it deserved sooner as it?s a lovely body lotion. For me this has the cutest looking bottle of the lot. It is a pale creamy, honey colour with a white label featuring a cow and a bee hive. I didn't used to bother using body lotion as a regular part of my skincare routine, as I always either forgot or didn't have the time. Since discovering this product that's all changed though! What they claim this does On the front of the bottle underneath the Sanctuary logo, you will see claims that this product will 'firm, tone and moisturise' Now, you will need to look closely to find that out, as it is written in fairly small print! The back also states that the ginger extract in this product will help boost circulation, which in turn will help reduce cellulite. ...I wrote about the Kate Moss perfume I bought myself as an early Christmas present a while ago, and this is the matching body lotion that came with it. I do own a lot of body lotions and I always mean to apply them regularly, but inevitably I forget or I can't be bothered, or more recently it's too cold to have any part of my body exposed for long enough to actually apply it! Lately though, I've been exercising more, and I want to keep my skin supple to prevent stretch marks, so I'm trying really hard to be good and apply it regularly. This lotion comes in a dusky pink tube with a black rose design along one side. This is the same design that you will find on the box the matching perfume comes in, and I think it looks quite nice and contemporary.
