...I have spent a long time looking for a body scrub that will not only smell nice, exfoliate properly but leave the skin with a smooth fresh feeling, I recently bought Coconut Body Scrub from The Body Shop expecting it to be as un-satisfying as the other products that I have tested. Yet to my suprise this product really left my skin feeling revitilised and clean. The product left a long lasting frangrance and a radiant glow to my skin and unlike other products was very satisfying to use. I find that with body scrubs the small particles scratch the skin and can be very uncomfortable but this product was extremely smooth. It cost a very reasonable £3.50 for a 50ml tub which suprisingly lasted a while, there was also a variety of products to compliment this one. This is a product that I will be using again....

An unexpectedly good Body Scrub from the Sanctuary

Advantages: a very effective, invigorating exfoliator
Disadvantages: might irritate sensitive skin

...A recent addition to the various beauty products my bathroom, thanks to a promotional offer at Boots, has been the Sanctuary Spa Essentials Body Scrub, something I doubt I would ever have bought otherwise but which I've rather enjoyed the chance to use. A couple of weeks ago, I spent more than £10 on other Sanctuary products and thus came into a travel set of items from the range, one of which was this exfoliator. It comes in a clear plastic tube with a bright orange cap and looks fairly dense in the packaging on first glance, but it's actually far more mobile than it first appears. Because the tube is virtually transparent, it's easy to see how much has been used and how much is left. The base of the cap is flat so that it can be left to stand up in the shower, and (although the version I have sampled is the travel-sized option...

Not sutable for gnomes - that vanilla moment body scrub

Advantages: unusual packaging, delicious smell, good scub
Disadvantages: Smell does not last that long and could do witha bit more moisturising conytent

Clarins Body Scrub - Sheer Luxury

Advantages: Gives a good level of exfoliation
Disadvantages: Price, very expensive

...of exfoliation. Although it isn't scratchy I would say it may not be suitable for those with very sensitive skin as the grains may irritate. Upon application the cream spreads easily and you don't need to use much to get a good scrub. So you have a rough idea of how much to use, I would usually use about a 50p size blob to exfoliate my whole arm. The best thing about this scrub is that it really does make your skin look glowing afterwards. My skin looks great this morning, nice and smooth with no dry patches. I would especially recommend this for use on elbows and knees or areas where the skin is especially dry as the grains do seem to provide a high level of exfoliation. Another thing I like about it is the smell, when you first dispense the product it doesn't smell anything special but after you have used it I notice my body always smells...

Scrub scrub!

Advantages: nice, soothing
Disadvantages: expensive

...This skin scrub is way more expensive than many on the market but I bought it as a treat to myself after I had my daughter when I was wanting to 'treat' myself and spend a bit of time on me. It is quite a gentle scrub compared to others that I have tried and tested but still seems to have the same affect which is good as I don't feel like i've scrbbed myself raw with pips or grit or whatever the latest scrub contains! Instead this is much more gentle so feels nicer and more luxurious on my skin. I have very fair and sensitive skin but this hasn't affected me at all so when it says it is suitable for sensitive skin types I can say that this much is true! Review of Dermalogica Exfoliating Body Scrub

Say goodbye to dry skin with this body scrub

Advantages: Leaves skin very soft, ideal for people with very dry skin

The packaging I think product packaging is quite important, especially if the item is going to be on display, so as to speak, in your bathroom. I am happy to tell you that this item is not in the packaging that is shown at the top of this review and is now in a much nicer tub. The body scrub I received was 200ml but it is also available in a 50ml, which would be ideal to try, if you aren't lucky enough to get them free like I did! The pot is quite wide and not very tall. It is clear so you can see the creamy coloured body scrub through it, with simple writing on the side and the cream lid has what looks like coffee beans on it (presuming it's actually the shea nuts though!). It's nothing special but not something I would have to hide away...

...Next in Shazza's marathon review of Sanctuary products is the Sugar Body Scrub. I think I should get a job advertising the Sanctuary's range as I am a total addict of them. See if you have read my other reviews I bet you thought I was exaggerating when I said I had a cupboard full of these - well believe me I'm not! I actually have a special section of my wardrobe dedicated to my Sanctuary items (is that sad?). Whenever I get the opportunity to increase my stash of pampering items I always turn to the Sanctuary products. My favourites is when Boots do them on 3 for 2 offers - time to stock up! So I have already reviewed the Sanctuary Body Scrub, Salt Scrub and Body Wash, now comes the turn of one of my top products in the range. Now I must admit I am also a bit of a car boot sale addict, well it's amazing what you can pick up...

Invigorating Body Scrub

Advantages: Thick gritty texture, nice smell, lasts ages

...I got this within a set of FCUK mini's for Christmas. It came in a really cute little baby-pink pot with a screw lid. I noticed at the time you can buy it individually in a big pot for about £5, but I think all the packaging has changed now. My Experience I usually use body scrub about twice a week and I prefer ones that are really gritty and actually feel like they're doing something. Some are more like shower gel with a few bits here and there, which I don't see the point of! This one definitely didn't let me down. It is made up of loads of tiny gritty pieces, almost like picking up a handful of wet sand.
