Keep free from spots!
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Foam Face Wash by
traveller22
Advantages: Brilliant for fighting spots
Disadvantages: None
...Tea Tree Oil comes from the Tea Tree plant, and the oil is known for its healing and anti-bacterial properties.
When I had spots as a teenager I tried many spot creams and other products such as clearasil and Oxy to try and get rid of spots, but had no success!
Tea Tree Oil on the other hand (especially Body Shop's facial wash), got rid of my spots and kept them away. I was amazed!
It comes in small containers with a black flip cap. The Tea Tree Oil is green and has smells quite nice. It recommends to wash twice a day with it, I find washing just once a day using it does the job fine. Keeps the face refreshed for hours!
It is slightly more expensive than other facial washes/creams, but I don't mind paying more for something that works well.
You can buy this product from The Body Shop which has many stores around the U...

Desert Essence Face Wash
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Foam Face Wash by
MariaGL
Advantages: The right bit of moisturizing, and astringient qualities alike
Disadvantages: expensive -around$6- for 4fl.oz, but it lasts....
...I've been using this product now for about one year, and it's my steadfast face 'soap'. It's full name is: Thoroughly Clean FACE WASH with Tea Tree Oil and Awapuhi. The company name is actually Desert Essence. Anyway, I discovered it after finding my other, different product wasn't doing the trick anymore. For those of us who have combination skin, but, maybe a little oily at times, and have drier patches too - this is great. Do you ever have the immunity problem? Like when you wash your face with the same product, and, after a while it just doesn't work anymore? Like your skin has built up an immunity? This product will not do that. It refreshes every time. It's excellent in winter, because Tea Tree Oil is, in fact, an 'oil' - but it's also very refreshing in summer months when you need a truly refreshing, cleansed feeling,- tea tree...

Hooray for tea tree
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash by
mareth
Advantages: clearer, cleaner, fresher skin
Disadvantages: may be unsuitable for some people
...for money too. It is not tested on animals either.
Since trying the tea tree facial wash, I have gone on to try other tea tree products such as the skin freshener, face mask, shampoo, body wash and soap....

Stick to pure tea tree oil and save your face
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub by
cladach29
Advantages: Nice smell, nice packaging
Disadvantages: Poor exfoliator, expensive
...after washing, I did not persist in using it as it did not improve my skin and if anything actually made it worse. I think there is some debate currently about whether exfoliation really benefits acne and whether in fact it doesn't just exacerbate the problem. I switched to simply using a regular moisturising facial wash and applying Body Shop pure tea tree oil to problem areas, and my skin improved quite quickly.
---Value for money---
A bit pricey given that there are other facial washes, including exfoliators, which are cheaper. Currently is priced at GBP 3-4.
---Availability---
In all Body Shop outlets (UK and Australia).
---Summary---
Not a particularly good product for me, and not great value for money; perhaps best enjoyed by those who regularly use exfoliating face washes and are looking to try something new. May or may not help...

Wow - The best face cleaner ever
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Foam Face Wash by
thisnamesux
Advantages: Spot free skin
Disadvantages: Prolonged use makes skin dry
...This face cleanser is the best on the market!
Tea tree oil is the best stuff for combatting spots. I used to use stuff like Clearasil etc... but then I found Tea Tree oil. Wow - combats spots like nothing else!!!
I'm 15 years old, and had trouble with spots, now I hardly get any! I also use it to clean my piercing (eyebrow) which is great!
The anti bacterial properties of it make it an excellent facial cleanser, and piercing cleanser (i also use hydrogen peroxide 6% aswell as tea tree oil on my eyebrow)
The only downer on this product is that prolonged usage of it makes your skin feel dry. But at least there are no spots ;)
The way I use it, is to squirt a load on a flannel, then scrub it into my skin, to remove all dirt and grime.
One bottle lasts about 6 - 10 weeks for me....

It Actually Does What it Says
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Body Wash by
NoLogoGirl
Advantages: No mess, washes away easily, a face wash product that actually works
Disadvantages: Smell is nothing special
...I don't buy products from the Body Shop very often, mainly because it is quite pricey and some of the fragrances are too strong. Here's the but. Two years ago I got some Tea Tree Oil Body Wash in my stocking at Christmas and I have used the product ever since. The Tea Tree treatment is meant for people with oily skin however I have a fairly normal skin condition. When I wash my face with it, it leaves my skin feeling soft to the touch and although the fragrance in this body shop product is nothing to behold, the results are fantastic. I rarely get spots since I've been a regular user, it makes me feel clean and fresh, it is easy to take everywhere on my travels (convenient packaging) and it is worth the price because I don't need any extra face washes to use in conjunction with it. It gets my two thumbs up....

Does it for me
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Shampoo by
squares67
Advantages: Best nit killer
Disadvantages: stings if goes in the eyes
...The body shop's tea tree oil shampoo is the best way of getting rid of those awful things no one wants to talk about nits. I know everyone wouldn't want to admit to there child having nits but it is one of the joys of having children at school they will get them from time to time and as they are so contagious it is very hard for a child to miss them. I have tried every medicated shampoo on the market including ones prescribed by the doctors only to find they don't work apparently the nits become immune to them after a while. Somebody once told me that tea tree oil was the best way to kill them off so I went off to the body shop and bought a bottle. I washed my daughters hair in it for three days on the trot and they'd all gone and now I wash her hair in it once a month and I don't have any problems anymore. Beware of children's eyes...

Face fresh
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash by
cherub3001
Advantages: soft skin, cleanser, no spots!
Disadvantages: none!
...I am 15 and am atcually very lucky in that unlike my older brother james, i dont have spots and i never have got many. I owe this fact to my religious use of the Body Shop's excellent tea tree oil facial wash!
I used to sit in the bathroom and watch my brother (now nearly 17) apply spot cleanser after spot cleanser on to his skin in the hope that one of them might do what they're supposed to. He would spend over £25 on designer products as well as trying other products that claim to get rid of spots. None of them worked until he tried using the Body Shop's tea tree oil. Seeing the effect it had on his skin made me start using it even before i had spots to ensure that i never did!
My theory has worked too! i was every morning with the facial wash and it does work. Very occasionally do i get the odd spot but after washing with tea tree...

The Skeleton Was So Glad HE Crossed The Road
Review of The Body Shop The Body Shop by
nufcbabe99
Advantages: You'll love it
Disadvantages: Nout!
...Ok i admit, I did over-splurge in The Body Shop the over day, but that's just cause the stuff in there is so good!
The £40 I spent in there on quite a lot of products was totally worth it, simply cause they WORKED!
They don't test on animals, which is such a huge bonus cause we all know that animal testing is cruel. Thankfully The Body Shop know that too. It makes you feel guilty when you buy a product which has been tested on animals and with The Body Shop products you know they are totally animal-cruelty free!
They were really nice in there I even decided to get one of those card things you pay a fiver for and they let me have it half price instead . . . pretty cool
My fave products that I couldn't live without from The Body Shop are:
. Tea Tree Oil Soap - Cheap and cheerful. Use with the facial buffer sponge for maximum...

Blitz those Zits
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Moisture Gel by
kellyv43
Advantages: non greasy
Disadvantages: expensive
...I have always suffered from spots or zits whatever you want to call them, but over the last few years they have been a lot better. I am a big fan of tea tree oil products for use on my face and have been for a few years now. I usually use ones made by either Boots or from the body shop. One of my particular favourites is the tea tree oil moisture gel that is made by the body shop.
It comes in a small 50ml green tube with a black screw cap on it. It has a black label on the front of it clearly telling you what the product is.
This body shop tea tree oil moisture gel is made for people with oily or blemished skin. It is non oily gel which will sooth, soften and hydrate the skin without greasiness. The back of the tube gives a description of how the gel works. It says that Glycerin, pro vitamin B5 and sea plant extract moisturise the skin...
