Review of The Body Shop Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lotion by
Morning_Becomes_Electra
Advantages: Contains Shea Butter, and has the most amazing smell.
Disadvantages: The excess glitter comes off!
...***BODY SHOP***
***Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lotion.***
This is an item from the Body Shop range that is only available at Christmas. So with Christmas fast approaching I want to share with you this fantastic Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lotion. I actually received this as a present last Christmas, and I didn't start using it till a couple of months later. When I finally did, I realised what an amazing product this actually is, and whenever I have it on people always ask me "What is that AMAZING smell?".

Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lotion
Review of The Body Shop Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lotion by
paulathomson89
Advantages: Leaves your skin feeling and smelling great!
Disadvantages: CAn be a bit too shimmery
...This is one piece from The Body Shop's Vanilla Spice range that is sadly only out at Christmas.
**Packaging**
This comes in a gold bottle with a gold pump which despenses the product. It has a creamy coloured label on the front which says Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lotion in gold writing it also has the new Body Shop logo on it.
**Fragrance**
This does have a very strong vanilla smell but it also has a bit of a kick to it, i don't know it if that's the spice bit! The smell may be a bit to sweet and strong for some people but i like it. It does last for quite a while on the skin which is always a plus point.
**Key Ingredients**
Vitamin E which is an anti-oxidant which helps to nourish and protect your skin. It also contains shea butter which helps keep skin soft and supple.
**Size and pricing**
This comes in a 250ml size bottle...

Vanilla Spice shimmer Lip Balm
Review of The Body Shop Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lip Balm by
paulathomson89
Advantages: Tastes Great and moisturises too!
Disadvantages: Maybe the price for some
...This is a great lip balm, unfortuneatly it is only out at christmas time and it usually sells out as soon as it's on the shelves.
**Packaging**
It comes in a small round tub with a lid that comes off completely from the tub. It has a creamy coloured sticker on the lid which has gold writing on it that says Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lip Balm, it also has the new green Body Shop logo on it too.
**Fragrance & Taste**
It's frgarance is of vanilla but it does smell slightly different to regualr vanilla products, i guess thats the spice bit! It does taste lovely, but i wouldn't advise that you eat it straight out the tub, not too good for your health i think.
**Key Ingredients**
Vitamin E which is an antioxidant and this helps to nourish and protect your lips. Beeswax which conditions the lips and helps lock in moisture. Lanolin which...

Vanilla Spice wrapped Soap
Review of The Body Shop Vanilla Spice Wrapped Soap by
paulathomson89
Advantages: Smells brilliant
Disadvantages: Only out at christmas time
...This is one of the Body Shop's many soaps and has not failed to disapoint. It has a wonderful fragrance and comes wrapped in gorgeous paper so it would be great for a gift for someone or as a stocking filler. It smells like the vanilla soap that they stock all year round but it does have that extra some thing which makes it very festive. It contains glycerin which cleanses your skin. it doesn't dry your skin out, which is a problem that i always seems to have with soap. The first time i used it i was amazed at how smooth it left my skin and i could still smell it on my skin quite a while after my shower, which pleasantly surprised me. It is something that i would reccomend and it really is a great luxury, plus your bathroom smells great when it's in there. it normally costs £3 but it's in the sale at the moment half price so...

Vanilla Body Butter - good enough to eat
Review of The Body Shop Vanilla Spice Body Butter by
BlueAndWhiteOwl
Advantages: scent, moisturising properties, luxurious, customer service
Disadvantages: Limited edition product and not available in 50ml
...This is part of a new special range at the Body Shop for the upcoming festive season - the range includes hand wash, shower gel, soal, bath melt and home fragance oil.
Being a fan of the Body Shop's body butters, and a regular user of their Vanilla Eau de Toilette, I decided to try this product as it was a new scent. I'd previously been using a cheaper moisturiser scented with vanilla which had just run out.
***The smell***
The smell is INCREDIBLE. It is obviously vanilla, but it also contains undertones of cinnamon, orange and ginger. Its a true Christmas scent, heady, musky, warm and spicy. The wonderful thing about this product is that the scent comes from natural sources and is not artificial, so you know you are getting the real thing.
***The ingredients***
Since this is the first review of this product, I have included the full...

See you in hell, dry skin!
Review of The Body Shop Cranberry Body Butter by
Angelil
Advantages: Extremely effective, wonderful natural scents, attractive packaging
Disadvantages: Perhaps
...butter with your fingers after showering and moisturise liberally wherever required (though perhaps somewhat obviously, not on the face). The product absorbs well and is easy to rub in.
--Appearance--
In the pot, the colours seem very natural and without additional enhancers. On the body, they are invisible once fully rubbed in.
--Scent--
All of the scents that I've tested so far (the limited editions cranberry and plum, and the now defunct also limited edition vanilla spice) have seemed very natural, rather than being sickly or artificial.
--Longevity--
The scents linger nicely and the fast-acting moisturiser keeps you feeling smooth all day.
--How does your body feel afterwards?--
My feet had taken a serious shredding while I was working all day every day in the run up to Christmas, so they needed some TLC. I popped some moisturising...

Yo Ho Ho And A Bottle Of Rum!!
Review of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum by
daylehall
Advantages: Tastes delicious, highly versatile
Disadvantages: Not available all over the country
...I don't actually drink that much anymore but on a recent night out, I was reminded of just how much I like Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum.
Captain Morgan
Sir Henry Morgan, better known as Captain Morgan was born in Wales in 1635 and was a successful buccaneer. In 1674 he was knighted by King Charles II and in 1690, he became the governor of Jamaica. In 1944 the Seagram Company began producing rum under the name of Captain Morgan Rum Company.
Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
Spiced rum is very different to the usual white and dark rum. To be honest, I don't really enjoy the taste of alcohol (although I enjoy the effects) and I find that some of the other rums taste far too alcoholic for me. However, Spiced Rum is so drinkable as you really can't taste the alcohol content, just a nice mix of rum and spices, with an underlying hint of vanilla...

Bath and Body Works paradise in UK
Review of Bath & Body Works (Shop) by
Connoisseur_Haggler
Advantages: variety of fresh aromas, scents, candles, 3 for 2 offers, FREE Gift wrapping
Disadvantages: limited stores in UK, US chain
...to offer a FREE colourful gift wrapping service throughout the year!!
The items are reasonably priced from £1.30 upwards for small candles, or raspberry anti-bacterial hand lotion for £3.00 for example. They always seem to have "3 for 2 offers" in Store also. So I chose this opportunity to pick up one of my favourite blends there; from the Warm Vanilla range, shower gel, body lotions and potions and silkening Salt Scrub, most cost £5 and the cheapest one is free!
There were a lot of seasonal aromas and candles around too such as a brown toffee cloured candle called "kitchen spice" which smells sweet, a mix of sticky toffee and cinammon..kind of a home baking smell. There were other less sweet aromas around too such as Lemon Sorbet, French Vanilla, Citrus etc..
They have already started their sale on Christmas/seasonal brands on 23rd Dec...

Elegant and exotic
Review of Chanel No.5 Eau De Parfum Spray by
bbrown116
Advantages: Beautiful scent which works well on most skin types
Disadvantages: A little expensive...
...:
The perfume is excellent worn alone, or worn with other No 5 products. It also combines well with most other floral or spice body lotions (especially those with a damask rose scent, which really compliments it well). To emphasise the spice, combine with a small amount of a male scent (not too much!). No 5 is an excellent base with which to experiment, as long as you only use two differently scented products at once.
Recommendation:
Suitable for women of most ages and personalities, although it may be a little too powerful for the very young. I would recommend this perfume as the queen of all gifts from men to women, or as an excellent way for a woman to treat herself to a little extra luxury in her life. I find that wearing the perfume is excellent for times when I need a little extra confidence in myself (at parties, on bad days and when giving...

Why discontinue all the popular ranges
Review of The Body Shop (Shop) by
bry21
Advantages: Pleasant and reliable stores
Disadvantages: Going downhill and mainstream
...I have loved the body shop for years. As a teenager i used to go through bottles of white musk at a ridiculous rate. in later years i tended towards the more subtle ananya and vanilla I am now gutted to find that these ranges have now been discontinued.
The Body Shop's ranges of shampoos and conditioner have also been discontinued, now favoring a more mainstream, chemical look.
Despitethis the shop is still pleasant to look at and the staff are as helpful and knowledgable as ever.
Their make up range is of a very high quality whilst still at reasonable prices. i love their new glitter and shimmer ranges....
