If you like Madonna...

...This is basically a 'best of' collection of her earlier years (which I think were better than her more recent stuff). It has 17 tracks, most of which (if not all), were released as singles. I think most people will know at least nine or ten of them. They include: Holiday, Like a Virgin, Material Girl, Vogue, Into the Groove and La Isla Bonita. Good value as you can get it fairly cheaply and you'll probably know most of the songs the first time you listen to it. It also includes a mini biography inside. Buy it if....... you like Madonna's earlier (80's) songs....

Starting off as a young girl and then slowly the tracks starts to get a litle more raunchy and also you start to see her mature as she gets older. I have a lot of favourite tracks on this album, Crazy For You has got to be one of my all time favourites though, a ballad in which Madonna sings extremely, shows how talented she is, and the lyrics I find are absolutely brilliant. The song itself goes through the motions of when two people are together alone, and in love, and that you only have to kiss someone to find out how much they are...

...So often Greatest Hits compilations fail to deliver, usually providing the biggest hits but not always the hardcore fan's favourites or the other popular tunes. This one though, is the best compilation I have ever heard, and it even features a (free) bonus CD featuring some brilliant mixes by greats such as Norman Cook and C.J. Mackintosh. Everything is here - the classics like "Can I Kick It?" and "Bonita Applebum" - and it is so refreshing to see that huge hits like these have not lost any appeal and have not become a commercialised standard sound. Awesome. There's even Q-Tip's solo track "Vivrant Thing" which was a nice feature of the album. If you like funk, dance, hip-hop or rap or something you can just chill out and enjoy in any mood, then you cannot go far wrong with this awesome album....

It's alright........

...Geri Halliwell's first album is a pretty average affair. The best track on the album has to be "Mi Chico Latino" which sounds alot like Madonna's single "La isla bonita". The albums highlights are definitly the more upbeat tracks, "Look at me", "Bag it up", etc. And the slower songs, "Goodnight Kiss", "Someone's watching over me", let the album down slightly. Geri's voice without the other spicies is poor and not really strong enough to go alone as a solo artist. But overall this is a pretty average attempt from the ex- ginger spice - but something i'm sure all spice girls fans will love....

...Hot Shot was released by reggae artist Shaggy in 2000 and done really well in the album charts at the time, this is a really good album and has a lot of memorable songs, including the most famous 'It wasnt me' and 'Angel'. Hot Shot is a funky, sexy and cool mix of tracks, and is in my opinion Shaggys best album. You can buy this album in most good music stores for around the £5 mark which is a really good deal if you a fan of Shaggy or are into reggae style music. The track listings for Hot Shot is: 1.)
