Disadvantages: delivery time is not clear - phone sales reps have bad attitude (or at least the one that I spoke to did)

...hadn't ordered this book instead of the one that I wanted and it turned out that I was right and they had sent the wrong book. Well, after a few calls to an "bad attitude" customer service rep and after they had told me that the book that I really wanted would take another 10 days I decided to cancel the order and request that my credit card be refunded. I still needed the book! I called my local book store "Baytree Books" in Waterlooville - they ordered it and the next day it was ready to be picked up. So what did I gain? What did I loose? I lost my confidence in Amazon for one - although it has to be said that on all the other occasions my orders were completed on time and without mistakes. Sure they stock millions of books, including the latest best sellers, to hard to get hold of books, and better still most book are at least a pound cheaper, than the high street. I would call Amazon a entertainment retailer, because they sell products that we use for entertainment purposes. All products are arranged into categories, which are: Books: As I've said the book section is huge, and no other book store could touch Amazon is selection and price. They are always lots of special offers in the book section, at the moment you can get 3 best selling paperbacks for a mere £10. ...The Disney Store is a shop that sells Disney merchandise. There are Disney Stores across the UK and indeed across the world. There are Disney Stores in Disney World and Disney Land. If you have never been in a Disney Store you will be amazed at the different types of products that are usually always in stock. Although I must say I think you either love or hate the Disney Store. My husband doesn't understand the appeal of purchasing a Disney character bear for £20 when you can buy another bear somewhere else for half the price. Money Saving Store!

Advantages: Great bargains to be had.

My boyfriend joked (well at least I think he was joking) that my eyes lit up when I saw the store, because it was one whole penny cheaper than shopping in Poundland. Advantages: Its a real experience

Advantages: Full of fascinating information about Wilde's life and love of books
Disadvantages: None really, except maybe best enjoyed by those with some prior knowledge of Wilde

Disadvantages: A little difficult to adjust to the changing style of writing

Tweenies Book

Advantages: children will enjoy it
Disadvantages: none unless your child wants you to read it about 10 times a day

...I got this book from a book club for my eldest and now my youngest likes to look at it. It's a hard back book with each page inside being double thin card so that the pull out pictures are fitted in the middle of them. The book is called 'Come Back Colours' because Doodles (The red dog) has lost its colour and so have all the Tweenies toys. The front cover has a picture of the youngest Tweenie Jake and the colourless Doodles, when you open the book you see a picture of the other Tweenies (Milo, Bella and Fizz) on the opposite page is Jake with his special cape opening his arms to the colourless Doodles. The story starts ' One day, Jake put on his special coloured cape.' His job was to look after the colours but where have Doodles colours gone? Jake comes to the rescue waves his arms and says 'Colours come and colours go...

...There are not too many General Stores about these days but one that stands out for quality and value is undoubtedly Wilkinsons mor affectionately known as WILCO'S. Here you will find a whole range of goods from household cleaning materials to bubble bath and gardening products to pet food. In fact you can buy just about anything for the home, family or garden from here. Wilkinson's can be compared to how Woolworth's were a few years ago and shopping there is a truely pleasurable experience. I regularly purchase goods from them and have no complaints about the quality or price. They are competetive in price with other local retailers and you will always find a bargain there. Wilkinsons stores are springing up all around now, until they built their Chelmsford Store friends of mine regularly made the trek to Harlow to shop...

The Disney Store

Advantages: Great for all ages and a wide range of products
Disadvantages: Can be pricey

...I have loved going into the Disney Stores since I was young and, as I am now mid-30's (not revealing my exact age here!), just proves that the magic of the Disney store is for the whole family. There is not a Disney store where I am, they are mainly around the larger cities - near me (I live in Scotland), I think the closest shops are in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Pre-children, I always loved going to the Disney store whenever I visited Glasgow or Edinburgh and I would buy things to put aside for friends' children for Christmas and birthday presents. Now that I have a family it's nice to take them to the stores too whenever we are away.
