...Since writing this review, i have been on three more Eurocamp holidays and all i can say is they have been even better, I will update on those ones shortly. Sorry a bit long this one but so much to say on it.. I discovered Eurocamp by accident last year while searching on the internet trying to find a good family holiday but at a low affordable price. We are quite a large family comprising of myself, my husband and 4 young very active sons of 10yrs, 8yrs, 7yrs and an 18 month old, so this was not an easy task. We have had many good holidays in Britain but wanted to go abroad as we never have together as a family before, mainly due to the cost. Family Holiday with a toddler and baby

Advantages: Great Directrions, Cheap if booked in advance
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

...We went for our first holiday as a family of 4 in June this year. We spent 7 days with Keycamp at there Menhirs site in Normandy. It was FANTASTIC. We booked in October last year and the total cost for ferry and mobile home was in the region of £500. With Keycamp you can choose from a number of 'camping' options. The basic and cheapest being their Canvas tents, the basic mobile home 'Classic Midi', followed by Supernovas and Villa Grande. We opted for the Supernova which consisted of a lounge come dining room, kitchen, bathroon (shower) and 2 bedrooms. The Villa Grandes did look more luxiourious and come with a micorwave -BUT - they are more expensive as well. We had a double room (bed, wardrobe and chest of draws but not enough room to swing a cat!). Our 2 year old slept on the the bottom bunk in the small bedroom...

Eurocamp Holidays

Advantages: Flexibilty, choice, good accomodation, great sites, Eurocamp reps on site, loyalty discount
Disadvantages: really cant think of any

...We have been on Eurocamp holidays for a number years and have three children under 12. What attracted us was the flexibility of booking ie you can start your holiday on a Wednesday, so if you have a budget you can travel cheaper on a weekday ferry or Eurostar. So far we have stayed in campsites in Normandy, the Vendee, twice in Germany and Switzerland using their mobile homes. Whats really nice is that after a hard days travel, there is someone on site to help you get settled in and to answer your questions, considering you are staying in a new area. Eurocamp can be a little more expensive, however the sites they choose are excellent-believe me we got lost once and visited a few others in France and locations are always top grade.The standard of the mobile homes are also excellant. Lovely Family Holiday

EXPRESS by HOLIDAY INN great for family value.

Advantages: Good location but not in City centre.
Disadvantages: None if booked for what it is for.

...We were to attend a Family Wedding, the reception to be held at the Marriott Hotel Peterborough. Needed a good value Hotel for the group and found this Hotel was just across the road from the Marriott. Booked thru BOOKING.COM and got three rooms. 1 Double, 1 Room for two adults and one child, 1 Room for two adults and two children. The Room prices were all the same £45 per night, with breakfast. Children sharing a room with two adults come free. We were staying two nights Friday and Saturday as wedding was at 12 o'clock so did not want to rush on the Sat morning. We wre due to arrive at 8 Fri Evening, I emailed this to the hotel and received a swift reply that this had been noted on our reservation. Haven holidays, hafan y mor or less, wales inc disabled family.

Advantages: have disabled accessible caravans.
Disadvantages: expensive. poor activity opening hours. non accessible beach. poor car parking.

...I have experienced various haven parks over the years and although never wonderful compared to similar holiday parks abroad for family holiday they still offer accomodation for families with 4/5 kids and disabled parents. This year we decided the best of them may be hafan y mor in wales, possibly because we have to travel from N Ireland and its handy to holyhead port. Reservations As we needed disabled accessible accomodation we have to ring to reserve and therefore miss out on a lot of the discounts the normal person avails of. the designated disabled officer was very pleasant and helpful and did select a good site location given the options and did return our calls as promised. Great for a family holiday

...For our family holiday we looked at a range of options to try to find somewhere that was both affordable and also had a number of the things to keep our 4 year old occupied, and also to keep us adults ocupied. I found out about Vauxhall on line, and the wide range of amenities as well as being close to Great Yarmouth and the beach were key. Also we have been to the South West many times and felt like a change. This site seemed to have a lot indoors, swimming, play areas, entertainment, food outlets etc, and this is something to think about if the weather is poor. Booking was very simple, you ring them and discuss your requirements, and you are sent a simple form to fill in to finalise the booking. ...We first went Euro-camping about 15 years ago when I our children were 5 and 1 (blimey how they've grown). Basically we were skint but wanted a holiday abroad, and Eurocamp seemed to fit the bill. We were so impressed that we have been at least every other year since - although we have now progressed to mobile homes rather than tents. So how does it work? Booking This is dead easy, although when you first look in the brochure it might seem a bit daunting.
