...Me and my mum shop at Boots, mainly to get my deodorant, her shampoo or my dad's toothpaste. (Well, we all use toothpaste!) When I was about three, my mum stumbled across the Boots Advantage Card, the reward card system for Boots. Now we visit more so I decided it was time to write a review for the Boots Advantage Card. HOW EASY IS IT TO GET POINTS? You get four points for every pound that you spend, and each point is worth 1p. It doesn't sound like much, but it pays off if you shop there quite a bit. RANGE OF BENEFITS We have got with our reward points...a chocolate bar on one purchase and some toothpaste, shampoo and a facial care product on another purchase. Disadvantages: Keep it on you at all times!!! Can be forgotten!

...After always being stuck for cash and never knowing where my next mascara or "Meal Deal" was coming from I decided to look into the Boots advantage card scheme. Currently any advantage card holder can claim four points for every one pound they spend. Later these points once accumilated over time can be used to purchase other products in store beit food, cosmetics, shampoo; just make sure you stipulate you wish to pay via your reward card at the till. Each point received is equivalent to that of a penny therefore a balance of 525 would infact total £5.25. The total points received and accumilated can normally be found towards the bottom of a purchase receipt. Advantages: lovely treats for me

...Boots Advantage Card I have had my Boots Advantage Card for years. I think over 5 years. I love it. I buy all my families toiletries from Boots and collect the points. It is really easy to do. Just get your card from the store and whenever you buy something give the check out lady your card. If your like me and change your handbag every other week and forget your card just ask them to validate your receipt and then you have 31 days to take the receipt in and get it added to your total. Each time you add to the card the check out lady tells you how many points you have and basically if you have 500 points that means you have £5.00, you don't have to be Carol Vorderman to work it out!! They also send you some vouchers through the post for extra Advantage Points and money off goods in store. It's an excellent way to save up...

...The Boots advantage card is one of the best loyalty cards I have experienced. It is simple to use, I personally find the points accumulate quickly, and they are very easy to redeem. It's easy to know what your points are worth as each point is worth 1p, so when you see your points balance at the end of each receipt you can quickly calculate how much you have available to spend in store. Another advantage is the free Health & Beauty magazine you get for using your advantage card. I purchase a boots meal deal quite frequently for my lunch, and by using the card, if I buy 5 meal deals within a month, my sixth one is free (during that same month). Occasionally you also get discount vouchers at the checkout for various products, all from just using your card at the checkout. Having an advantage card saves me money but also...

...The Boots Advantage Card is a real loyalty card. I think you should get one, now. I base this on the fact that I have had my Boots Advantage Card since the very early days. In fact, my Boots Advantage Card is so old that Moses issued me with it! Joking apart, a member of staff at Boots commented one day on the fact that my Boots Advantage Card was one of the earliest issued. Over the years I have saved a substantial amount of money by using my Boots Advantage Card. At first, due to incredibly stupid and antique rules, Boots could not add Advantage Points to medicines. This included the run-of-the-mill over-the-counter medicines such as cough mixtures, painkillers and the like. ...This is one of a few store loyalty cards where you can't lose out as it's free to get one and there are no obligations to fulfil. The Advantage Card is a plastic, credit-sized card, that offers you a gateway of store offers. When you purchase something from Boots, be it make-up, toiletries, vitamins, jewellery etc, you are rewarded with points that go on your card. For every £1 you spent, you get 4 points. ...I think it's time for another review again! This time on my favorite loyalty card from Boots, The Advantage card. And yes, it really is an advantage. So what is the Advantage card for anyone who doesn't know. The advantage card is a way of collecting points in Boots. For every £1 you spend you gain 4 point of the card. One point is equivalent to 1p. Doesn't sound much but believe me it soon adds up. The points can then be spent on any item around the store with a * on the price tag. There are over 27,000 products to redeem your points on. A lot of mums use the card to buy nappies with, but please note that you can only spend points on Huggies and Boot's own branded nappies. If it's dinnertime, why not treat yourself to a free lunch? Or maybe you wanted to save up a little more and purchase something from the make-up counters...

Another loyalty card in my purse

Advantages: Quick to collect points if you shop there reguarly
Disadvantages: Slow to collect points if you don't shop there reguarly

...We all know companies want are business and want to keep are business. One of the best ways they have found is by using loyalty cards, you spend money in their shops, their give you points and you can convert you points in to gifts. I feel Boots only have one main competitor and that is Superdrug. Superdrug doesn't seem to carry such a large range as Boots but are slightly cheaper. Due to having a larger selection of products they also draw in customers by having a loyalty card, the Boots Advantage card. I got my cards years ago and over the years the amount I have spent in Boots has changed. It has gone up and down; when I was living at home I hardly went in to a supermarket so I would regularly go into Boots to get everything I needed cosmetically.
