The boots way is the only way

I'm always a bit apprehensive about buying cheap conditioner as I frequently dye my hair and need to deep condition it every time I wash it, so the only reason I bought the Boots basics conditioner was because it was getting towards the end of the month and I was skint. At just 46p a bottle I thought this was gonna be useless but to my surprise it's the best quality conditioner I've ever used!! On opening the bottle you are greeted by a very faint smell which isn't much unlike mens showergel. The great thing is that they sell name brands of products that are well known and respected in the beauty market and include so many things you want to buy. In fact, I sometimes go into Boots just to browse at the products and get lots of different ideas of things that I would like to buy. They have a big section of make up counters/cases where lots of different products are sold such as Maybelline, Revlon etc. Here they stock pretty much the whole range where you can try the testers and then buy what you like. Boots sell all the usual brands; such as Maybelline, Rimmel, L'Oreal, Astor, etc in stands, but in the larger branches, they have beauty counters for the more expensive brands like Max Factor, Lancome, Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, etc. They also have a few own brands: Natural Collection is one of my favourites, with all the ingredients not being tested on animals. As you walk in, there is the usual array of perfume counters. Whenever I see a perfume counter, mym mind automatically harps back to that good old Mr Bean sketch whereby he crawls through this section of a department store on all fours! But once you get past this then the rest of the shop is easy enough to navigate, as there are overhead signs telling you of the general areas in which to head for when looking for your items. Boots in my own opinion is the best value out of all of those shops that are llike this one in general, in particular because of the range of offers they carry. Not Such A Lovely Pair Of Coconuts

...in most branches of Boots for £1.29/300ml. Although this would appear quite reasonable I feel that if something doesn't do its job properly then it isn't worth a bean. This product was one of the Boots' own brand range. Usually I have found Boots products to be most acceptable and often very reasonably priced, especially where BOGOFs and 3for2s are concerned but I wouldn't buy this again, nor would I try any of the other conditioners on the basis that the "dry hair" formula should be the most luxurious. I have just had a look at the Boots website and it says about this product: "With natural extracts of coconut and almond, Boots Conditioner is specially formulated to moisturise and smooth dry hair for softness, shine and tangle free hair." Yeah Right! As I am feeling quite generous I have given this conditioner 2 stars...
