"Get Born!"

Advantages: A return to good old rock'n'roll

Bukowski: Born Into This Film Review

Advantages: It's Bukowski!
Disadvantages: It's got Bono in it!

...never really achieve a better understanding of the writer than the one we had before. This may be because Bukowski actually was a drunk, a womanizer and a frequent gambler, as first thought, or it may be because the film doesn't really delve any deeper than this. Whereas I won't deny that Born Into This is an interesting account of the author in question, in places it does feel as if it was made to portray the influence Bukowski had on the lives of others -- Bono, Sean Penn and Tom Waits each give their story -- rather than go for broke and uncover the man behind the writing pen. Having just read his novel Women, there's a contrast in his chauvinistic sexual tendencies with some of the most touching moments he spent living in isolation, which can be seen in some of his poetry. Review of Bukowski - Born Into This (DVD)

I was born lippy!

Advantages: Smells great, has a nice taste to it, moisturises well, and lasts ages.
Disadvantages: None really, well apart from the fact you will want them all!

...but I opted for their Born Lippy range and went for the mango and peach flavour. I don't know why exactly I just liked the sound of it to be honest. They also do good old mint, strawberry and raspberry as well as the less expected passionberry, watermelon and satsuma flavours. I have included pictures of them all so that should you decide to go and treat yourself to one you will be able to find it more quickly and get out of there without being tempted by all the other lovelies that are bound to catch your eye. It comes in rather plain packaging, a small see through tub with a screw on lid. The lid has a round sticker on it, which is pink orange and yellow. It has the Body Shop logo on and says BORN LIPPY MANGO AND PEACH LIP BALM 10ml The base has a small white label which has on it the bar code, recyclable symbol, use within 12...

Yet another review on Mauritius...Quatres Bornes, the posh town!

Advantages: Nice clean place!
Disadvantages: not as popular as Port-Louis (the main capital)

...During my stay in Mauritius, a local friend of ours took us to Quatres-Bornes so I could pick up some paperwork from my travel agency. Mauritius is in fact separated into districts, and each district is made of either of towns or villages. Quatres-Bornes is found at the very centre of the island, in the district of Plaines Wilhems. It can be considered as one of the main towns in the island- even if it cannot be compared to the City of Port-Louis. Known as the "Flower Town", it boasts of its aristocracy and distinguished architecture which is highlighted by a vivid landscape and mountain scenery. Since we were staying in the northern part of the island, I would say that it took us around one hour by car to reach the town. I was really impressed by the natural Charm of Quatres-Bornes, and it has some nice shopping centers and stores. But...

The dolls are approx 43 cm and you can feed them (Only use Baby born food), You can change them as the food does go through the doll and they wet themselves, they Cry real tears too. ...which range anywhere from £5.00 - £20+. The age for this doll is 3+. You can buy additional nappies and food that sells for around £2.99 for a packet of 5. Now moving on to the doll itself, you can feed it (with special baby born food), it can wee on her potty or wet its nappy, it drinks from a bottle, it can be bathed, cry real tears and because it has joints in arms legs and head it is fully agile. Feeding baby born, well this was a chore in itself, first of all you have to make up the food, which is simple really, you just fill the dish to water mark and then empty contents of 1 packet of baby born food, and stir well untill all lumps have dissolved, then you need to hold the doll at an angle whilst giving it the food, (now i found this akward how does anyone expect a 3 year old to do this), then there is the fact that after...
