...Bosch appliances have the edge when it comes to design and usability, its easy to clean, safe to use and looks good. We were slightly concerned about the controls being accessible to our two kids at the front but the child safety lock / gas shut off works a treat. Cooking on it is good to, it seems to kick out more heat than my last hob making the job of boiling a saucepan of water for spuds or pasta a quicker evolution. Bosch gave me a free 2 year warranty just for registering my product, I'm not sure how long this deal is running for but it made the purchase even more pleasing. The hob is a little expensive but its worth it. I have no problem in recommending this to any prospective buyer.... Read review

...Our secondhand fridge and freezer had served us well for 3 years - but 3 years of chunks of ice in the fridge never mind the freezer meant it was time to buy a Frost Free Fridge Freezer. Of course everyone tells you that Bosch is the best for kitchen equipment but experiencing the slick design, and the beautifully chilled food first hand is another matter. The interior of this fridge freezer is large with enough compartments and shelves to make keeping your fridge and freezer organised an easy task. There are cheaper frost free models out there but the Bosch models use a " new revolutionary Bosch ‘Multi Airflow System’ " which disperses the cold air throughout the appliance interior allowing for goods to be filled in anywhere you have the space. ...Having never owned a dishwasher before, I only had the opinions of friends who do. I have had the machine for 2 months and now wish I'd had one sooner. It is simple to load and the user instructions are simple enough for a child to follow. When in use it is quiet enough to hold a conversation in the same room without raising your voice. The cleaning quality is great, but does depend on what product you use; cheaper supermarket brands are not as thorough when dealing with heavy soiled, dried on food matter. This machine is all you could wish for and once again proves how great Bosch appliances are both in looks and value for money.... Read review

Disadvantages: Too many wash options!

...have previously had machines which made plenty of noise (Whirlpool etc...). The Bosch unit however is quiet and typically causes us no bother in terms of having it on whilst we are around the house. Vibration from the machine is also very low given the special dampening system I understand Bosch use. The machine seems to do its job very well. We have had no problem with the wash results or the removal of stains. I play a lot of sport and it does a great job on my football and gym kit! A typical cotton wash cycle at 40 degrees takes around 70 minutes. The machine is a A+ rated appliance and its use of water whilst not being the lowest for its class is still very good. The controls for the machine are very easy to use which a main dial and four main buttons. The electronic display shows you the spin speed, wash type; estimated time and water... Read review

...Well after 2.5 years and many breakdowns i have finally given up on my hoover washing machine and taken delivery of a bosch maxx 1100 spin washing machine. The machine cost me £420 from a local supplier,it is available for only £343 was the cheapest price i found via www.pricerunner.com.I decided to purchase it from a local shop due to their excellent customer service free delivery and they take away the old machine too. The bosch maxx so called i believe due to the fact that it takes a 6kg load rather than the industry average of 5kg. As you probably know for a while now all electrical appliances are rated for their energy efficiency from A-E A being the most efficient and E being the most wasteful.Well the bosch maxx scores A on both energy efficiency and uses very little water per load. ...Freezers are hardly an exciting topic of conversation are they? We don't spend long hot summers sat around the table discussing the ins and outs of the freezing power of our latest purchase. I'm no different but became a bit of an appliance bore when deciding on which new freezer I should buy to slot into our garage. I did consider a cabinet freezer but even the smallest was far too tall and wide so after careful consideration and a tape measure in hand I bought the Bosch GUD 15A40 and boy oh boy is it GUD. Bloody expensive as well, I was relieved of £245 - £225 for the freezer and £20 for delivery. The Bosch only just fitted my size criteria. Height wasn't a problem at 82cm and the width was ok at 60cm but the depth was really a tight squeeze. I had 57cm of room and the Bosch is 55cm deep. We use our outside freezer to store meats... ...OK - I'll put my hands up and admit it - we have a lot of Bosch kitchen equipment. In fact - until earlier this year when our jolly expensive Bosch built-in oven broke - we had *only* Bosch kitchen appliances. We used to have a Bosch WFL series washing machine - which we ran probably every day (some days it ran *all day*) for 5 years almost dead - when it died and need replacing - now - I should set the scene as most people are already thinking "5 years old and it need replacing - stuff that!" We have two dogs, a toddler that has been ill a lot and allergies in the family. This means that we wash a lot of stuff - and we wash it regularly. The dogs are short hair and have blankets on the sofa(s) and bed and bring in quite a bit of dirt. The toddler has been ill a lot, and the dogs tend to sleep on the bed during the day - so... There is so much importance placed on the good old washer and if you get that right the rest of the appliances should be the same make.
