Best Electric Mower on the Market
Review of Bosch Rotak 43 by
ping0
Advantages: Lightweight, Cuts when wet, Bosch design
Disadvantages: Full width on/off bar
...it usable by left or right hands, but I find it a little uncomfortable, and did get a blister after 90 minutes use.
I haven't found this machine for sale in shops, but there are plenty of internet companies selling it for around £140-£150, so it compares well with the smaller 40cm retail edition.
It is well worth paying the little bit extra for a larger blade as this will cut down mowing time in the long run.
And of course, the mower comes with the standard 2 year Bosch guarantee, which can't be bad.
I would recommend this mower to anyone wanting a cabled machine for a large garden. (And I believe Bosch also make a rechargable battery version of this.)
All in all, the best cabled mower on the market!!!...

Review of Bosch World 718 by
m_kingdom
Advantages: Easy to use, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Despite 27 ring tones, none is quite loud enough when in crowded places
...The Bosch World 718 tips the scales at 189g with its battery. It measures 141(h) x 53(w) x 24(d)mm, with a 131mm whip aerial that closes down to just 28mm. Apart from the standard 12 number keys, there are 3 other buttons to play with, arranged in a row below the four-line LCD display. The 718 is data/fax compatible, and it also fully supports cell broadcast services, and SMS. Another executive facility is the calculator. Unfortunately, the user’s phone directory is restricted to the numbers and names that you can fit onto your network’s mini SIM card. The 10 numbers most recently dialled, received and missed are memorised. The battery has an adequate standby time. I find when in a crowded place I can’t always hear the ring, even when on the highest volume. A vibrating battery is available as an optional extra. The battery...

Bosch Around The House!
Review of Bosch GML 24 V-CD by
redfox26
Advantages: Musical extention lead
Disadvantages: hubby may take the battery for his drill.
...being me, plugged it in took it outside and plugged my lawn mower into it and wacked up the sound (which was quite good as i could hear it over the mower, it even has a bosch sound button to boost the base). And i have been using it ever since.
WHAT I PERSONALLY USE IT FOR :
I use the Bosch GML 24 V, as a clock,
radio ( you can plug an mp3 player in to it with a 3.5 mm jack plug lead),
extention lead (3 meter reach),
extra sockets ( charge phones, lawn mower, hedge trimmer ... ect ..... ect.
i also use it as something to stand on when reaching for stuff ( i\'m only 5 ft 1in).
PRODUCT INFORMATION :
Battery conpartment, intergrated standard bosch charger, charges all battery packs (12v - 24v,NiCd & NiMH)
3m Cord with cord wrap, 12v socket (e.g. for charging mobile phones), Auxilary input (e.g. for connecting an external cd player)

Next time I'll get a Nokia!
Review of Bosch 909s by
Big-Al
Advantages: Great design, small, light
Disadvantages: Poor battery life and menu design
...I bought a Bosch 909 a few months ago, and though I am still impressed with the styling (brushed aluminium front, blue backlight for screen and keys), I am not really pleased with the phone.
I picked this phone because I wanted something small and light, but with a reasonable battery life. The phone is certainly small and light, but it fails miserably on the battery score. My old Nokia battery lasted for the best part of a week, whereas this rarely survives two days, even with very little use. I think that this may be a result of the network coverage, as I got better battery life on a recent holiday in Switzerland.
Another problem with the phone is the menu system, which is terrible. I find it difficult to find and store numbers, and whereas I would often use the alarm on my old Nokia, I acoid this whenever possible...

Basic but individual, robust and cheap
Review of Bosch 509E Dual by
sparkydog
Advantages: Cheap, robust, simple to use, well-spaced keys, lights up!, 27 ringtones, calculator function
Disadvantages: No vibrating or predictive text, a little large, battery life only average, power indicator misleading, messages easy to delete
...I am no mobile expert and I just wanted a functional phone that would do the job. I chose the Bosch 509e because it was cheap, on the Orange p-a-y-g network which I wanted, and I liked the looks. Also because I looked at the feature list for other phones costing up to three times as much as couldn't see anything major they offered that the Bosch didn't- having seen friends phones, I still can't.
I have to say I've been very happy with it. It's simplicity itself to use. I rarely needed to check the manual as its all pretty self-explanatory but when I did need to consult it, I found it clear and easy to understand.
The battery life seems adequate if nothing special- it lasts about 2-3 days with light use for me. The battery indicator is a bit misleading- it tends to stay on full for a long time and then suddenly drop down, and if you...

Nice but Niggly
Review of Bosch 909s Silver by
m_kingdom
Advantages: Light and slim
Disadvantages: Earpiece slightly muffled, as is transmitted speech
...This handset is just 112 x 50 x 17mm and weighs in at 109g. The display is four-line by 15 character graphical LCD with battery/signal strength meters. The backlight is a stunning shade of azure blue, which makes a pleasant change from the normal LCD displays. This phone is dual band, supports EFR speech coding, SMS text messaging, cell broadcast and has the full complement of call barring and divert functions. One-touch dialling is available for the voice mailbox and eight further numbers.
The battery life is superb. All in all, it’s one of the best looking mobile phone around, but the little niggling operational annoyances add up over time....

Vey reliable phone
Review of Nokia 5110 by
stevie-boy
Advantages: Very reliable. Good features. Easy to use.
Disadvantages: Can't download ringtones. Keypad a bit flimsy
...allows you to download operator logos to cover your network operator symbol (mine currently shows a wallace and gromit logo). This feature is again good to personalize your phone.
This phone has a good graphical interface so it is easy to use and also to make it easier to use it has the Navi-key which allows you to scroll down and up meaning that it eliminates the pressing of the keys so it is simpler to use.
One thing I found though is that the cheap rubber keypad used easily got worn with a lot of use, especially the cancel key. I found this a bit irritating having to buy new key pads for it. The 3310's keypad has been improved, as it features a sturdier plastic keypad.
Currently the battery life on it is a lot longer than the Bosch meaning that it only needs charging once every week - the Bosch needed charging once every two days...

A great workhorse
Review of Bosch SKT 2052 by
Poacher
Advantages: easy to work, superb cleaning, good looking,
Disadvantages: none
...This dishwasher is superb - it is quiet, efficient and cleans beautifully. Both the exterior and the interior are easy to clean and my machine looks as good today as the day it was bought. Bosch produce reliable and quality machines. I like the number of programmes it has and I also like how easy it is to work. It isn't rocket science. The salt container is easily accessible and the rinse aid compartment is handy and it is easy to see when it needs refilling. Excellent results on all programmes. I have never had a problem with it and I would recommend Bosch to anyone....

A glimpse of darkness
Review of The Black Echo - Michael Connelly by
Peachypobs
Advantages: Gritty realism
Disadvantages: None
...This is another Detective Bosch murder mystery, and in this one you get to learn more about Bosch the man, rather than Bosch the policeman.
It all starts with ‘Harry’ (short for Hieronymus) Bosch getting a call out to a murder scene. A body has been found in a drainage pipe at the Mullholland Dam, and it looks like just another drug addict who’s overdosed on heroin. That is until Bosch recognises him as Billy Meadows, someone he served with back in Vietnam.
Bosch was a tunnel rat in Vietnam, this means that he had to go down the tunnels dug by the Vietcong (the VC) and destroy them, and anyone down there. He and Billy were in the same unit together, but Bosch hasn’t seen Billy in twenty years, now he’s turned up dead and Bosch doesn’t believe it’s a simple case of a heroin overdose, he...

Well disigned Bosch Hob
Review of Bosch PHG206/207D by
drcn
Advantages: Design, Usability and safety features
Disadvantages: Cost
...Bosch appliances have the edge when it comes to design and usability, its easy to clean, safe to use and looks good. We were slightly concerned about the controls being accessible to our two kids at the front but the child safety lock / gas shut off works a treat. Cooking on it is good to, it seems to kick out more heat than my last hob making the job of boiling a saucepan of water for spuds or pasta a quicker evolution. Bosch gave me a free 2 year warranty just for registering my product, I'm not sure how long this deal is running for but it made the purchase even more pleasing. The hob is a little expensive but its worth it. I have no problem in recommending this to any prospective buyer....
