...We just gave our old Bosch dishwasher to one of our daughters and decided to buy a new one. This is it and this is what we think about it. I am a great admirer of Bosch technology. For reliability and good looks they are hard to beat. This model is no exception. We bought the white one but they are also available in silver colour. We paid £280.00 for our dishwasher. It measures 850 x 600x 600 and slides into a gap under our kitchen worktops. It is coldfill only which is another energy saving feature. It only heats the water it requires. Good if you have a combi boiler. It is rated A for washing, cleaning and drying. It is very quiet- only 52 decibels on the scale. It has 5 programmes including a 'quick wash' facility and incorporates a 1-19 hour delay timer. It is very easy to use. I like simple things that do just the job I want... Read review

Advantages: Quiet, time to finish display, drying is excellent, rinse aid & salt indicator.
Disadvantages: Wash may be a little too powerfull

...When shopping for a new dishwasher I only had two main criteria, 1 it had to have a salt and rise aid indicator, and two it had to be "A" rated, The Bosch had both, so it was the one I ordered. Having lived with the unit for a while I think it's fair to say it does everything a dishwasher should, it's simple to use but has all the functions you want, and the clever thing even tells you how long until it's done. The quick wash is a definite advantage, as you can wash up all your plates in about 25 min's about the time it takes to cook dinner, or to get to the take away and back! I only have a few reservations with it, the washing action is very strong and opening the door to quickly whilst in cycle may result in a jet of hot dirty water to the face! ...Having never owned a dishwasher before, I only had the opinions of friends who do. I have had the machine for 2 months and now wish I'd had one sooner. It is simple to load and the user instructions are simple enough for a child to follow. When in use it is quiet enough to hold a conversation in the same room without raising your voice. The cleaning quality is great, but does depend on what product you use; cheaper supermarket brands are not as thorough when dealing with heavy soiled, dried on food matter. This machine is all you could wish for and once again proves how great Bosch appliances are both in looks and value for money.... Read review

...Bosch Dishwasher SGS45E68 Overview: Our old Zanussi was coming to the end of its life and we were looking for a replacement. After shopping around and researching the different options (Which? reviews always seem to be concise and honest) we decided on a Bosch and hunted around for the best deal. The first thing I found was that even if you have a particular brand in mind the number of models available is mad and seem to be replaced every few months. I also think that dishwashers (more than washing machines say) need to be seen in the flesh as the variety of internal layouts is significant. This model had everything we were looking for in our price range and having looked around online found the showroom deal attractive and went ahead with the purchase. Advantages: Very Reliable and Very Spacious.Easy To Use

...As I am just browsing online just this morning. In the post arrived my Bosch renewal certificate of Insurance for this very machine. The Bosch SGS 43A That means we have had it two years almost to the day. It's been bliss,lovely clean,fresh dishes all the time,with its 3 programmes plus a pre-wash,this is dishwasher simplicity. We have had no problem at all with this superb white Bosch Classix dishwasher,which has been used at least once a day since we bought it. Total Reliability, and so easy to use (and clean) We actually now use it to store all the dirty dishes and saucepans inside through the day and use it late at night. So Easy,So Efficent,So Simple. Hence the kitchen is always neat and tidy,and we come down in the morning to clean dishes every time every day. It's so quiet you hardly notice it is working. Even the renewal... Read review

...This is a fantastic dishwasher. I have owned 2 dishwashers previously made by different manufactures and neither could compare to this one. It leaves the dishes spotless every time and I never have to use the rinse facility.I only use the dishwasher, on average, on alternate days,so the food has had time to dry on well!! I have never used any program except the energy saving program and find that it cleans so well that I have never tried any other. One slight downside is the lenght of time the program takes, but this is probably the same with all modern dishwashers. Bosch have and above average reliability rating in any survey conducted so I look forward too many years of trouble free use from this machine.... Read review

...We changed our kitchen late last year and indoing so changed pretty much all the appliances, we opted for this bosch model as if fitted our criteria at the time:- 1-Currys had it in stock so i could take it away. 2-It was within our budget of under £300. 3-It fitted the gap that we had left for it within the kitchen. 4-We liked the look of it. The exterior is very clean looking and smart with a little digital display letting you know how long it has left until the wash has finished. It gives you 6 different program types from econ through to hard wash and also lets you choose from 6 different temperatures which is very handy for the more delicate items that are not ment to be put through a dishwasher. ...and these are slotted into the base of the machine. It is very easy to maintain and clean, the filter catches any loose food particles. The filter is easy to remove and cleaned by rinsing it under a tap. A great advantage is the cutlery container as this is made to fit anywhere in the lower tier, and is moved around to suit the load being washed. Being slimline it does not take too long to fill, and the plates do not have a chance to dry out. The dishwasher holds 9 place settings and the quick wash manages to get everything sparkling in 30 minutes. Although the 2 hour program is excellent for saucepans and oven-ware that becomes caked with hard to remove food.
