.... Rash I hear you say, Maybe yes but only to stop the mind going into freefall and exploding. The Tick list in the mind went like this 1. Correct colour (white) 2. Decent speed (1400) 3. Price ok (£345) 4. Load ok (7kg) Blah to all the eco technicalities, if it for sale in this day and age it should be good for the environment so why pay extra for a GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN machine when it should or will be automatically anyway. The Machine I opted for Bosch WAE28467 at £345 a reasonable price with the retailer's delivery and removing the old machine it seemed ok. Although my theory may be a little blind for my own benefit this is a Green eco machine, when you open the manual. Our New Washing Machine: It's a Bosch.

Advantages: Quiet and efficient. Good bulid quality
Disadvantages: None so far

As I had owned several Bosch tools and found them incredibly reliable and of good quality, I suggested we go this time for a Bosch and having owned this machine now for around 6 months, it was certainly no mistake. We purchased the Bosch ClassiXX6 1200. We got our machine from Comet, who delivered it the following day and took away our old Hoover at no extra cost. Quiet and Powerful I was amazed at the quietness of the machine as it went through its cycle (Noise level washing (dB): 59, noise level spinning (dB): 79). With our old Hoover machine, I had often had to increase the volume of the TV when the thing went into its spin cycle. Enough said! ...I spent a good while researching a new washing machine for my new house. I wanted a quality product which would prove durable over time. My main two choices came down to Miele or Bosch. Miele have an excellent reputation however they have a cost that goes with it. Bosch also had a quality reputation but with more reasonable prices (it's only a washing machine after all). I had a chance to look at a few of there models and looked at this 1200 spin unit and the 1400 spin. Good product, but do shop around for prices

I did the usual tours of Currys, Comet etc.etc. and the prices all hovered around the £300 mark. On-line prices are around the £260 - 270 range, but I got mine from a local Euronics independent store at the bargain price of £255. With regards to the machine itself, It is the best thing since sliced bread. It has a wide range programmes to suit all types of washes including a "hand wash programme" which I have used to wash silk garments with excellent results. I have also found the "quick wash" to be of particular use for just freshening clothes up, as it only takes just under half an hour to do.
