...We've had a BOSCH WFF2001 (Not sure what's with the /L) in our kitchen for a number of years now, bought brand-new..... I think it was from SCOTTISH POWER in Scarborough, but can't remember. Prior to that, I recall the thing had come top in WHICH? magazine tests for 2 years running....... so I guess that's 2 prestigious recommendations it has (mine & theirs). It has always been 100% reliable...

...pretty small. Why did it take until about 2000 for manufacturers to start experimenting with larger drums? We could really do with a larger machine - certainly, as and when this dies, the next machine will be a Siemens 8kg capacity model. The top spin-speed being only 1000rpm is just silly. Other machines made by Bosch at the same time did 1200, and possibly even 1400 (I forget now), but this is what...

...the middle of demolishing a firethorn I'd got tired of, the B & D stopped and refused to start again, even after I'd checked it was clear of debris and changed its fuse. I suspect a burnt-out motor, and imagine it's beyond economical repair, but if anyone wants to try, let me know! I needed a new shredder pronto and after a bit of research I nipped down to Homebase where I found the Bosch AXT 2000...
