Bose..... Wow!!!

...I did not expect this level of sound quality from such a small speaker! The Bose SoundDock is a small, compact speaker system for the Ipod range. It has great looks, amzing sound quality and suprising power! There are two different sound docks.. the first one was basically a plug in speaker system just for use with the ipod, perfectly good for anyone who is looking for amazing quality. This one costs £199. The second one they bought out, which i have also got, is the same system apart from it has few extra features. It has a rechargable battery so you can listen to it on the move, it has a carry handle built into the back for ease of transportation, the dock is on a rotating platfrom so it can be made to fit flush to the dock and then open at a touch and then most importantly it has a 3.5mm Aux input that now the user is not limited...

Bose rocks

...Before i start this reveiw i want to state that the Bose soundock is an exceptional piece of kit. Before i bought mine i toyed with the idea of a lesser quality and obviously less expensive option but was lucky to hear a freinds unit before i spent any money,needless to say the difference in sound quality is like compareing a honda to a porshe. Personally i'm a convert but i will try to be unbiased. SIZE 6.65" H x 11.91" W x 6.48" D . 16.89 x 30.26 x 16.47 cm . (Basically the speaker face is slighty smaller than an A4 sheet of paper and although it is just over 6" deep, 1.5-2" is taken up by the ipod dock which makes the speaker quite slim) 4.56 lb (2.1 kg) . Bose Quietcomfort 3.

Advantages: Almost flawless sound and great superb noise cancelling technology
Disadvantages: Unlike normal headphones they always need battery to operate

Sound On long journeys; planes, trains and buses the Q3?s noise cancelling technology blocks out almost background droning sound, especially low frequencies such as engine noise. However higher frequency outside noise such as babies crying does cut through, although slightly dulled. The sound the headphones produce is crystal clear which at times can be frustratingly so, as it picks up every minute imperfection in original recordings or bodged CD rips. The bass is clear, precise and almost without blur. The only down side would be that the sound sometimes comes across as bland and clinical. ...At not less than £300 that too with such high degree of low high frequency response, it is just ruthless exploitation of brand reputation and popular trust. Simply coercion, but please just have the patience of going through the review. Yes these people can afford to do that, the reason is once you have a feel of it you really won?t rue your wallet getting thin. I would not be at all surprised if somebody come and says that why Bose QuietComfort 3 and not Sennheiser, they are tinier and still cheaper even their noise-canceling technology is not bad. BOSE: Music for the soul

Docking the ipod is also a bit of a fiddle too, it feels a bit loose which makes you think it isn't docked properly. when you switch it on the remote works fine but the buttons don't always activate it first time. My biggest gripe however is.... the sound quality.... poor, total disappointment. Obviously you are playing mp3's and mp4's so they aren't the highest quality tracks, but the Bose shaped speakers just don't seem to have the usual Bose ooompff you would even get from a Bose radio. Since buying the system it has had minimal use because of this, it was bought to use in the office but we have gone back to using our stereo system or playing mp3's via our computer speakers. This may just be a dud unit I've ended up with but other people I know who have bought the Bose Dock don't seem particularly blown away by it either....

...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't get much simpler. It also runs off a wall...

...In my opinion the Bose sounddock was a great spend. I was looking for a quality product to enable me to listen to my iPod. I shopped around and tried out a few other speakers, e.g. JBL onstage. The Bose sound was remarkable. It was so clear it was unbelievable. I got a surround sound feeling whilst listening to the speakers and there was no sign of the low hum or odd crackle one sometimes finds accompanies certian speakers. I have now had my Bose speakers for a year. One year on and they still look new (the newer model still looks the same) and the sound is still clear and precise.
