Boss of the scents

Advantages: distinctive scent, very versatile
Disadvantages: bott;w could be improved

...I was given a bottle of Hugo Boss Deep Red as a gift. Not a perfume I would have necessarily bought myself on first sniff, the more I have used this scent, the more that I have grown to love it! An instantly recognisable scent, it is fruity yet also floral and woody. Not comparable to any other perfume that I have tested. It is also a very feminine scent (I find alot of perfumes to be verging on the unisex side so this was good for me) The perfume contains pear, clementine, lily and vanilla. I think it is also a very versatile perfume that can be worn anytime, equally suitable for daytime wear or for a night out on the tiles. The fragrance also lasts quite a while, I would say a good few hours before a fresh spray is required. Also, only a couple of sprays are required per application, so a bottle lasts quite a while. ...I have been using this Eau de Toilette for about five years now. My wife really likes it and no matter what other after shaves I buy I always go back to Hugo Boss Bottled. I feel that it's not to strong and it does smell like proper men's after shave. Many of the new men's fragrances can smell more and more like perfume. It has a crisp sweet smell and I think it's quite refreshing. I know this description is really bad so this is how the Hugo Boss website describes it: "Boss No. 6 Cologne by Hugo Boss, Launched by the design house of boss in 1999. ...HUGO BOSS BOSS We were sitting in church on Sunday and I kept getting a whiff of a really nice smell. You know when you keep on wanting to smell something again and again. I asked Jim what aftershave he had on and he said Insignia. I left it at that until we got in the car and I realized it was my son Ross who was smelling so ( I was going to say lovely but I don’t think he would appreciate that) masculine and really nice . “Where did you get that? “ I said I haven’t smelt that before. It was at the back of all the shaving gear. When we got home I realized Jim had got it as a pressie ages ago and had forgot about it “well discovered Ross” Packing I think it might have changed now but this one is in a black box with BOSS written in large bold letters in white and smaller underneath it...

...It's that time of the year again. You know, when everyone drowns in a sea of unwanted fragrances and aftershaves. Fox ache, I have so many unused bottles of 'smellies' kicking around I could liberally bathe in the stuff...liberally, but not literally. In fact, I have more bottles of aftershave than faces to shave... It's not really surprising, as these things make easy gifts. But what is surprising, is that my son is in almost the same position regarding unwanted aftershave. Why surprising? Because he bears more resemblance to Robinson Crusoe or Wurzel Gummidge than a clean-cut, clean-shaven, matinee idol (like yours truly!). THE BOSS OF THE FRAGRANCE WORLD

Advantages: Great smell, wearable for any occasion

...Coming up to my birthday I noticed I was running out of fragrance. Nightmare! A good fragrance gives me confidence when having a night out and not having to worry about being ?smell-less?. Opening up my presents I kept thinking, ?Where are the smellies??? None until the second to last present which, upon opening, I found a new scent that I hadn?t heard of before, ?Hugo Boss ? Boss?. Eager to try it out I opened up the two-tone grey box and pulled out a rather stylish looking bottle shaped like a cylinder. It had indented lettering on the side of the bottle which spelt out ?Boss?. Upon spraying this Eau De Toilette I noticed it was quite strong but smelt really nice. It has a fresh and clean scent, it?s musky, and quite sweet. Suitable for any aged male I?d say, and can be worn to pretty much any occasion. I?ve worn it at weddings...

Feeling Fruity with Hugo Boss (Deep Red)

Advantages: Long lasting smell, not too overpowering
Disadvantages: Becoming increasingly popular, therefore you wont be the only one wearing it!

...I have to admit I am a very big fan of Hugo Boss perfumes in general, and this one is no different - I absolutely love it. ~~Packaging~~ The packaging is a simple yet distinct design which can automatically be attached and associated with the Hugo Boss range. This one comes in a lovely dark red frosted glass with a silver lid. The lid is easily pulled off to find the usual ?squirt? button found on most perfumes. The wording on the bottle is simple and minimalist in a silver writing. Whilst the bottle isn?t clear, when held up to light you can clearly see how much perfume is left, without it coming as a complete shock when it is no longer coming out the bottle! The bottle, like most perfumes, comes with outer packaging. In this case the outer packaging is a small cardboard box again following the general colour theme...

...I tried the Hugo Boss Deep Red Eau de Parfum at work the other day, because we received a batch of samples in time for Christmas and as I was working on the fragrance counter at Boots so the new arrivals inspired me to try it for myself. I used the tester rather than a sample so I was able to spray it from the bottle. The perfume has been around for about 2 or 3 years now from a maker of popular men and women?s fragrances, Hugo Boss. The fragrance comes in a bottle which is red at the top and fades into darker red at the bottom. The bottle is wider at the bottom than the top and the bottle has a silver click on lid. At the bottom of the bottle ?Deep Red? is written and at the top ?Hugo? in large silver lettering written vertically, the glass of the bottle is frosted. It is quite an attractive perfume bottle but not one...
