...Once again I had found myself bored, thus retreated to my vast collection of DVDs which I had promised myself I would get around to watching. Isn't it amazing that, although there were many potentially great movies, I picked the one with a famous face. I like brad Pitts movies, I mean who doesn't, and upon reading the back I found out that "The Dark Side of the Sun" is Brads movie debut, so I mean it must be good to catapult him to his current height of fame. As soon as the menu came up the violin music began I don't know why but it led me to believe that it was going to be sad; and as the only movie to ever make me cry is The Lion King, (who can hold back when Simba finds his Dad dead and cries for help), I had high expectations. ...This film took 2 attempts to capture my attention on viewing it. Firstly, I had to pay $9.95 to watch it in my hotel room during an evening on my honeymoon. Due to tiredness and a slow start, the film failed to interest me enough to stay awake. I fell asleep 20 mins into the film. On the plane home, It was one of the in flight movies. This delighted me into sitting through it a second time! Im glad I did because if you persevere with it, its quite a funny film. It stars Brad Pitt, a good reason to get most girls to watch it. Being a bloke, I had to settle for Julia Roberts and her overacting as an angry girlfriend. The film follows Pitt in his quest to find,recover and return a gun called the Mexican, to his criminal boss. Many adventures face Brad as he overcomes one hurdle after another in his quest for the firearm...

Brad Pitt steals the show as Jesse James

...The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford My husband and I just bought this DVD at the weekend from HMV. It was £10.99. They did have a two disc DVD with Special/Bonus features which was £14.99 but we decided to go with the cheaper one. I had been wanting to see this movie ever since it came out in the cinema. That may have something to do with the fact that Brad Pitt plays the title character, Jesse James. If you are a Brad fan then this movie is a must for you. He pretty much features in just about every scene and in my opinion is one of his best performances. He does look quite old and tired in this movie but I think that is just the nature of the character. He portrays Jesse James perfectly. He does make you question whether in the end Jesse was actually sorry for all the crimes he had committed and struggling...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. i touched brad pitt!

...i was so excited..i was touching almost every superstar there is in there....i touched brad pitt! oh..i touch princess diana as well..and so many other great people..too be able to stand beside the great micheal jackson was simply adrenalin pumping. i also liked the last bit where you can sit on a train and go through time...the queen in there was horrid..but a great experience.. and the horrors of london during the plague..was simply soo real..the head chopping and the people dying in prison...argh...yucks....but it saves you a lot of time travel with just a visit to madame tussaud..i would ask anyone i know to just go and take a look yourself...
