Furthermore Brain training has also invented a new genre of gaming which is education. We are constantly bombarded with people telling us to eat well, excersise, stop smoking, and to cut back on those full English breakfasts, but who looks after our brain? Train that brain!

Advantages: Tons of activities, keeps your brain healthy and active, lots of sudoku
Disadvantages: doesnt understand some words/handwriting

...After seeing countless TV adverts in the past few weeks showing me games that could actually improve and exercise my brain, namely Big Brain Academy and Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training, I decided to take the plunge and buy one to see what the fuss was all about. In the end I opted for Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training as after reading reviews it sounded like a better choice for the older gamer. Never mind that I didn't actually own a Nintendo DS at the time! Boring Brain Game!!!

Advantages: Cheap to buy compared to other games

Advantages: Nice games! They are quite addictive and fun for once
Disadvantages: Makes you feel like a big loser

...We all know about Brain-busting games. If you like them, then you would have probably own/owned a Brain Training game, like games that show your very own Brain Age. Well, the thing is about Brain Challenge is that it doesn't show your Brain Age. But no, it shows how much percent of your brain you use instead. At the start of the game, it says that people only use about 10% of their brain. Which is true. But what isn't true is that when you do Brain Challenge, your brain rises in percent. If human beings only use 10% of their brain then why do player of Brain Challenge use more? Anyway. There is one big main disadvantage that puts you off the whole game. ...Big Brain Academy - Flex your brain the fun was with family and friends. This game, in my opinion is a great game for adults and children alike. We've had it for a while now and play it from time to time as its great fun and we still haven't bored of it. pinky? or the brain?

Advantages: Increases your brain functions! It really does work!
Disadvantages: Its very addictive!

...Do you feel more like Pinky? Do you want to become the Brain? Well, cartoon mice aside, if you love puzzles, maths or general 'bettering of yourself' you should love this game. I received this game at Christmas and thought 'Oh lord... I'm going to be rubbish at this!' I was worried about appearing a total idiot who couldn't even add 2 + 7.. When I first trained I was told my brains age was 76! Thats 42 yrs older than I am! So mumbling I swore I'd never use the thing again! I shoved it in the cupboard and left it for a total of 2 days before curiosity made me play again. My new score was 44. So I thought it wasn't so bad afterall.. After that I was hooked. I play it everday, the best score I ever got was 21 yrs. The best score that you can get is 20 yrs. Dr K is quite amusing too, he tells you not to stay up late, he sneezes...

To play the game you need to turn your DS sideways, you then choose left or right handed (This DS came from the far east, so not sure if it's the same across the board, but I guess it is). You initially do a very basic exercise, usually a the name of a colour written in coloured writing, but a different coloured writing from the colour spelt out. They occasionally match, but usually they are different. Your challenge is saying the colour the word is written in, not saying the word. For this feature of the game you need to speak out the word. The microphone is good, but remember to speak out clearly. I've had a couple of experiences with the microphone not picking up the sound, even when...
