Braun portable hair styler or drier?
Review of Braun C20S by  Tinkerbella1

Advantages: Portable
Disadvantages: Dries Out Hair

...Im one of those people that you see where everything else in their life is a mess but one thing is perfect, their hair. I think it goes back to when I was a child I had really long hair and it used to get in my eyes all the time so as soon as I discovered hairspray it was like a miracle! My hair has always been poker straight and to be honest it bored me and certainly didnt suit me. I could never recreate the blow dry look that the hairdresser gave me when it was all nicely turned under. I always though curling tongs were for old grannies to tighten their curls but then my Mum bought one and I loved the way her hair curled under. Poker straight suite very few people and unfortunatly Im not one of them so I wanted to keep the curled under look the hairdresser gave me. My Mum has a fantastic Braun steam curling tong which we... Bring your hair to life!
Review of Braun C20S by  Lucy88

Advantages: Portable, steams, range of styles
Disadvantages: dries hair, have to buy energy cells

.... The only piece of advice that I’d been given on the choice of curling tongs was ‘don’t buy anything by Babybliss’. So, I glanced at the selection and the Braun C20S seemed to stand out with it’s steam function and the fact that it was cordless. I took it to the checkout under the impression that it was £20.99, but in fact it had been reduced to £14.00-bargain! I arrived home and set about admiring my little beauty gadget and pouring over the instructions. I have to admit, the first time I looked at the instructions, it did confuse me for a while but I do have a bit of a slow brain and I’d never owned anything like this before. It tuned out that a number of styles are able to be performed by the tong; if you use the tong on its own then the result will be tight ringlets, if the tong is used with the addition of the brush (which is included... Great quality styler
Review of Braun C20S by  justathought

Advantages: cordless, long lasting, good quality, good results
Disadvantages: water reservoir is a bit small

...Well, a few years ago, my friend kindly bought me the Braun c20s as a birthday gift. Since it's lasted me so well, I thought I'd better review it! A few months ago, my sister moved away and wanted one of her own - I didn't know if it would still be available, but phew! it is - it's now called the Braun smoothstyler - the same thing but probably slightly different looking, and possibly improved. What you get The instructions (description, instructions for inserting or changing the energy cell, filling the water reservoir for the steam function, switching it on and tips and instructions for styling and steaming). I like the fact that the instructions have diagrams with text underneath - it's easier to understand. A brush attachment The styler A plastic cover that clips over the styler 2 energy cells (I'm glad... Read review

CANON C20 MULTIPASS - SCAN, FAX, & PRINT - Check It Out!
Review of Canon MultiPASS C20 by  emlin

Advantages: All
Disadvantages: None

...When I read about this wonderful machine, I knew I had to have one. I own a scanner but it's quite loud so I decided to splurge and get the Canon C20 Multipass. Also, my Fax option/program on my Compaq lemon has never worked so I knew this Multipass would solve all my problems. ~~~~~ I have been using the same Hewlett Packard printer for almost four years and, though it still prints well, the HP printer uses a lot of very expensive ink. The cartridges are $30.00 US and they aren't that big anymore and I go through one every two months. So I decided to shop around for an all-in-one machine. ~~~~~ When I read about the Canon C20 Multipass, I knew that I wanted it. It has a sleek design and looks great. The function buttons are clearly marked and simple to understand and operate. They have a great manual design as well... Read review

CURL UP IN A HAYSTACK
Review of Braun C20 by  thingywhatsit

Advantages: Style wherever you are.
Disadvantages: None.

...This is a product that I have used continually for over 15 years, and that I really do care about. It is made by Braun and these Curling Tongs offer something that other curling tongs do not. Total mobility. It doesn't matter if you are in a haystack in the middle of nowhere, or in the car, or on a bus, these curling tongs work everywhere. HOW COME ? They are powered by a little bottle of gas that is available in Boots the Chemist, and the bottle lasts for such a long time. I have not changed my gas bottle in over six months and I use the tongs every time that I wash my hair. These tongs originally cost me £15 and are now available at £29.95 from Tescos online store. Inflation I guess, although I would have paid that price had I needed to at the time. They are very simple to use. You simple switch the switch to "ON... Read review

Braun-y but with Brains, too!
Review of Braun Multisystem Food Processor by  TheChocolateLady

Advantages: Powerful, Versatile, Easy to use and BEAUTIFUL, too!
Disadvantages: Doesn't cream butter and sugar that well in small quantities, but that's about it.

...Its been such a long time since I wrote a consumer product review that I'm not sure I remember how. Well, here goes nothing, and it looks like you're all in for a long read - once again! (Hope I don't bore you.) As a short introduction, let me tell you why I went looking for a new food processor. You see, I have a Braun Multipractic food processor that I purchased in 1982, which is still in good working condition. Since I purchased it, I've changed the plastic bowl once and the cover twice, but other than that, its still working just fine. However, you should understand that I keep a Kosher home. That means that once a year for eight days for the Passover holiday, everything I use during the kitchen the rest of the year round has to be put away and I can only use things that are Kosher for Passover. Ever since my mother... Read review

Braun with Brains
Review of Braun 8595 Activator System by  trevorbrock

Advantages: Quiet, smooth and comfortable
Disadvantages: Costly as a one off purchase

...One day soon, I will be in a position to write my autobiography, based on the Braun shavers that I have owned and used during my lifetime. I have kept them all, though I have discovered no reason for doing so and no useful purpose for them either.! - it is just a sad reflection on the hoarding tendencies of the Badger clan.! My last Braun - reviewed 18 months ago, decided to play a very nasty trick on me. The contraption it comes with, which cleans and recharges the shaver after each use, decided to malfunction.! I searched for a replacment cleaning unit and the cheapest in the UK costs £52. In the States I could get one for $29, but the cost of shipping, VAT, customs etc put me off. Since £52 is half the cost of a complete new Braun system, I used my old brain, and went for a new Braun. 1 The Purchase %%%%%%%% So, being... Read review

Braun 4775 - Not Cheap - But Quality.
Review of Braun 4775 by  derek-j-a

Advantages: Efficient shaving, smooth shave, reliability
Disadvantages: Skin needs time to adjust - as with all electric shaving

...birthday that I had an electric shaver. If I remember correctly, I think it was a Philishave or something similar. Fantastic, I thought, no more shaving the heads of spots! No just red raw skin and the occasional use of a blade to remove the bristles that the shaver seemed to miss. At least I wasn't bleeding, so when my father said, "you will need to give it time for your skin to adjust and use it twice a day," that didn't go down too well either. Over the years, I alternated between wet and electric shaving until I got a Braun circa 1978. This was shaving heaven; the blades were sharp and sliced through the toughest of bristles without effort and without the feeling that I was sandpapering my face. This shaver was replaced with another new identical Braun (the exact model eludes me right now) in 1987, and my latest acquisition in December... Read review

Better buy Braun again - Braun MR4000 Hand Blender
Review of Braun MR4000 by  jennysue

Advantages: Good design, high power, easy to clean, blade and stem are dishwasherproof
Disadvantages: Fragile beaker

...When both my old Braun Blenders broke within a couple of weeks I worked out how much use they had had in their lifetime. One was over 10 years old, the other was about 8 years old. bought when I first met my husband and we had two homes for a few years. The older blenders did not take apart to wash. Consequently, I assume, food debris worked up into the motor and clogged it, eventually burning out the motor. I originally looked at the much more sophisticated Braun Multipractic which was advertised on TV over Christmas. However, I already have other appliances which do all the same jobs that this appliance’s attachments do, so looked for another simple stick blender. There is plenty of choice out there. A look on Comet, Argos and Curry’s websites identified half a dozen options made by Kenwood, Phillips... Read review

Braun Epilator
Review of Braun 7681 Xpressive EASY Start Body+face by  Troublesome_Tempest

Advantages: Lots of accessories, good instructions, excellent range of features
Disadvantages: none specific to the product itself, several to the process of epilating

...I bought this product to replace an older version from a different manufacturer that I have had for about five years. I moved from North America to the UK and my old epilator wasn't dual voltage, so buying a new one was easier than the variety of adaptors and step down devices I would have had to find to keep using the old one. Because I've been epilating so long, its hard for me to comment on the pain level of the Braun vs any other epilator as I really don't get much pain from the process anymore. At first it does hurt when you use it, but in my experience your skin gets accustomed, your hair roots get weaker, and the whole process gets quicker and easier. Quite a few of my hairs on my legs just don't grow in anymore. I do find my Braun to be much more efficent than my previous model, which I believe was a Remington. The Braun... Read review
