Oral B better than Sonic Care
Review of Braun 3D Plaque Remover Electric Toothbrush by
The_Ded_Lobster
Advantages: Oral B is ideal for the lazy and keeps your gums healthy.
Disadvantages: You have to remember to keep it charged up.
...18 months ago I had severe gum disease. My dentist recommended that I start using an electric toothbrush to make my cleaning more effective. I had always assumed that electric brushes were gimmicks for the lazy - but after using the Oral B my dental hygiene has improved dramatically. Regular trips to see a dental hygienist have confirmed my progress. Midway through my treatment, the hygienest gave me a Sonic Care brush to try. I had no problem with the brush itself, but found that it was not as effective for me as the Oral B had been. I've now gone back to the Oral B, changing heads about every 2 months. My wife is using it too and we've both seen the benefits....

Braun Oral-B D7 for children
Review of Braun Oral B D7 Toothbrush for children by
RuthJean
Advantages: Makes brushing their teeth fun
Disadvantages: none
...I have used an Oral-B Plaque Remover for several years now and have been very happy with... when I had problems with my special Needs child refusing to brush his teeth I was overjoyed to see that Oral-B had brought out a toothbrush especially for children.
It comes in a really fun blue and green, with a smaller, child-size handle. the head is similar to the adults, though the bristles are softer and the head rotates at a speed more suitable to childrens' teeth.
I showed it to my child and he thought it was brilliant. He was "all grown-up" with a toothbrush like his mummy and daddy's. He loves using it so much that he would use it all day if I didn't keep an eye on him.
so, if you want to encourage your children to brush their teeth properly, this is a small price to pay, especially as you can use interchangeable heads so they can...

A Compilation of Cat Mysteries
Review of The Cat Who Had 14 Tales - Lilian Jackson Braun by
KarenUK
Advantages: well written, easy to read, suitable for children too
Disadvantages: none
...Lilian Jackson Braun is an author I have reviewed on ciao before. She writes detective stories usually, about the character of Jim Quilleran and his cats.
But this book 'The Cat Who Had Fourteen Tales' is something a little different. It is a collection of short stories, all featuring cats.
I am not usually a fan of short stories, finding them insufficient to interest me. But Lilian Jackson Braun's collection is excellent. It is well constructed, the stories are all different - mysteries, a ghost story, some written as though they are samples of oral history and so on.
I enjoyed this so much that I have now recommended it to my ten year old daughter to read. It is suitable for children too, as it contains no swearing, only minor violence and no sexual content....

A great vibrator for the lazy
Review of Braun D6011(D6) by
ElizaDanby
Advantages: Great clean with minimal effort
Disadvantages: Pricey replacement heads
...I was given the Braun Oral B electric toothbrush for christmas by a family member who had no idea what to but me. may not seem like an exciting prezzie but i'm very glad of it.
I chew through packets and packets of mints a day and have done evr since i can remember. As a result i have had extensive work done at the dentists. And i can be a bit lazy when it comes to cleaning my teeth thoroughly.
the braun electric toothbrush is great for lazy people like me. Minimum effort, minimum cleaning after use, and a fantastic clean. My mouth feels so clean and to test it i found some of those colour tablets like they give you in primary schools when promoting the importance of healthy teeth. Colour shows up on your teeth where plaque remains. The scarce bit of colour that did remain after brushing (probably due to my laziness)was easily...

Braun D 12.523 Vitality + EB 17-2
Review of Braun ORAL-B D 12.523 Vitality + EB 17-2 by
Theman000
Advantages: 7600 oscillations a minute, 2 brush heads included, timer
Disadvantages: needs charging every 5 days
...I have been using this Braun electric toothbrush for several months now and so far I am very pleased with it. Unlike many other electric toothbrushes from Braun, this one has a timer that lets you know (it pulsates) once you've brushed for 2 minutes.
The head moves 7600x per minute which is less than the 8000 oscillations per minute of the most expensive Braun model, but it is more than sufficiant for the average user.
This Braun comes with 2 brushheads included. Technically you should replace the heads every 3 months so these 2 should last you for about 6-7 months.
People often complain about the price of the Brush heads, but I think it needs to be seen perspective. An average brush head costs between £3-6, which is between £1-3 a month. Is that really too much? I personally think that's pretty cheap compared to a normal manual...

Well worth the money
Review of Braun ORAL-B PC 8500 DLX D 18.585 X by
kitty.cat
Advantages: Teeth so clean they felt polished
Disadvantages: Waiting for toothbrush to charge when it arrived
...I'd had a Braun electric toothbrush for many years but dropped it on a tiled surface and it died shortly after. After much deliberation I opted for the Professional Care toothbrush although I thought it was a bit pricey.
After using this toothbrush my teeth felt so smooth and shiny. The only other time they've felt this clean was when I had them polished to remove all the adhesive after I had my brace removed. The timer is really useful as well as it tells you when to move on to the next quarter of your mouth.
I'm not so keen on the tongue cleaner attachment, I usually use a brush for that anyway, and I haven't tried the whitener brush yet but the flossing stick is quite good although a bit tickly.
The charge lasts for a few weeks and when it was low the other day I used my partners old Braun electric toothbrush...

Braun Oral-B Pro White Brush Heads
Review of Braun ORAL-B EB 18-2 PRO Bright by
newby2
Advantages: seem to work
Disadvantages: price
...Braun Oral-B Pro White Brush Heads
After doing my review on my wonderful Braun Oral-B toothbrush I thought I would write a quick review on these replacement toothbrush heads. I had to replace both my boyfriends’ heads and mine the other month and seeing as I was on a trip to Argos I thought I would see if they stocked the head replacements. They did and I was drawn to buying a slightly more expensive head as this one claimed it was a PRO!
The head usually cost around £7 for two from Boots but these PRO heads cost me £9.99 pence for the two heads, which is a little bit more, but I thought I would try something new and see how it worked out. I was pretty happy with the results after using the new heads and whether that was because out other brush heads were very worn or truly because this new PRO design really did work better I am...

Pulsating Braun
Review of Braun ORAL-B PC 8500 DLX D 18.585 X by
trevorbrock
Advantages: Powerful and effective
Disadvantages: Big initial outlay
...This is a worthwhile product for those still brushing away with manual toothbrushes.
I used to be sceptical, too - but several years with another Braun toothbrush, a 4729, has changed my tune.
Don't just take my word - the dentists all seem to agree that power brushing is as good for you as power walking!
For those who have an older power toothbrush, let me say that upgrading is worthwhile.
My darling wife had to be convinced that this was the case. Her first assumption was that her gadget-addicted husband had just been tempted by another blue neon light.
Within a day of using the new Braun, she was agreed that it is a significant improvement.
What do you get ?
It is a much more powerful model than previous ones, and you can select any of three speeds.
It has both oscillating and pulsating action which seems to clean more effectively...
