Braun Xpressive Epilator - I love this product!

Advantages: Easy to hold, has a light to show up hairs, re-chargeable.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

...I love my Braun Expressive Epilator. For years I have wanted to try an epilator for removing the hairs on my legs, but have been put off by stories of pain and the fact that most have looked liked instruments of torture (ok ok, so I exagerate, but you get the idea of my wimpish attitude). I was a firm "shaving will do" type of gal. It's amazing how attitudes can change once you have become a mother. You have a sort of "I've given birth to 4 children, what can hurt more than that?!" attitude which makes you look at the world in a whole new light. Out shopping one day, I saw these Braun Xpressive Epilators on offer and decided to give one a go - the new big brave girl that I am... Braun Epilator

Advantages: Lots of accessories, good instructions, excellent range of features
Disadvantages: none specific to the product itself, several to the process of epilating

...I bought this product to replace an older version from a different manufacturer that I have had for about five years. I moved from North America to the UK and my old epilator wasn't dual voltage, so buying a new one was easier than the variety of adaptors and step down devices I would have had to find to keep using the old one. Because I've been epilating so long, its hard for me to comment on the pain level of the Braun vs any other epilator as I really don't get much pain from the process anymore. At first it does hurt when you use it, but in my experience your skin gets accustomed, your hair roots get weaker, and the whole process gets quicker and easier. Quite a few of my hairs on my legs just don't grow in anymore. I do find my Braun to be much more efficent than my previous model, which I believe was a Remington. The Braun...

...I cannot believe I am writing a review for an epilator. Really - I cannot. I am the biggest wuss out there when it comes to pain, so that has ruled out waxing, and I also detest the smell of depilatory creams, meaning I have been shaving for years. That changed last year when I was given the opportunity to try out a Braun Silk Epil Xpressive epilator. At the time it was branded the 7681 but it is now branded as the 7781 despite being exactly the same product - a fact Amazon backs up. This is without doubt the best Braun shaver to date. The combination of the new head, foil and cutter assembly has made this shaver the one to beat. Normally retailing at just under 40 pounds, we managed to pick it up for just under 30pounds, a real bargain. It really is so simple, switch it on, wait for 3 digital lines to appear, press the button, put it in her ear and within 2 seconds it beeps to tell you the temperture has been recorded. Thats it!! Braun 4775 - Not Cheap - But Quality.
